Change Difficult Settings

Hey does anyone know how to change diffculty settings once you've already started a campaign?

I can change the battle difficulty by going to game menu>options>games settings>battledifficulty but I can't find anywhere to change the campaign setting?

I'm a good ways into my campaign and I'm not sure if I maxxed the difficulty level so I don't really want to go back and start a new one...

I think there is a way if you go to your documents and settings. I can't remember the exact location of the file you need to change, I'm sure someone on here will know what I'm talking about.

I don't know if it will take effect in your current game but it's worth a try.

Once a campaign is started, you cannot change the campaign difficulty for that campaign.

edit: possibly with save file manipulation, but you really dont want to go there.
