I see that a lot of buildings in EB give morale boni to troops. However, i read in this (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=88859&highlight=edu+guide) that this function is bugged. Is this true? Do temples of war do nothing?

I don't know. It seems to be consensus amongst experienced modders and players that they are indeed bugged, but still I am not convinced, since my own experiences seem to suggest they do work.

The majority opinion is that the bonus doesn't work at all, some people have suggested it works only in the province or city the bonus is granted. It is likely that we will never know for sure...

If there was a way to get actual morale level readouts in battle like in the old medieval, we would know.

Doesn't the BI.EXE give these readouts? Or at least a crude form of it, I know in mine it shows a "Paniced by Flaming arrows" "Glad to have the General in the unit" etc.

RTW.exe has that as well.

I think he means specific numbers, not the current Confident-Steady-Wavering-Broken system.

That was implemented in RTW patch 1.2 or 1.3 iirc. And there is no visible morale figure whatsoever that I know of. Which is sad. The only difference would be with units that come with a morale bonus ("good morale"/"excellent morale") like the vanilla urban cohorts for example. Which suggests that there must be some sort of figure written in the background, since all those battlefield events and generals traits give modifiers on morale.
