For the most part it works, though it does have its bugs.
1)FOW sometimes won't let you see anything, there are some ways to fix it but no gurantees.
2)Emergent factions don't work.
3)Proctorates might work for a while, then lock up.

Looks like people are on the right path to unlocking all the factions, but I think I will wait until a more stable version becomes available.
