Cutscene lag

Is it just me, or do the cutscenes lag like hell? They just crawl along at 1 FPS....

Why didn't then include the prerendered video cutscenes? They are much more friendly on the computer.

Specs: E8600 @ 4.5 GHz, 4GB RAM, Radeon 4870 w/ 1 GB of onboard memory , 7200RPM HDD... I see no problems here....

Yeah, the cutscenes lag 50%ish of the time. The other half of the time, it goes smoothly. Usually if it lags I close empire and boot it back up, seems to fix the problem

turn off the SSAO option in the graphics options. that will get rid of most of the lag.

The Dueling videos lag like crazy for me.

The only laggy part of the game for me is the campagin map for some reason, including the cutscenes.

I get some pretty bad lag on the videos sometimes too. Also I can confirm that SLI doesn't work on this game plus the campaign map is a bit laggy no matter the settings.

I was experimenting and came upong the same solution. Honestly notice very little difference.

Oh ambiguous English. I meant that it worked but I didn't see any difference in the movie quality.

More importantly does it stop that silly crash after the Revoultion cinematic?

It does only solve the sound problem. I used the fix and it did fix the sounf but I still have duel lag and and I have not had a revolt yet so I have not yet seen that scene.

Hmmm, well my lag is gone. Perhaps you guys should mess with the Hardware shadows and shader models.
