I am probably just missing the obvious, but where/when/how do you (as Great Britain) get access to Highland infantry?

I think you can recruit them only in Schotland, but that's just a tought...

That's what I would assume, but I am not seeing them, despite being most of the way up the tech tree for land units . . .

I'm at the very start with my British campaign but I saw in the tech research window that you will get the Black Watch at least from the last barracks.

Has anybody already seen Jacobite rebels emerging with sword wielding wild highlanders and such?

They are? I have Black Watch (from Special Forces), but not the generic "Highlanders" like we have the Brandywine Scenario.

Um the Black watch is not a special forces only unit.

I can't speak for the Jacobites, but when I conquered GB's territories in Europe and abandoned Ireland and Scotland to the dogs, Ireland and Scotland emerged as factions. The two famed banners: green flag with a golden harp, blue flag with a white cross. The Scots had some clansmen; that is, they wield swords and pistols (haven't personally fought them yet, but that's what it says on the total war site).

Btw, GB was destroyed, and their colonies in NA went to various emergant factions.

Thank you, Megas M. :beam: I will do all what's necessary to take a look at them. This will unfortunately end a very long peaceful time in Europe.

*Notice to my general of the western army: sail to UK and "free" the Scots and Irish.*
