hey guys need help with 16 bit driver games on 64 bit pcs [Archive]

K its all very complacated for me and im a x member (might return for etw) of the online community.

I dont think i knew too many here but if anyone knows me then great to see you again! everybody thanks in advanced for any help!

I have this game Zeus: Master of Olympus

I have tried so much to get this game to work and have done a lot of research.

Heres what i know is wrong:

Its an old game that used to run on 16 bit drivers. Now drivers are a bit more advanced these days and they are reaching 64 bit and from what i gather some new vista computers are also 32 bit

If you are running a 32 bit driver it will play

64 bit, it wont.

Im 64 bit and used to love this game!

Have you tried running the game in Windows 95/98 compatibility mode?

When you try to run the game what errror message do you see?

I tried and when i do that it changes colour settings and then stops as if nothing happened. when its not on compatability nothing happens at all.. also i was messing around with a few of the colour options to see if that would do something but it didnt.

Hmmm... you could try running Windows 95/98 in a virtual machine. That might do the trick.

You're on Vista 64bit? I'm pretty sure 16-bit applications just plain don't run in 64bit Vista. :shame:

Hmmm... you could try running Windows 95/98 in a virtual machine. That might do the trick.Running a VM would probably work, but that sounds like an awful lot of work- I guess it depends how much he loves the game. :beam:
