So I've just spent my day off thoroughly enjoying my Prussian campaign. But about twenty minutes ago a revolution occured and I got asked if I wanted to join it or fight to maintain the current monarchy. Well I chose the former and I was left with a pitiful band of soldiers and told to take out my capital city which I had just freshly filled with the best units I could. I simply cannot win. The last time I saved my Prussian game was about two hours ago.
So my question is, have I just stuffed myself?

sigh
What's interesting is that my rebels have a German flag, so if I win, do I form Germany or something? That's so gutting. There doesn't even appear to be any way to recruit more rebels from the countryside.
did you try the autosave file?
It normally holds the turn before.

If you take the capital, you resume control as before but you would now be a republic and have the German flag, which I think is a nice touch.
I engineered my own revolution so I had a bigger army than the Loyals in Berlin, which I had emptied before revolting.

Yeah I did but sadly I had already ended the turn hoping that something would happen to give me more troops.

-Should be a way to increase your rebel army size.

Auto-save is your friend, but yes, this is exactly what happened to me.
Yeah I did but sadly I had already ended the turn hoping that something would happen to give me more troops.
Thats just to bad :)
maybe try luring them out with small portion of your troops and sneak attack with another one?
I dont even know if this is possible I'm just thinking out loud.
There is a way to get more soldiers to join your rebel cause. Park a full stack in the region but not too close to the capital itself. When the revolution begins some of the units in the stack will join the rebels. I had an experienced general, six regiments of line infantry, three cuirassier regiments and five artillery regiments helping the normal stack of rebels you get in the assault on the capital. The capital will also get more defenders if this happens, but these tend to be militia at best, while you get to use veteran troops and good commander if present.
