How create generals?

Hi. I have only one general at the moment. How do I create more of them?

Select the lead unit and click on the star at the right. This will recruit a General if the Units is well enough to do so.

And be very, very careful not to click the star when you have more than one unit selected. You will end up losing huge amonuts of money and gaining several useless Generals. The more Generals you promote the worse they get.
