Jerry Lee Lewis-Great Balls of Fire (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IjgZGhHrYY)

This is literally the first song I remember listening to. My parents used to play it on a "greatest hits" LP when I was about 3, and I would completely freak out to it. I still listen to that same LP.

Maybe not classic, my favorites from that period are the "novelty" songs:
The Purple People Eater (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_People_Eater)
Witch Doctor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witch_Doctor_(song))
Yakety Yak (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakety_Yak)
The Battle of New Orleans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Battle_of_New_Orleans)
(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/(How_Much_Is)_That_Doggie_in_the_Window%3F)
and similar ilk.

Not from the 50's, but the best of the bunch has to be Spike Jones' Der Fuehrer's Face (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Fuehrer%27s_Face). That one is classic. :laugh4:

Peggy Lee—Fever (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYxoAJ3Boyc) (this recording is from the '60s, but the song was a hit in the '50s)
