'Fight club' probe at home for mentally ill
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=769698
Profoundly disabled young men were forced into "fight club" style battles by the people hired to care for them in a Texas residential facility, police have said.
The staged battles — which appear to have been going on for at least two years — were discovered when police reviewed the video on a cell phone camera found lying in the road.
Personally when I read this i was laughing the whole way through. But man think about this, an institute in Texas was holding fight club style matches for the mentally ill and physically disabled... What the heck is going on down there.
It's freedom to hold fight club style matches, one of the many benefits of capitalism. :sweatdrop:
Oh wait, I think I dropped some sarcasm there.
Of course this sounds rather weird, depending on how mentally ill the people were and how they were made to do this. But I guess they were semi-forced to do that at least so it's pretty disgusting, almost like mental facilities are portrayed in some horror movies.

You should be ashamed then. I'm not trying to paint myself as some kind of do-gooding saint, but honestly reading that I felt disgusted.

I don't see a problem with this. In fact, not letting them fight is discrimination.

Picking on the weakest is pretty bad.
When it is the people who are supposed to be looking after them who are doing it for fun, it is about as bad as it can get.
Live by the sword, die by the sword. Resolve it Battle-Royale style. First let all the 'carers' fight to the death and then bill the relatives for the weapons.
