Ok so in the begging of my grand campaign either Sweden declared war on one of my allies or the other way round I cant remember but its now 1750 and I haven’t done anything to Sweden or them to me, so I decided to get a peace treaty but no mater what I do they wont have it. I have given them gifts sent them money with the peace treaty whatever I do they say “is your position so insecure bla bla bla.”

Try taking one of their cities. When they realise they're getting their asses handed to them, they might want to accept peace.

You can take one of their cities and then sell it back to them along with a peace offering. The AI from my experience will pay upwards of 20k for peace/region combination. You will probably have to tribute it over 5 turns though and not take a lump sum though.

You could try a large sum of money or maybe a province you don't need for peace, along with some technology?
I mean this to all be done in one transaction, so they have to accept peace if they want the reward.

If it's a not a succession war:
- give china/horses/jewels
- offer peace + money
The amount of money & presents varies depending on your/their strength, prestige, provinces, war efforts so far, etc, etc.

Take Stockholm from them and then offer it back along with a peace treaty.

Works for me with the Ottomans and Constantinople.

as others have stated a show of strength mite be enough to coerce them into peace, take a city, destroy a full stack somewhere if they have 1 loitering around. or just offer them a heap of crappy out of date techs u dont care about. usually need to offer 3-4 in my experience but who cares about carbines and drumming when u have platoonfire etc :)

if they still wont accept your only choice would be to take a city and offer it back or just offer a straight peace deal after beating them up abit :)

the AI will not accept peace if its not losing :) its a bit like EU we need a warmeter :D so we can see how the war is progressing :D
