Gotten the message “Are you sure you want to disband the unit and what it may be carrying?”

I figure if you promote someone in the unit it may lead to something, but I have been too broke, or too fat on officers to check it out.

Has anyone promoted any of them?

Not all units have this but some do.

It is tough to find though. You have to be scraping units when it comes up.

I've gotten that message several times, anytime I disband multiple units at once. It can be navies or armies, it doesn't matter. My promotions have been random; usually I get a generic 3-star but occasionally I'll get a better one.

Side note: voice of experience from a friend here, DO NOT select more than one unit when promoting a general/admiral. It'll give you a new leader from every unit selected, and you'll pay for them all too.
