So with the DLC announcement,

While Mark was showing me out he also pointed out a wicked new trailer that is coming out shortly that is going to knock your socks off guys, he then went on to say that even though Empire is technically finished it isn't finished yet as CA are currently working on new downloadable content for the future that will bring even more depth to the game woo hoo!!

as others have mentioned, the question arises as to what exactly you'd want to see in DLC.

So I made this little poll, it dosn't cover everything nothing can. Still feel free to post here about what you want in DLC, and who knows maybe the devs will see it :)

It appears I currently lack the ability to vote... but if I could... then I would need two votes. I would want both new geographic areas, and new playable factions that are historically prominent in those new areas.

I would love new time frame, and more Africa and Asia. Maybe South America. I'm not too keen on that, unless the time frame increases to allow colony's nationalism to spark.

I wouldn't worry about new units, but I would like to see more Native factions.

I think they should go easy on new units, unless they have obviously left something out. More faction "flavour" units, perhaps, or maybe special regiments with an ingame number limit.

Napoleon is surely a no-brainer, isn't it?

Anything and everything they do to expand the scope is a plus no matter how big the game is already.

I voted for everything but geh. :laugh4:

I expect more special units. If they add other factions, map area, and abilities it would be super!

Bouncing ideas around can result in something totally unexpected and sometimes they can even work.

Just like my Pipe Dream thread, it is about ideas and if something can work in a game and the Devs can pick up on it, it can pay dividends for the game and the company.

The ability to add the content and get it to the customers increases the life of the game which increases profitability.

If a couple of guys are working on extras and improvements and the fans are enjoying the game and making noise, then it can keep the game on the shelves longer and create a larger fan base.

This game took a long time to make from inception to delivery. Time is also money spent and keeping it selling well even for a few extra months can make a difference in returns…and we want them to do well and make more games, don’t we?

I don't want DLC if it isn't free. Expansions are fine.

Well, units, geographical areas and playable factions, buildings or so might not hurt either like more different forts or so.
But it's all completely irrelevant if it does not come at a fair price, I get tons of models code etc. for the 46EUR I pay for the full game, don't make me pay 10EUR for 5 new units because that would make me say "no, thanks". Also since I bought my game from the UK but live in Germany, allow me to get the proper UK DLC because if you only let me access the content for my region I'm not even going to try downloading it for fear it will mess up my game completely, somehow I think that cancels out distribution via Steam...

Obviously chances that I will buy any DLC are rather low, not that it bothers me a lot... :juggle2:

I'd like to see them add more area t othe map in the form of South America, Africa etc. along with the new factions and units those additions would require.

Enough of that and the Grand Campaign will be truly epic in scale. :2thumbsup:

if it's free i'll take it, if not then don't bother as i will never buy it unless it is sold as an expansion disc.

Why can't I vote on this poll?

Maybe adding the rest of Africa. The african land grab could be fun and one of the historical battles could be Rourke's Drift.

This was before they realised you would lead a Demo legion and rise up against the moderaing staff .

See, this is a valuable rebellion lesson.

If you appoint a minister, just make sure he does not have alot of free time...because if he does..he may be plotting something :laugh4:

Maybe a new factions, updated unit rosters or areas. I mean they could add in Brazil and make Portugal important. Or they could add in South Africa or China for more imperialism.
