Okay, so I bought Empire: Total War Special Forces Edition.

When I installed the game I used the key found on the back of the manual.

Once the game was installed I used the key on the Special Forces sheet and activated it through Steam.

I then activated through Steam the code that Amazon e-mailed me for their exclusive unit.


Now according to the FAQ on the Total War website, I should see a tab called "DLC" which tells me that I have downloaded my extra units. But I do not.

Also, a friend of mine (who bought Special Forces from Amazon just like I did) says that after activating each code he was given a new shortcut.

Can anyone help me? I don't know whats going on.

Nevermind, it worked just by addind the key... doh moment.. :D

I was already asking about this before I've installed it. It's in another thread.

I'm installing shortly and I'll see what I can figure out.

I would imagine you can unlock those units at anytime, no? As in - You don't HAVE to do it now...we could do it in a day or two?

Yeah you can definately do it anytime.

Okay well having looked in the custom battle section I can confirm that my Special Reinforcements and my Amazon units are available after activating their codes. They just don't show on any "DLC" tab like the FAQ says they should. Odd but hey, they're there.

Same here, though I forgot to check custom battle, but that's what confused me too.

You right click "Empire: Total War" and "View Downloadable Content".
Haven't got a code from Amazon UK yet >.<

If you're anything like me it might have been sent to your junk mail automatically or you might have deleted it yourself without opening. Both myself and a friend did this and had to retrieve it from the Deleted folder :oops:
