I'v just started a new campaign as Sweden and I couldn't help notice their Cavalry is bigger then normal. And they have acces to the generic ' heavy cavalry ' faster then the other major powers.

This increased unit strength in cavalry makes quite the difference on the battlefield. Playing as UP/GB I often found my cavalry being depleted after a short amount of time. Cavalry being a one shot weapon to quote Bonaparte once more. But these swedes can keep on charging longer, which is great!

Also their starting position is quite good, not that being isolated a la GB is much of an issue in this Total War but still I kind of like being isolated. Prussia actually traded me east prussia for courland, giving me 3 ' capital ' regions very early without breaking a sweat. I feel partly guilty accepting though.

I find the numbers make up for the crappy stats, especially with rank firing, socket bayonet and new model bayonet drill.

Plus those pandours, the guerrillas with a longer firing range, can skirmish and take out 10-20 guys in a unit before retreating, giving your line infantry an even bigger advantage in numbers when it comes to the bayonet charge.
