My rig takes some time to get ready. Could you please what special units do the various European factions have?

Britain have the following:
Roger's Rangers (with Special Forces): A slightly better version of the standard Ranger skirmisher unit.
H.M.S Victory (with Special Forces): A very powerful first rate SOL.
The Black Watch: Elite line infantry
The Coldstream Guard: Elite line infantry
They all have line infantry. You use line infantry. When in doubt, recruit line infantry.
On a more serious side, there's very few unique units this time around. Some factions don't even have any. Most of the "unique" units are actually the same, just renamed for every faction that has them. I believe France and only 2 other nations have missile cavalry.
Then again, the stats of line infantry does vary between factions. I think the most unique is Austria's. Theirs is significantly weaker but have 150 men on default, instead of 120.
I think the Fluyt is a unique Dutch (naval) unit, but I'm not 100% sure

There are some region specific units too, like the ones Sweden can recruit in Finland. The name of the unit escapes me.

-Prussia has Jaegers(Light Inf with exceptional range), but since they're not available until the end of the tech tree you'll barely use them...

Thanks. If Austria has a rather unique rooster, what are their units?
a) A large line infantry 150 vs 120.
b) Light dragoons
c) ?
d) ?

-Austria also has some Light Infantry with 125 range(Line Inf has 70) and some irregular infantry with 80 range and otherwise pretty crap stats.

Hakkapeliitta is Finnish light cavalry. Too bad they made them weaker then generic regional light cavalry though (stat wise at least)... their only advantage is that they don't suffer as much cold fatigue from what I can see.
russia has alot of cossack troops and also streloks infantry and cavalry as militia/police forces that date from the previous century and their line infantry has only 35 vs the usual 45 accuracy, they are slightly cheaper though iirc.

Welcome to the Org Imp :2thumbsup:.
As others have mentioned Austria get Pandours, which are essentially a militia version of light infantry; slightly longer range than line infantry, but otherwise pretty weak.
They also get Jaegers late on, very long-range light infantry.
From Hungary they can recruit Uhlans cavalry, which I believe they share with Poland, and Hungarian Hussars, which I suspect they don't.

Strelets, you mean.
I do think it's funny, considering 'Strelets' is a Russian loan word from Polish which means 'shooter' that the unit in question doesn't have a gun.
Well some of those "shooters" were armed with pikes.

Certainly, but by this time the majority of them were using old fashioned muskets, at least. The purpose of those bardiches they carry was (originally) to act as a brace for the heavy, old-fashioned arqubuses as well as to use as a weapon.
Either way, they're rather misrepresented in the game. They were basically the Russian version of the Janissary Corps, and by their end were just as corrupt and about as useless. Peter the Great's western-style regiments thrashed them. Their involvement in the game, however, is accurate. Peter recalled the Streltsy that remained loyal to him for use in the Great Northern War, since he was having trouble raising all the troops he needed for the conflict.
But I believe the Streltsy were disbanded about the same time the Russian Empire was declared.
Most of them are gone by 1720.

And, I guess I just found this out, where has it been mentioned? :P
There are unique upgrades for some structures for some nations.. no clue as to all yet though, only know Swedens.. :)
