When I move the cursor to the edge of the screen, it takes about half a second to actually start moving in that direction. It is very noticeable and annoying...
Then I started using WASD to move and here comes the big problem: lag. The map lags on 800x600 (90 fps) and on 1920x1200 (35 fps - native) on Radeon 4870 1 GB (setting on ultra).
I installed Fraps and started benchmarking the results, but there are no drastic FPS drops (<25) when I can visually see the lag.
Another thing. Are shadows meant to look so ugly and blocky? Even on 4x MSAA, everything is shaded like its made out of LEGO bricks.
:sweatdrop::help:
adjust your visual settings. first, put everything on low and the resolution you want then check if you still lag.
if your lag is gone try puttings a few settings on high and see what causes the lag.
thats what i did on mine and i found the sweet spot =)

Here is another campaign map issue. Gilbralter :wall:
I tried to send an army into the Mediterain to attack the Barbary pirates but when I reached Gilbralter, Moroco had three ships parked between the strights plundering the trade routes. There was no way I could get across without having to declare war on them.
Either I did that, or I would have to try to get military acess from Spain and every single country on the coast, past Italy, passed the Ottomans, down into Egypt then finally across to the pirates. :no: And since the Morocans didn't like me, asking them for acess would of been futile as well.

I ran into that same situation.
My solution though was just to beat the snot out of morocco. :charge:

Interesting I see some lag moving the map around only when I have a unit or agent selected. I also get a lot of lag just selecting a Naval Unit sometimes. Without selecting a unit the map scrolls around real nicely...
I also see the same issue in some M2TW mods with extra large maps oddly enough...
