It looked like in-game footage. So it is probably a possibility.

Trailers are supposed to encourage people to buy the game. Most people, I guess, will be...

It may be cinematised but it's still gameplay just 'filmed' from a different perspective.

Actually reminds me of the Faction Intro's that MTW2 had, where it was gameplay but looked drawn by hand?

I still prefered rome's faction intro's best.
