Released today in North America.

I picked up a copy to tide me over until Empire next week, and just to give it a try. I'll let you know how it is later.

Anyone else?

I have the xbox version on my to-play pile. I chose that version because it's the only system where I'd be able to try out the voice commands without buying additional hardware. It looks good and I have reasonably high hopes for the game; if nothing else it has some intriguing ideas. Once I've finished my two big games in progress (Neverwinter Nights 2 and Dragon Quest IV) I shall probably start Endwar.

Endwar got lost in the christmas rush; too many other games around. Not many people got it, fewer still gave it much time. The Tom Clancy label doesn't help it; it certainly made me dismissive of it at first. In the end the outpouring of love for it by some people whose gaming opinion I respect got my attention, and I took a closer look. Three months later and they still burst into raptures whenever the game gets mentioned; impressive considering how many games these people play and discuss.

Well that's certainly encouraging news...

I never got a chance to install the game last night. Life was calling until the wee hours :juggle2:

I'm definitely getting it up and going today though. I'll post again here later tonight when I've got a good feel of the game.

Eh, I didn't like it. The camera felt clunky and didnt at all feel fluid. The voice command system was a very cool idea and its done relatively well, better than anyone else has before them anyway, but its still not done in such a way that is flawless 100% of the time. Close though.

Unit movement speeds were insanely low, made only more frustrating that when you get reinforcements it takes forever for them to get up to where the fighting has shifted. air units are the only things that move relatively quickly and without support they tend to get chewed up by ground targets.

It was a fine concept, and i'm sure a fine game, but it wasnt my cup of tea.
