ETW and the Royal Mail! Something not to like about the nation!
2 weeks and 1 day to get to Munich from Jersey!:furious3:
Well at least it finally arrived! :2thumbsup:
And I sure hope my other friends in Germany have now received their copies as well!
Husar! Have you got it yet?

I ordered my copy from amazon Marketplace (Germany) and the next day it was in the mail. Paid 40,80 EUR, delivery included, not much more than i would've paid for ordering from UK from what i've seen.
Anyway, i only played RTI so far because of all the bugs. I don't want to play hours just to have something wreck my savegame and i can start over... So until a patch fixes everything that is necessary to acually enjoy the game i stick with Medieval 2. ;)
Not, yet, was away in the morning though, so maybe my neighbors accepted it for me or it will come later. (cery rarely I get deliveries in the afternoon)
Either way it's an unfortunate time now as I have to learn for my mathematics exam as well. :sweatdrop:
It took Royal Mail 6 days to get the game to me and I live 5 minutes away from an Amazon warehouse.
Considering it's Royal Mail the fact that it made it as far as Germany at all is a small miracle.

It was not delivered as a package!
It was small enough to go into the mail box.
15 days from Jersey...yea, it was an oxcart...
Same for me it took 15 days to NRW. Since games.co.uk said it was released on the second I thought the game was lost on it's way and ordered the special edition on amazon.co.uk too. Now I have both. :inquisitive:
Was the german version censored, or what was your reason for ordering it from the UK?
I think the german version is uncensored, but I have read we don't have blood in it but I am not sure if the blood is active in the UK version. Strangely the PEGI rating is 16 and the german rating is 12.
I bought the UK edition since I wanted to have the Death's Head Hussars, which I though were exclusive to games.co.uk. Also it is cheaper to import games from the UK than to buy them in germany. Because of the pricing schema, the weak pound or the strong euro, atm.

I wonder if that would make a worthwile mod? All the posties turn up and try to kill your army with letters and parcels. of course they would have to turn up late....:laugh4:
This is why the colonies revolted, btw. It wasn't the taxes without representation, it was the terrible mail service! :help:
Grats on your copy Fisherking, now get to playing so you can clamor for (patch) reform like the rest of us!
It would probably take even longer though, if Mandelson got his way.
(Heh heh heh)

First: In the last two games the German Language edition is buggier than the English one.
Second: I wanted the English Language edition because English is my native language.
Third: I wanted the SF edition and play.com had the USS Constitution.
edit: As it is I got an all languages version!
Had I known that the Royal Mail was so incredibly slow I might have walked to the UK to pick it up!

Sitting in Germany and still waiting for my copy. But then it was only dispatched one week ago. 15 days you say, seems like I have to be patient a little more.
Well, I wanted the USS Constitution and to save money, and having an english version can't hurt either It thought. Possible that all versions are on it everywhere but that still leaves two other reasons.
It also hasn't arrived today. :sweatdrop:

Funny how I got Farcry 2 from GB and it was faster then to get it from the States and no border crossing fees. I live in Canada and if something is not available in Canada and I had to choose either the States or GB I would choose GB any day of the week. Cause it is usually faster and cheaper.
Well, I suppose that gives me some hope. I pre-ordered the SF edition from Play.co.uk for the Constitution as well - I'm still waiting. I've since walked past quite a few SF boxes on display at stores and have been tempted...
What really tops it off is that I'd now prefer the Death's Heads. On the plus side, Amazon.co.uk mistakenly sent me the code for the Amazones so assuming it ever gets here, I'll have two units I'll rarely use!

You know I can't tell whether you're joking or not but I can't help but remember that much of the stuff the Colonials were pissed about was repealled but the news travelled by ship and came a while after they had already declared independence.:2thumbsup:
@Vantisocialmunky: I think he was just kidding ...
Back on topic: Fisher, finally you're able to play now. Great game :2thumbsup: ... now i am kidding. :clown:
I've ordered in Kobenhavn on Thursday morning in the week before release and got my nice little "Großbrief" on following Saturday morning.
Means roundabout 48 hours from Denmark via Hamburg to Stuttgart and finally to the dark, dark forest. Nice! :2thumbsup:
I like the german (and of course the danske one) postal service. Now, back to work ... :driver:

Today I came back home, checked my mail box and found...a leaflet with advertisement. :juggle2:
