Seriously, some where around 1590 or so there is going to be a tie-breaker called the Legendary geisha. Either you get one or the A.I does.
Whoever gets a Geisha first can whack every leader right up to and including the Daimyo. You can only combat the geisha with a very good or lucky ninja or another geisha. I have only played long enough to encounter the geisha once. I got lucky and a ninja got her, but the second one was about to get me when I won the game. The game designers put this improbable character in the game to prevent stalemates. They have no movement restriction and whiz across the map like they use teleporters. Scary!

I once played as Shimazu until the summer of 2032. By that time, Hojo and I were running geishas rampant. And our daimyos were scurrying around the map like rats trying to escape a flood. Some years before the last, I killed off the last of the Hojo, and then it was ronin mop-up.

I just wanted to see how long I could go... but I had to give in and win it after the ronin scum took over.... after all that time, it can start to get dull...
