How to playBasic Rules
(There is also the version with pictures!! On the useful links)

In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is the kill the Mafia.

At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while (in the basic game) everyone else will only know their own role.

The game has two phases. Usually the first is Night. During Night, the Town can not communicate, but the Mafia can discuss and choose someone to murder. After the Moderator has received the name of the victim, the Moderator reveals the dead player(s), and Day begins.

During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is/isn't revealed by the Moderator, and it is once again Night.

The game alternates between Night and Day until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else.

Basic Roles

The above suffices for a Vanilla game, but most games have roles other than just Mafia and Townie. These roles have additional abilities (which are usually used during the Night, though there are some Day abilities as well). The most common are listed here.

Cop - Each night, the Cop can investigate one player (by sending their name to the Moderator), and finds out whether that player is Mafia or not. The Cop is on the Town's side.

Doctor - Each night, the Doctor can choose one player to protect (by sending their name to the Moderator). If the Mafia (or anyone else) tries to kill that player, they will fail. The Doctor is on the Town's side.

Vigilante - Each night, the Vigilante may kill another player (this varies) (by sending their name to the Moderator). The Vigilante is on the Town's side.

Mason - The Masons are a group on the Town's side who know each other and can talk to each other at Night.

Serial Killer - The Serial Killer (often abbreviated as SK), like the Vigilante, may kill another player each Night (by sending their name to the Moderator). However, the Serial Killer is not on the Town's side or the Mafia's side. The Serial Killer wins when everyone else is dead.

Multiple Families - Sometimes there is more than one group of Mafia. These act independently of one another, and must kill the other group as well as the Town in order to win.

There are many variations on the above roles that will often appear in more complicated games.

Here's a flash introduction to Mafia (http://www.sitesled.com/members/mikeburnfire/mafiascum04.swf) and some wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werewolf_(game)) links (http://en.wiki.mafia.sebi.name/Main_Page) that describe the various permutations of the game.

Mafia Glossary

Here is GeneralHankerchief's

MAFIA GLOSSARY!

Abstain:Usually somone who isn't lurking in the thread, but doesn't have any clear suspects to vote for. Is not No Lynch.

Active Contributer: Someone who posts not only who they want executed, but why they think that person is guilty/innocent. Their efforts are heroic, but usually end up being killed.

Alive: This is what you want to be. If you’re alive you can still vote, and help your side (innocents or Mafia) win.

Bandwagoning: When you vote for someone purely because they have already received votes. Used by the mafia in Game II, but is now apt to get you executed.

Csar: Guilty.

Detective: One of the major roles in the game; the other being mafia member. Their job is to PM me with the name of a user they wish to investigate. I will tell them if that user is innocent or guilty. Eventually a Detective can reveal his results to everyone.

Disco Vote: When you vote for someone because they go to a rival school. Named after discovery1, who mercilessly went after Ice in Game I because he went to Michigan.

Execution: When a person is killed by way of having a majority of votes. A person who is executed may or may not be innocent.

Frontroom: The former setting of Mafia. Landmarks are added at a whim in order to provide a backdrop for the kills.

Game: One game of Mafia. Comparable to a TV season. For example, in Game I Kagemusha and Shadows killed off the entire Frontroom, earning a Mafia Victory.

Gameroom: The current setting of Mafia.

General Hankerchief: The original narrator/organizer of Mafia. Is the only one who completely knows what’s going on. In the game, he is God and thus, will occasionally hand out the Wrath of God event.

GH: General Hankerchief’s preferred abbreviation.

Ghost Detective: Someone who's dead but still helps out. General Hankerchief appreciates enthusiasm but might just kill Ghost Detectives again for good measure. Sometimes allowed be the game mod, sometimes not.

Guilty: See "Csar"

Ichigo: Guilty

Innocent: Someone who’s not a mafia member. Obviously, they are the targets of the mafia. e.g. someone other than Csar/Ichigo

Kagemusha's Curse: Kagemusha is so far the only mafioso to successfully eliminate all the villagers in a GeneralHankerchief. Ever since then, every time Kage has died, things start to go bad for the mafia. This has lead some people to believe that there's a curse of some sort that whenever Kage dies, things start to go wrong for the mafia.

Kill: When a villager is killed by a mafia member. People who are killed are innocent.

Kojiro: A person who claims to be either a mafioso or Detective, but is in reality just a plain old villager. Named after Sasaki Kojiro, who famously claimed to be the Detective in Game II.

Lurker: Someone who does not vote/doesn’t watch the thread. Lurkers will be dealt with by the Wrath of God.

Mafia: Name of the game.

Mafia member: One of the major roles in the game; the other being Detective. Their job is to PM me each session with the name of a user whom they wish to kill. If a mafia member successfully eliminates the entire Town, they earn a Mafia Victory.

Mafia Victory: Earned when a mafioso kills everyone in the Frontroom. Kagemusha did this in Game I.

Mafiosi: Plural of mafioso.

Mafioso: Shortened term of Mafia Member. Usually used in my postings of kills/execution.

Meatballing: Voting for someone for no reason. Coined by Silver Rusher when Lemur (a mafioso) voted for him in Game II on the basis that he saw SR “eating a spicy meat-a-ball.”

Murder-victims-for-justice-association (MVFJA): Started by Silver Rusher in Mafia IV, the other initial member was Tiberius. Commendably active in searching for the mafia and yet tragically, tragically off the mark in their chosen target (oh, the perks of writing the glossary)

OMGUS: Stands for "Oh My God U Suck", refers to voting someone for the sole reason that they voted you, generally seen as scummy and discouraged.

Pulling a Spartan: Claiming to be a mafioso in a misguided attempt to confuse the mafia which actually ends up confusing the villagers instead.

Reveal: The Detective does this when he thinks he has enough information to provide a Townspeople victory. Or, alternatively, he’s a suspect and wants to save himself. Reveals generally consist of who’s guilty/innocent, along with some kind of proof. For an example of a good reveal, check Tiberius’ in Game II.

Scum: Mafia/Serial Killers etc. Anti-town.

Session: A cycle of events. A “day” in Frontroom time; it’s usually two or three in real time. A session begins and ends with me posting the updated status list.

Status list: Posted with every execution. It consists of who’s alive, who’s been killed, who’s been executed, and, when applicable, who’s dead for some other reason (usually a suicide or the Wrath of God).

Suicide: When, for whatever reason, someone doesn’t want to play anymore. They are removed from the alive list. I do not accept suicides when that person is receiving a lot of votes.

Survivor: What alive innocents become when the mafia is no more. There were a few survivors in Game II; none in Game I.

Total Mafia Victory: This occurs when the Mafia succeed in wiping out the entire Frontroom, with both mafia members remaining alive. It is a total embarrassment for the innocents and the mafia get to do something special in the final scene. This has not yet occurred. (Total Mafia Victory has now been achieved a couple times. Most recent example being Chicago Soiree by Sigurd and boudica)

Townspeople Victory: This occurs when the Innocents are successful in ridding the Frontroom of the mafia. Chances of a Townspeople Victory are significantly increased when a Detective is lucky. This occurred in Game II.

Vote Indexing: Method invented by Kommodus in Mafia II to find the mafia. Involved a spreadsheet keeping track of how often a certain person had voted for an innocent. Rendered largely null and void in following games since the Mafia are not so foolish as to be caught by it (Kommodus himself was a mafioso in Mafia III and deliberatly fooled it).

UltraWar: Being killed and/or lynched in the first round repeatedly over various games

WIFOM: Stands for "wine in front of me" a reference to the scene from "The Princess Bride". Describes a situation where you go in an endless loop without reaching a conclusion, e.g. "He voted for himself and mafia care about living so he can't be mafia but he knew we would think that so it's a clever ploy so he is mafia but he knew we knew he knew..."

Wrath of God: (also known as Wrath of GH) What Lurkers suffer. They are no longer alive after the Wrath of God hits. The first Wrath of God famously took place in Game III but there will most likely be more. Many died from "Wrath of Silver Rusher" in the Godfather.

Write-up: General Hankerchief’s commentary on the game, posted at the end of the game. It contains his thoughts, reactions, and insightful tips that should be taken advantage of. Also, it reveals some really dumb PMs that the mafia might have sent me. Other mods post this as well, and often players with significant roles.

Past games synopsis

Sometimes a person new to the Mafia games can get a little intimidated when they hear all the vets talking about "when something like this happened in Game X." This thread was designed to make things a little easier for these people to understand what the vets are talking about.

*Failed game (game which didn't start) will be marked Green and Dead game (games which didn't finish) will be marked red.

*For the ease of reference, players who changed their name will be marked as the most recent user name. Our resident name changer Shinseikhaan will be simply labled Khaan. Where as other players such as Kukrikhaan will be labled as Kukrikhaan

*the number on the left of the title shows the number of players who played in the game and the number on the right shows the final post count of the thread (not including the summery thread)

* if there is ** beside it, it means I need help on this part.
.................................................................................................... ...........................................

Large games (those that were part of the official queue or pre-queue with over 10 players): (New definition. Game with over 16 players)

Large games 2006

(26) Mafia I (353)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=65526) GeneralHankerchief's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1184270&postcount=334)
Organized by: GeneralHankerchief.
Mafia: Shadows and Kagemusha.
Notable happenings: This was the first Org Mafia game, which meant that experience was lacking, making it easy for the mafia. Despite this, a double execution and GH letting the dead vote in the final round nailed Shadows. Kagemusha, however, became the first and so far only mafioso to survive one of GeneralHankerchief's mafia games. (Crazed Rabbit was the second surviving mafia in GHs mafia series in Mafia VII breaking this curse)

Result: Mafia victory

(32) Mafia II (567)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=66579) GeneralHankerchief's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1202035&postcount=494)
Organized by: GeneralHankerchief.
Mafia: Lemur and Cowhead418.
Detective: Tiberius.
Notable happenings: This was the first game with a Detective, and Sasaki Kojiro wasted no time in claiming to be Detective in order to give the real Detective carte blanche. Eventually Tiberius revealed Lemur to be a mafioso, who proceeds to give a vigorous (and funny) defense of himself. However, it wasn't enough, and Cowhead committed suicide afterwards.

Result: Townspeople victory

(39)Mafia III (770)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=67773) Kommodus' commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1234471&postcount=727) GH's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1234760&postcount=745)
Organized by: GeneralHankerchief.
Mafia: Kommodus and Gertgregoor (now Moros).
Detective: Crazed Rabbit.
Notable happenings: The Spartan (now God's Grace) claimed to be mafia in a weird move. Due to that plus the first appearance of Wrath of God event, killing off inactive players, the mafia were in a very good position. However, a massive collapse by Kommo and Gert in the final two rounds took them from almost certain victory to a crushing defeat.

Result: Townspeople victory

(23) Gotta Have More Mafia (373)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=68593) Sasaki Kojiro's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1256901&postcount=356) Sigurd Fafnesbane's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1258080&postcount=373)
Organized by Sasaki Kojiro.
Italian Mafia: doc_bean (Godfather), Ice, and Silver Rusher.
Chinese Mafia: Sigurd Fafnesbane (Godfather), Wonderland, and Orb.
Serial Killer: Crazed Rabbit
Thief: Reenk Roink
Other roles were present.
Notable happenings: Everyone had a special role, resulting in a lot of suspicion and confusion. This was a three-way battle - town vs. Italian mafia vs. Chinese mafia. Eventually Sigurd Fafnesbane, Chinese Godfather, fooled everyone with a brilliant claim when the heat was on and lead his crew to victory.

Result: Chinese Mafia victory

(33)The Godfather, Part 1 (412)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=68645) GH's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1254288&postcount=386) Sasaki's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1254413&postcount=388) Silver Rusher's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1255111&postcount=396)
Organized by Silver Rusher.
Mafia: Sasaki Kojiro (mastermind), GeneralHankerchief (Godfather), GoreBag, and Cowhead418 (grunts).
Detective: Ignoramus
Notable happenings: The Godfather got to select his own mafia. GeneralHankerchief, in an elaborate alibi, instructed the mafia to kill only one person per round after the execution of a person he went after. In a twist, Sasaki Kojiro was revealed to be mafia mastermind, whose job was to select Godfather and Detective and make sure the mafia didn't screw up. Those factors ended up in the most crushing mafia victory to date, and the four mafiosi got a HOF award for their work.

Result: Total Mafia victory

(32) Mafia IV (530)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=69865)
Organized by GeneralHankerchief.
Mafia: discovery1 and Masy.
Detective: Reenk Roink
Notable happenings: Lots of discussion, a suspiciously powerful formula devised by Kommodus (codenamed Lestrade (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=78384)), and a little luck got two mafiosi killed off in three rounds, ending the streak of mafia victories.

Result: Townspeople victory

(31) Cosa Nuova (598)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=70301) Kommodus' commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1283024&postcount=591)
Organized by Kommodus.
Mafia: Sasaki Kojiro, Destroyer of Hope, and Xiahou.
Detectives: Kagemusha and Seamus Fermanagh.
Doctors: Silver Rusher and Big King Sanctaphrax.
Notable happenings: This story-heavy Mafia game began with Kage and Sasaki each claiming to be Detective and the other one as Mafia. The villagers executed both just to be sure. Eventually things went the town's way (Silver's save of Peasant Phill, Seamus' perfectly-timed reveal) and suspicion fell on the other two mafiosi, who were unable to defend themselves.

Result: Townspeople victory

Large games 2007
(28) The Godfather, Part 2 (1060)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=70748) GH's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1302389&postcount=1021) (Silver Rusher's commentary is still pending)
Organized by Silver Rusher.
Mafia: Csar (now Ichigo) (Godfather), GeneralHankerchief, and Myrddraal (grunts).
Detectives: theRTWGuru (now Death Match) and Dutch_guy.
Notable happenings: The longest, dirtiest, and greatest Mafia game until Capo di Tutti Capi. The twist this time was that there were two Detectives, but they were eliminated shortly. The mafia went all-out in this game, faking multiple twists and PMs, throwing suspicion everywhere, and using reverse psychology in order to survive. At the critical moment, however, there was not enough communication between them, resulting in a decisive shift of momentum.

Result: Townspeople Victory

(24) The Black Hand 2 (250)
The Thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=71148)
Organized by Sasaki Kojiro.
Mafia: Sigurd Fafnesbane (Godfather), AggonyDuck, and Evil_Maniac from Mars.
Serial Killer: Divine Wind.
Masonic Detective: GeneralHankerchief.
Notable happenings: In a game dominated by odd kills (Tinky Winky and the notorious cucumber killer :dizzy2:), Sigurd kept his amazing streak of victories in Sasaki's games going, even though the Serial Killer and Vigilante (Reenk Roink) eliminated his two flunkys early on. He clinched a victory by persuading the Masonic Detective (GH) to change his vote in the final round (this is all your fault, Silver ).

Result: Mafia victory

(15) The Age of Darkness (176)
The Thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=71603)
Organized by Ignoramus.

Medieval-themed game that sadly could not finish due to villagers shirking on their PM duties.

(32) Mafia V: (936)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=72400)Hosts Commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1349808&postcount=928)Reenks Commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1346201&postcount=873)Seamus' diary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1346283&postcount=881)
Organized by GeneralHankerchief.
Mafia: Reenk Roink and Seamus Fermanagh.
Detective: Banquo's Ghost.
Notable happenings: After Banquo got executed early, everything looked good for the mafia until a combination of Sasaki's intuition and Kommodus' formula nailed first Reenk, then Seamus. Reenk put on a good show about being the Detective and was believed, but he didn't defend his buddy enough in the end.

Result: Townspeople victory

(24) The Rise of the Mob (511)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=72918)
Organized by Csar (Ichigo)
Mafia: Proletariat and Reenk Roink.
Detective: Kagemusha. Doctor: Peasant Phill.
Notable happenings: Kage investigated Prole in Round 1. She was quickly lynched. Reenk succeeded for a while in royally confusing the villagers, but eventually he told Kage he was the doctor when he already knew it was Phill. Oops.

Result: Townspeople victory

(20) Interficio quod Scrupulosa (358)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=74938)
Organized by Sir Moody.
Mafia/Rebels: AggonyDuck and Don Corleone.
Detective/Praetor: doc_bean.
Notable happenings: An interesting Roman-themed game that had the misfortune of being held right around Christmas so activity was light. Two things sunk the mafia: doc_bean's well-timed reveal, and Don's failure to get his kill of doc in on time.

Result: Senate/Townspeople victory

(27) Grafitti Mafia (773)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=76665)
Organized by Sasaki Kojiro.
Mafia: discovery1 (Godfather), Xiahou, GeneralHankerchief, and Kommodus.
Soothsayer: Ituralde.
Notable happenings: There were also Masons in this game, along with other more minor roles. The mafia got in trouble early when GH was caught red-handed talking to Disco in the chat, but they made the best of the situation by having Xiahou posting the evidence for all to see.

Result: Mafia victory

(56) Capo de Tutti Capi (2671)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=77078) Information summary thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=77665) Seamus' commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1420494&postcount=2653)
Organized by Seamus Fermanagh.
Here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1419051&postcount=2584) is the complete list of roles.
Notable happenings: The mother of all mafia games. Capo had almost 60 players, and there were three mafia families, all of which could recruit more players. The game started out pretty good for the town, lynching two Dons (godfathers) and killing many other high-rank mafioso early on. After a brief lull where it looked like the Barzini family might take over, the two remaining families targeted each other in a vicious bloodbath, each knocking the other out leaving the town with a majority of players. Several rules disputes lead to the creation of the Gameroom Code of Ethics, but other than that is was a great game.
Result: Townspeople victory

(33)The Midgard Saga (1605)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=78686) Sigurd's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1474646&postcount=1596)
Organized by Sigurd Fafnesbane.
Jotun (Mafia): Stig, Warluster, Alexander the Pretty Good
Gods: Husar (Odin), Seamus Fermanagh (Heimdall), Proletariat (Idun), Reenk Roink (Loki - Jotun-aligned)
Notable happenings: This was a Norse mythology-themed game, with the evil Jotun (giants) taking the place of the usual mafia. The most interesting part was the addition of Holmgang, or a system where two players could duel each other. There were over 1,600 posts but the Jotun still won big, most likely due to the Jotun's flying under the radar and Reenk's sheer volume of confusion he created. At least he got beaten by Seamus in Holmgang.
Result: Jotun victory

(35)Mafia VI: the night of the day of the dawn of the return of the mafia(1034)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=79114) Dutch_guy's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1456516&postcount=1006) GH's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1462701&postcount=1017)
Organized by GeneralHankerchief.
Mafia: Dutch_guy and Andres the Cunning
Detective: Orb
Notable happenings: Well, Kage's Curse didn't take effect as he survived, but it didn't help the mafia. Dutch and Andres knocked off Orb in the second round, had the fortune of Sasaki being totally off in his accusations (when he was present), and had a really good story going involving Kommodus's noted tool Holmes, but they were still lynched in successive rounds, and had either of them survived one more then they would have won.
Result: Townspeople victory

(37) Kung Fu Mafia (1520)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=84190)
Organized by Sasaki Kojiro
Mafia: Faust, Khaan, Orb, Warmaster Horus

Result:Mafia Victory

(20)Blood(470)
The Thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=80013)
Organized by Ultrawar

(19)The revenge of Csar- Sasaki(279)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=80843)
Organized by Ignoramus
Mafia: Sapi, Sasaki (Seperate teams)
Detective: Warmaster Horus

(21)I'm back, and I'm looking for someone to kill (445)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=81767) Mafia Commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1487800&postcount=400)
Organized by Ichigo.
Mafia: Sasaki Kojiro (Godfather), CountArach, and rdeče.jabolko (grunts)
Detective: AndresTheCunning
Bus Driver: GeneralHankerchief
Notable happenings: None. Well, not really. GH threw the mafia for a loop by having them kill Kommodus when they were supposed to kill Caius Flaminius. Other than that, though, that was it. A lack of activity made this one a cynch for the mafia to win, and the townies are still weeping from the loss. On the plus side, because of this a campaign started to raise the activity in future games.

Result: Total Mafia victory

(20) 1942 (92)
Organized by Warluster
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=82996)

(32) Cosa Nuova II: The cult of the Cosa Nuova (1551)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=82041) Khaan's commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1534527&postcount=1545) The hosts commentary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1533179&postcount=1526)
Organized by Kommodus
Cosa Nuova (Mafia): HughTower, Seamus Fermanagah, Khaan
Agent Bayingana: Killfr3nzy
The Watchmen: BlackAxe3001, Sapi
The Vigilante: Warmaster Horus

*This is the original set up. After a leak, few additional role was handed out as Agent Bayingana role was removed.

Result: Cosa Nuova victory

(21) Citadel of Alamut (265)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=84907)
Organized by Orb

(22) Incredibly Evil Plot of the Evil Beer Salesman (502)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=87736)
Organized by Stig
Mafia: Ichigo, Shlin, Sasaki
Detective: Khaan
Doctar: Seamus
Vigilante: Andres, Proletariat

Notable happenings: A fun game which built off Kommodus's idea of conversions, this time by getting the target to drink the evil beverage of Heineken. Both sides were well-organized, but each made one critical mistake: The good guys forgot to double-check Sasaki, and Sasaki forgot to send in a crucial PM on time. As a result, a bloody final round left the converted villain GeneralHankerchief as the only player standing. Since the mafia's victory conditions were to have at least one original Heineken drinker survive, neither side technically won, leaving GH to walk off in the sunset.

Result: Draw

(28) Militia of Montana (429)
The Thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=87167)
Organized by Motep
Don: pevergreen
The God: Crazed Rabbit

Notable happenings: A well-organized Militia (the power town) easily crushed the disorganized Mafia.

Result: Militia/Town victory

(22) Fantasy Mafia (824)
For the list of role pms (http://pevergreen.com/files/mafia.rar) Write ups (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpo...&postcount=796)
Organized by pevergreen

Notable Happenings:
A setup that had mulled around in pevergreen’s head for quite some time, the game consisted of a Lord (twilightblade) 3 spies (the stranger, Warmaster Horus,) and various neutral and town aligned roles. The group of 4 “heroes” that had to combine and then wipe out the town was a new and mostly unbalanced idea.

Each person had a minor and major victory condition, most minor ones were just the alignment victories (spies minor was kill the Lord) whereas townies just had to keep the Lord alive until all threats were gone.

GH came in as a delayed Serial Killer (the werewolf, the focus of the sequel)

The main focus of the game seemed to be around The Stranger, after some questionable antics in the previous game, he was under a lot of fire for a long time, which was somewhat alleviated when Xdeathfire sent a PM to everyone asking if they were the other heroes

“I am one of four wma, kn, mar, as. Reply if you know what I mean”

Andres was not distracted, when the next night, two of the heroes died, and he continued to place pressure on TS with his dirty lawyer tricks.
Perhaps one of the best night phases in terms of events was Night 4. A player targeted an already dead player that had been killed during the day and all other parties that could kill targeted the same person.
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpo...&postcount=788

Result: Game won by Roadkill. Andres was most valuable player, killing two out of the three spies

(19) The Brotherhood (249)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=89630)
Organized by Omanes Alexandrapolites
Thieves (mafia): Sasaki, General Hankerchief, Ichigo

Notable happenings: This game began a stretch of bad/lazy townie play, and it showed. The powerful combination of Mafiosi in this one took the game without breaking a sweat.

Result: Mafia Victory

**(18) Il Padrino (655)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=89348)
Organized by Caius
Mafia: Killfr3nzy & GeneralHankerchief

Notable happenings: This game was one of the first that utilized a complicated map system. Killfr3nzy took advantage of this by going out at night and killing while still recording his TV programs to use as an alibi (in the feedback PMs, if you stayed home, you watched a specific program that night). This deception was enough to give him the game.

Notable happenings: In the largest game of the classic Mafia series through Mafia VIII, it seemed as if the walls were closing in on the mafiosi, as per usual. About 2/3 through the game, woad had just fallen and CR looked to go next. However, his brilliant manipulation of The Truth earned him an easy victory, although at the cost of his reputation (as of 2009, it looks to be almost restored). There is some debate as to whether or not this game broke Kagemusha's Curse, for while CR did win, he didn't kill Kage until the final round.

Notable happenings: Too much to detail here. There were dozens of individual, separate stories of intrigue, each more compelling than the last. It all added up to a spectacular game, which many still call the best of all time.

Result: Pentangeli/Mafia victory. Scottishranger elevated to rank of Capo di Tutti Capi after starting out as townie. .Org thoroughly humiliated by a TWCer coming in as a townie and spanking them all.

Role Blocker: Northnovas
Detective: Seamus Fermanagh, Factionheir
Doctar: Elite Ferret, BannanaBob
Vigilante: Scottish Ranger

Notable happenings: Based largely on the mythology of the Greek Underworld, with representatives of other religions also present, Netherworld posed an interesting and unique setting. Most notably, Netherworld was the first Org game to include roles that could bring dead players back to life. This ability played a crucial role, as the serial killer (Hades) infiltrated a pro-town network and used it to help eliminate the mafia. In the process, he resurrected two dead townies to create his own mafia family, and then turned on the remnants of the town after the mafia were eliminated. Hades was himself resurrected by the town at the very end, resulting in a total of 4 resurrections throughout the game.

Mafia: Gaius Scribonius Curio, Khaan

Notable happenings: The Detective role was removed for the first time since Mafia I. GH inserted an elaborate series of clues in his write-ups to point to this fact, but it was not guessed. In a hallmark of the Mafia series, this one went down to the wire. A just-lynched Curio sent in some questionable final kills, substituting for the still-alive khaan in the final round. khaan, who had been on vacation, returned three minutes too late to change them, and Kage's heroic defense of himself proved for a remarkable turnaround.

Aesir (pro-town power roles): CountArach, Gaius Scribonius Curio, glyphz
Christians (pro-town roles w/ puzzle clues): Crazed Rabbit, Eliit Tuhkur, Warmaster Horus

Notable happenings: The sequel to the Midgard Saga kept the same Norse flavors as the original (Jotun vs. Aesir and Holmgang duels) with a few extra twists. First, the Jotun were all given 'cover' townie role PMs from the very start. Second, there were a group of Christian players who all held clues to a puzzle which would have eventually identified the mafia if it had been deciphered. A 'townie network' formed early and was easily infiltrated by the mafia due to the 'cover' townie role PMs which they had been provided with. Using the information gained by this network and a fake Aesir role PM, the mafia won after sacrificing Sarathos to the lynch towards the end of the game. Parts of the Christian puzzle were deciphered, but it was never completely figured out.

Result: Jotun (mafia) Victory

Notable Happenings: Fenring (now known as Karalizec) got the first place as the actor role who wins by getting him self lynched. All the serial killer had a bad day as none of them were able to go pass the mid game, allowing the group of stone cutters made up from Chaotix, Glyphz, QJC, Sarathos and Sigurd getting the second place for achieving their victory condition, to eliminate the town after destroying all the serial killers.

Mafia: Reenk Roink. Kukrikhaan, Askthepizzaguy, Khaan

Notable Happenings: The dynamic of conversion confused both the town and the Mafia in the early goings. Askthepizzaguy was flagged and lynched early on and KukriKhan was WoG'd shortly after but the original agent khaan came up with the brilliant idea with revealing himself through a fake detective reveal and his sacrifice allowed Reenk to finish it off.

Detective: Reenk Roink
Doctar: Andres & Askthepizzaguy
Interviewer: TevashSzat

Notable Happenings: Bit like Simpsons full monty, this game had several different families represented by a lamb mafia with two men and three other family represented by three serial killers. Using the letter rule which was introduced in this game, detective Reenk Roink successfully notified the town of his presence using the alias "The Watcher." With Reenk Roinks work with the mafias brutally killing each other, Towns eventually got their victory regardless of the fact that they only lynched one out of four mafias.

Notable happenings: A very compelling, well-done game from early 2009 that got overshadowed by the later colossal games of that year. The town played well, lynching four out of the five villain roles. However, too much focus on the writeups and general exhaustion got the best of them in the end as glyphz coasted in the anticlimactic final round.

God Father and his grunts: Beefy187. White_eyes:D, TevashSzat
Detective: Khaan
Vigilante: 777Ares777

Notable Happenings: Despite the incredible activity in this game, the town remained very confused and bickered a lot until the end, due partly to the Mafia who obfuscated the situation with their write ups and refraining from killing. Tevash went down midway, but by that time khaan was already killed and Ares killed an innocent Sasaki leaving Beefy and White eyes coasting until the very end when the town opinion converged on them. This game shattered the Large Game post count record, mainly thanks to ATPG, and brought with it a torrent of activity that would last for several months.

Some one crazy decided that reviving White_eyes sounds like a great plan, not knowing that White_eyes was to be lynched once again. This time, other then claiming his victory for getting lynched, Joker also took out all the remaining players, causing debates on whether to lynch the joker/jester roles for their over poweredness.

Heroes (Mafia): Shlin (Kirby), Gobbledygook (Luigi)
Masons of Villains: Khazaar (Dr Eggman), Askthepizzaguy (Bowsor), Warmen/ Sasaki Kojiro (Ganondolf)
Vigilante/ later super villain: Khaan (Sephiroth. Ability to night kill. Later had the choice to turn into serial killer)
Serial Killer: A Very Super Market (Dimentio), Little Grizzly (Kefka)

Notable Happenings: The game was based on the villains from various TV/computer games. Heroes were the bad guys in the game. Town had a good start as ATPG survived both lynch attempt and a murder attempt by Khaan. Khazaar who had the ability to investigate, found Beefy (Black knight) who could protect on night one. Since then, Khazaar was almost completely safe. Khaan was later recruited in the townie network which ATPG organised and Khaan managed to take out the guild of Anti heroes (becomes mafia after the mafia were gone). In the end game, there were only the most trusted members left on the council. Both Beefy and Yaropolk (Meta Ridley. Replaced boudica) was revived so they aroused some suspecions. However after investigating all the members left except Beefy who was to be blocked, the council decided that Khaan was to dangerous to keep around. Successfully taking out the last killer.

(40) Large Simpsons Mafia: The tree house of Terror (1200)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=115442)
Organized by Askthepizzaguy
Capo de Tutti Capi (Chose the black hand): Glenn
Original Blackhand (Chosen by the Capo): Captain Blackadder
God Fathers: TheFlax (Shelbyville Republican Party), boudica (Capital city Democratic party) Beefy187 (Yakuza), Khazaar (D'Amico Crime Family)
SideshowBob: Warmen (Replaced by Beaver)
Detective: Olavi (Lisa Simpson)
Cecil Terwillinger: ATPG (Wins if no one is left standing)

Notable happenings: This experimental game was expected to be slightly unbalanced to townies favor. As mafias were expected to kill each other and their henchmen will die if their Godfather dies. However with the Blackhand organising the gang and GodFathers ability to replace his dead henchmen once, the gang quickly gained the upperhand. It looked good for the mafia until D'Amico family led by Khazaar (Fat Tony) murdered the original blackhand, allowing his henchmen Fixiwee to retire stinking rich. Khazaar being elected as the new blackhand, reorganised his gang, getting rid of townies including the detective. When mafia seemed like they were about to win with low discussions, YLC made a shocking reveal, betraying Khazaar, resulting his lynch. YLC was the second victor of the game, retiring stinking rich. Beaver, who replaced Warmen as SideshowBob, managed to kill both Greyblades, the new Blackhand and Beefy the God Father in one go. This once again revived the town as now they only had to deal with and Serial Killer and a Capo. Unfortunately, after two failed lynches, it ended up in a strange three way situations, leaving Capo, Serial Killer and one townie. When the last day phase was over, Beaver the SideshowBob was the only one standing, making him the third and the final victor of this game. The towns and the defeated mafias :wall:ed as they witnessed yet another lurkers victory.

Game won by Fixiwee (Marge Simpson), YLC (Krusty the Clown) and Beaver (SideshowBob)

Shinobi(Detective): Banquo's Ghost
Geishas(Blockers): Gregoshi, Lord Winter
Traitors: Shlin28, Olavi
Ninja: Yaropolk (GF), Ichigo, Quintus_JC, DutchGuy

Notable Happennings:
Count Arach posed as the public face of Takeda Shingen, with the real Shingen pulling the strings behind the scene. Bodyguards needed to be killed before Takeda. This game used a duel system which allowed players to publicly challenge each other and fight out one duel a day with results based on pre assigned battle rankings. CountArach tried to organize the duels to flush out the ninjas by having everyone PM him their duel rankings, however people kept challenging each other and in the end it only ended up killing the town faster.

On day 7 the Banquo's ghost role claimed detective to lynch one of the ninjas, but also posted a list of confirmed innocents which included the three bodyguards. Shortly after he edited the list to remove the bodyguard names. Mafia noticed this and On nights 7 and 8 ninjas killed the detective, the bodyguards and both Takeda brothers. As his last act, Takeda (Sasaki) used his special power to kill the ninja master (Yaropolk). This left 2 ninjas as the only alive power roles and lead to a ninja victory.

Townie barely lynched any mafiaso, but rather it was done by mafia killing each other. The Chicken mafia God Father seemed to have a good start as the God Father Generalhankerchief was also chosen as the goon of Lamb Mafia. However, after chicken goon LittleGrizzly revealed him self to be working with both Pork mafia and Chicken mafia, he was wacked by two seperate mafia. Letter rule has proven it self to be successful as players used it to bluff investigation results, successfully lynching one member of pork mafia. In the final round, three team, beef mafia, pork mafia and the towns had the chance of victory. However, as pork God Father Atheotes failed to kill the Beef god father nor the goon, Beef mafia snatched their victory.

(14) The good the bad & the Ugly (235)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=103473)
Organized by Myrddraal

Good: ‘Khaan
Bad: Sarathos
Ugly: shlin28
Rival Captains: W&F and pever
Sheriff: Glenn
Bounty Hunters: Caius and Ichigo
Doctor: Andres
Cowardly Store Owner: Mithrandir

Notable Happenings
On the first night, both the Bad and the Ugly targeted the Cowardly Store Owner, thus allowing them to control whatever he did. Unfortunately, Sarathos did not know he controlled Mithrandir, and allowed the Ugly (serial killer) to essentially control two votes in the entire game.

Later, the doctor made contact with the Ugly and created a strategy to win the game- by creating a list of those the Ugly could kill The Ugly and the Bad killed their way through the town/other roles, until it came to endgame. The Ugly convinced the two rival captains to vote with him in return fro the Ugly to kill the other rival captain, and combined with the Cowardly Store Owner’s vote, was enough to bandwagon any of the people still alive – hence the dramatic lynch of Sarathos, the Bad. (This lynch was a fluke as there were several other people remaining on the List that the Ugly could have chosen to kill)

After a tension-filled finale, the town/Ugly won the game!

The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=105548)
Organized by Beefy187
Mafia: Woad & Fangs
Notable Happenings: Relative low activity from the town during the early and mid game certainly didn’t help much and the mafia went further in quite easily. However some fierce debates were triggered in the final round, with the four living players each hurling accusations at each other. Woad&Fangs did very well to get an extension but eventually the experience of Andres and the resilience of Sarathos did him in. Game is notable for Beefy’s hilarious final write-up.

Organized by Karalizec
Anarchist: Quintus J. Cicero
Opportunis/ Aspiring Dictator: Proletariat, El Diablo, Sarathos
Notable happenings: The aspiring dictators played very little part in the course of the game, with the town having even less idea about the identity of the mafia. Pever figured it out in the final round, but he was dead and his effort was wasted, further inactivity from the final townies meant that the mafia was able to secure an easy victory.

(12) Mini Simpsons Mafia (240)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=106845)
Organized by Askthepizzaguy
SK: Craterus, Fenring
Notable happenings: The first of the Simpsons franchise, ATPG did very well bring America’s favourite family to the big screens. Role playing and lots of Simpsons reference was used in the game, plus lots of early enthusiasm. On the first day EliteFerret staggeringly blindly/intuitively guessed that Burns and Smithers were the mafia, although this came to no avail as everyone dismissed it as any other guess on Day 1. The Day 1 lynchee was the unfortunate Beefy (Hans Moleman), who had the ability of lynch immunity; the majority of the town however didn’t believe him and lynched him a second time just to make sure, which wasted the town 2 votes. Mafia Ferning (Burns) faced some early pressure, but faked his own assassination, his daring attempt paid off when the heat gradually begin to cool off. The game gradually descended into confusion as every character alive had either an alibi, evidence or ability that puts them in the clear. Eventually the fate of the town rested in the heavenly hands of religious vigilante Quintus. JC (Flanders), who despite killing Burns in the final round, the town lost to the resurgent turn-coat Craterus (Smithers) who turned mafia after the death of its master, Monty Burns. Very memorable game for all who played.

Result: Serial Killer Victory

(129 The Proscription (166)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=106272)
Organized by Warmaster Horus
Mafia: Quintus J. Cicero, Elite Ferret
Detective: Anelious Phyros
Notable happenings: Set in the era of the late Roman Republic, the town effort was cut short when AP (detective) was lynched on Day 1. FactionHeir later built up a nice case by using the logon times of each player to dramatically narrow down the suspects, but this was rebuffed by the fact that there were two mafias in the game. Town was furthered puzzled by the odd choices the mafia were making, the mafia were eliminating inactive players who posed no threat. Eventually the town came on the verge of winning after collectively discovering the power of the host’s PM, mafia Quintus was lynched unanimously after failing the PM test. However due to unfortunate events EF was able to snatch victory for mafia against the brilliant leadership of FH on the last day.

Spy: Warmaster Horus
Notable happenings: Experimental game hosted by the great selfless townie Shlin. There were plenty of fun and confusion, with some underground alliances and pacts between players. The game became a murderless mafia victory, with the town lynching a innocent player and then the captain elect, which was required to remain alive in order for town to win.

The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=107164)
Organized by Chaotix27
Mafia: Warmaster Horus, El Diablo, Tiberius of the Drake
Notable happening: An all time classic small game, notable for its thriving activities with almost 500 posts for a small game, which was unpreceded for a small game before. This game featured Chaotix as a first time host and ATPG and Aries as first time players. The game immediately took pace as QJC’s very controversial reveal of his role and ability, which triggered a huge debate in the place, while at first the town decided to unanimously lynch him, with stubborn defence he miraculously held on past Day 1 with town divided for and against him, but was cleared after detective investigation. After the early dramas on Day 1 APTG took over the investigation and started his attempted purges of the mafia, without getting any result in life ATPG was able to reach the right conclusion in death but was unable to turn the fortune of the town. Brilliant play from fellow mafia WH and El Diablo secured a very exciting last day victory for them, so ends one of the great small games of its time.

Mafia: 777Ares777 (The Vacuum Cleaner)
Notable happenings: It was the first mafia game, where every player roled played a furniture instead of living beings. (10) The Noblesons & Two Filths (724)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=108714)
Organized by Beefy187
Filth: White_eyes
Notable Happenings: First planned as experimental mafia, where towns will work towards getting rid of the non noble sons to start with and when they are all gone, it will turn to free for all. However complex game setup and lack of participants turned this game into low activity and massively confusing game. Host him self couldn't remember all the rule, accidently not "Jailing" White_eyes when he was "Witnessed" killing. When White_eyes was exiled and YLC (who was exiled before White_eyes) jokingly posted a battle between him and army of Beefdom, host went into rage mode and turned the game into role play based game. Ironically, game which was starting to fail miserably turned into one of the most populer small game hosted on Org (only ten post behind the most populer Teddy Snatcher) as survivors had a great time role playing a epic battle between Beefdom and the outsiders. Eventually, two heirs fighting for the throne. Factionheir had the initial advantage as he successfully terminated White_eyes who killed El Diablo however Yoyoma who went outside to gather reinforcements saw this as a opportunity to claim his throne. With YLC returning from his temporary inactivity, storming the palace of Beefdom by force, the game ended with both Factionheir and YLC terminated by Yoyoma, just because he sent in hilarious orders. While this was a terrible game for those who died early on, it was populer for the survivors that they cheered Beefy on to host a sequel "Noble Sons II"

Result: Game won by Yoyoma1910

Mafia: Rythmic
Neutral: Khaan
Potential Serial Killer: Quintus J Cicero

Notable happenings: Aries’ all time high scoring small mafia, notable for its thriving activities and seemingly combination of the Mini Simpsons and Lunar Whale – everybody had a role. There were huge amount of confusion early on; anybody was talking about everybody else. However one man worked effortlessly to unite the town against the teddy snatcher – ATPG, who took charge of leading the confused town. Noted for the formation of the circle of trust by ATPG, which worked to initially rattle anti-towners, but ultimately flawed as both Rythmic (Elmer) and Quintus (Ernie) was able to successfully infiltrate it with cover and forged PMs. Town met early success by lynching Khann (neutral aligned mafia), however the other two seemed safely away from town attention. Midway through the game a mutual pact was formed between the SK (Quintus) and mafia (Rythmic) which soon ended abruptly with the lynching of Quintus. The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=110184)
Organized by Askthepizzaguy
Traitor: Everyone
FBI agent: Askthepizzaguy (the host)

Notable Happenings: I opened up the pm in the inbox, excited. As I saw the word "you are traitor" on the role pm, I was dancing in joy. Not knowing what will happen later in the thread...
The players role played bunch of robbers, who just now aquired vast amount of gold that they can live their lifetime without working. However, while they were on their way to Africa, they realized there was traitor on the ship along with an FBI agent. Various events did help the town to think that there were more then one traitors but it was not until late game when Yoyoma tried to convince the town that no further lynching should be done, most town did not realise that they were played by the host the whole time. On the last night, when both traitors had 100 percent success rate of kill, the only remaining towns...Or the traitors GeneralHankerchief and TevashSzat both sent in the orders to kill each other. When all the crew were dad ATPG revealed that he was the FBI agent, returning the gold back to the rightful owners. It was an embrassment for the towns and embrassment as a human being to be so greedy.

Result: The game won by the host

Mafia: Andres, boudica, (Beefy187, ATPG started as Neutral and joined mafia)
Neutral: Reenk Roink
Vigilante: YLC

Notable happenings: Good old West show, featuring a vast array of mafia and neutral characters at the start. With five out of thirteen characters to be anti-town, it looked like town was in big trouble. However due to the effort of the town super vigilante YLC who correctly murdered several prominent mafia members, who balance of power was gradually restored in seemingly town’s favour. With the action reaching the last day YLC was lynched due to good mafia play and a lack of coordinated town effort, ending in a mafia victory.

Demons (Mafia): glyphz, Reenk Roink
Little Boy: Quintus.JC
Big Sister/Avatar of Malice (Serial Killer): Sigurd

Notable happenings: A well written, story driven small game with the dynamic that dead players would become ghosts and gain collective powers, the game saw glyphz and Reenk coast through most of the game undetected despite being investigated, blocked, and otherwise foiled numerous times. Near the end, suspicion began to mount on glyphz who was lynched after a tie vote which allowed the newly emerged serial killers to outnumber the Mafia. A significant amount of out of thread communication took place.

Notable happenings: Andres’ fried mafia which ended in a relatively easy town victory. The town had a extremely swift start which ended with the death of a mafia member on Night 2, inactive Tratorix was WOGed due to inactivity and since then Shlin had to do it all alone. A combination of good intuitions from townies and sheer luck would ensure a comfortable victory for town in the mid-game period.

Notable Happenings:TheFlax was implicated in the first kill (Ares), but players though it was too WIFOM, and ignored it. Then, they lynched Jan III, purely by chance. TheFlax, and White Eyes both refrained from killing, and then TheFlax was lynched after I saw my mistake in trusting him. Then, White Eyes managed to kill 4 townies in a single night.

The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=114819)

Mafia: taka, Beefy187 (mafias didn't know each other)

Notable Happenings: Concept of this game was for the players to role play some of the most famous philosophers in the history of mankind. Players knew that at least one of the philosophers was a fake one with hidden agenda.
Whilst players enjoyed role playing their philosopher, Beefy got axed in the mid game as he was inconsistant with his "Peace.. Let us abstain" strategy, in disguise as Ashoka the founder of Buddhism as he knew that mafia didn't have to lynch but simply survive four rounds. However with four players alive in the final round, players chose that Kong Fuzi was the one to be lynched, leaving Lao Tsu played by taka who was Machiavelli in disguise. This once again showed takas supremacy in the small game, as he got his third small game victory as a mafia in the past 6 weeks

Vegetarian: Ares, White_eyes (Subbed by Greyblades)

Notable Happenings: The victory of Yoyoma seemed inevitable, as from the beggining of the game Shlin and taka claimed to be a vassal of Beefdom. With all of them being none vegetarians, they seemed to get the upper hand. However, Askthepizzaguy succeeded in making alliance of equal size, successfully countering Yoyoma. In early game White_eyes quitted as he saw none of the neighbours attempting war, but rather trying to take the matters on the hands of diplomacy. However event of White_eyes quitting, changed many of the players stance towards the game. Reenk Roink who joined the Beefdom alliance raged war on ATPG, while Yoyoma sneak attacked YLC who was fighting Ares at that time. YLC, being the only player role playing a women, decided that he would marry Yoyoma, in order to gain his trust and betray him at the best time. With Beefy assisting his ploy with the write ups, YLC eventually succeeded. Veggies seemed to be doomed with Greyblades confession and killing his own ally, Greyblades somehow managed to survive till the end game. Game ended as the host was too lazy to continue.

Stoolies: Atheotes, Factionheir

Notable Happenings: In this game, the town was in actuality the Philadelphia Mafia and were being infiltrated by Stoolies. Doctor Tratorix had a blast in the earlier rounds, saving Beefy in round one, and saving pevergreen later. This combined with the detectives work was efficient in narrowing down suspects. The town did however, lynch Beefy in the later game despite the fact that he was saved by the medic.. which was the only bad move, and it was enough to let the Stoolies slip by with a draw in a weepingly beautiful final crossfire scene. However the town as a whole, was great.

Mafia: TheFlax, Beefy (Didn't know each other)
Notable Happenings: Little did they know, the Jedi was the mafia and the sith was the townie.. The game started off with Beefy claiming TheFlax to be on the opposite team, trying for the previous semi success in tainted evil. However "I used the force and TheFlax is guilty" tactic turned out bad for beefy as he... Master Kenobi was lynched. TheFlax hanged on quite well, but he got lynched in the second last round, revealing him self to be Master Windu. This was one of the epic mafia failures in the history of Org Mafia.

Notable Happenings: On the early stage, town seemed to be in good position, as they discovered several "probebly innocents" early on. YLC cunningly apeared to be helpful towns over and over again, such as explaining likely game mechanics, and beating back a horde of zombies with his RPG which made him look like the hero. Beefy revealed his real identity of medic to YLC early as round 1, and never doubted him. TheFlax and Beefy developed their wierd love/hate relationship which ended up as a complete love which continued on from the previous starwars mafia, however TheFlax betrayed beefy by bailing out with another player... on a yellow fun ride, leaving beefy behind to be lynched.. At the end, YLC turned Tratorix into the Tyrant and slaughtered the remaining towns, resulting in mafia victory.

Sasaki Kojiro: Death is yonder (Later chosen as hacker role ATPG)

Notable Happenings:
On round 1, Jolt claimed that Beskar was trying to cover up the fact that he had already revealed the hacker/mafia on the very first round, leading to a near total town victory on day 1, except that DIY promptly used his vote switch to save himself. Game was also notable for very interesting and humorous screen shots doubling as secondary write ups. Was a close call as Random.org dictated the last round, which was a 3 way tie, without the others realizing it, as Sasaki, who was playing TosaInu, would automatically win the last round if it was a last man standing with him and the hacker.

The three reserves were allowed to comment in and about the game (but no vote) as an effort to bring a lot more communication and discussion. Notable Happenings:
Instead of set abilities, the hitmen was assigned money to use any ability they could dream of, with restrictions and advice being told they aren't allowed to go bankrupt. ATPG discovered the other Hitman in the first night, and the investigator found ATPG. ATPG in the thread turned the detective around on CDF, getting him lynched, while messaging the other hitman to attempt to work together, to try to take out the town. This left the round after only to contain both hitman and one town. ATPG convinces the other hitman to lynch the townie! allowing himself a 50% chance of winning the game. Beefy187 could have won the game, by working with the townie, to lynch the Pizzaguy but didn't do so. ATPG played the town and the other hitman for an amazing performance.

Death is Yonder was already suspected few times, and eventually he took a gamble move to blow his self up. I'll try and give the notable happenings of some games I went far in, if you want to use them.

Godfather III - Despite the incredible activity in this game, the town remained very confused and bickered a lot until the end, due partly to the Mafia who obfuscated the situation with their write ups and refraining from killing. Tevash went down midway, but by that time khaan was already killed and Ares killed an innocent Sasaki leaving Beefy and White eyes coasting until the very end when the town opinion converged on them.

Chicago Soiree - Low activity and bad leads really did the town in as boudica and Sigurd lurked easily to a total Mafia victory in this classic Mafia game. Both the town and the Mafia had anticipated a detective, but there was none to be found.

The Prometheus - The dynamic of conversion confused both the town and the Mafia in the early goings. Askthepizzaguy was flagged and lynched early on and KukriKhan was WoG'd shortly after but the original agent khaan came up with the brilliant idea with revealing himself through a fake detective reveal and his sacrifice allowed Reenk to finish it off.

I'll try to get Whispers of the Night and You Can't Win (the two small games I lasted long in) done later. Also, Ephesus needs to be done, but I missed out on the middle part of the game, so I don't think I'm the guy to do it.

Whoot, I'm just happy to see I made it onto the synopsis list. TF, you can do it (and thank you Reenk for wanting to take up WotN :2thumbsup::yes:), I'm a bit busy now...

...writing a bit of fiction for WotN and Dark Vacuum! Cheer me on people :laugh4:, this is one of my bigger undertakings. I plan to try to do a chapter a week for both (may have to slim down to one). PM if you wish to be involved please!

Also, if possible, would anyone object to the idea of having a small game again within the same universe of Dark Vacuum?

(36) The Midgard Saga II (1535)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=105637)
Organized by Sigurd
Jotun (mafia): LittleGrizzly, Sarathos, TinCow

Jotun (mafia) Victory

If you can do couple of notable happenings that will help heaps. Although it should be better if you do it for one of the game you hosted or took part in.

Mafia: King Jan III Sobieski, White Eyes :D
Serial Killer: TheFlax

Mafia victory. TheFlax was implicated in the first kill (Ares), but players though it was too WIFOM, and ignored it. Then, they lynched Jan III, purely by chance. TheFlax, and White Eyes both refrained from killing, and then TheFlax was lynched after I saw my mistake in trusting him. Then, White Eyes managed to kill 4 townies in a single night.

Wow, really nice, Beefy, this is like an archive going back to early 2007 (or before, perhaps?)!

For my small contribution: You may want to add in Khaan's Spirit Mafia that GeneralHankerchief was a Serial Killer. It came down to only us and him at the very end, there were no townies left.

Kralizec, yes, but you can continue to refer to him in the game in which he was Fenring, as Fenring.

Everyone in the thread referred to him as such, so saying Kralizec may be confusing on the re-read.

As for "merging", you can simply copy the contents using the edit button of one post, and add it to the original post, and then delete the one that is halfway down the thread and replace it with a smiley face.

Here is some of my take on a few of the small games I've played in the past, I didn't have much time so I might do a few more when I get back.

Giraffe Conspiracy:
Notable happenings: Relative low activity from the town during the early and mid game certainly didn’t help much and the mafia went further in quite easily. However some fierce debates were triggered in the final round, with the four living players each hurling accusations at each other. Woad&Fangs did very well to get an extension but eventually the experience of Andres and the resilience of Sarathos did him in. Game is notable for Beefy’s hilarious final write-up.

Soviet Mafia:
Notable happenings: The aspiring dictators played very little part in the course of the game, with the town having even less idea about the identity of the mafia. Pever figured it out in the final round, but he was dead and his effort was wasted, further inactivity from the final townies meant that the mafia was able to secure an easy victory.

Mini Simpsons Mafia:

The Proscription:

Starship Exodus:
Notable happenings: Experimental game hosted by the great selfless townie Shlin. There were plenty of fun and confusion, with some underground alliances and pacts between players. The game became a murderless mafia victory, with the town lynching a innocent player and then the captain elect, which was required to remain alive in order for town to win.

The Lunar Whale – A final fantasy mafia

Noble Sons and Two filths:
Notable Happenings: Absolutely crazy cult mafia game, deserves to be better summarised by somebody else.

If you feel that if any of the description is too long then feel free to shorten it Beefy, also you can change the summuries if you wish.

That's ok. Someday I will actually be responsible for a victory, instead of a near-victory, for the town. I think it's wildly amusing that in every game that I've played as town, no matter how hard I try, either myself or someone else bungles it. I think it was only Fillet Royale where I didn't mess up THAT bad, but then again I didn't really play after I died.

But the only thing I did was unvote Taka. I can't really claim any credit on that one.

From my history of games posted here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=2183490):

I see I was useful to town because I eliminated the final threat to the town in Resident Evil... but I was neutral, so that doesn't count. I personally bungled the Family Guy mafia after an otherwise good performance, so that doesn't count. I got Tevash in Godfather, but after that I was useless and if people listened to me post round 6, town would have lost. I don't even want to think about Ephesus, Chicago, and Whispers, though I nailed glyphz in the last one.

So, in spite of everything I've tried, I've failed to be a good townie in 100% of my games. Awesome.

"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" by Myrd.

Someone needs to cut this down a bit... :sweatdrop:

Further Updates:

Family Guy Mafia:
Coming towards the end game even with the noose gradually tightening Rythmic managed to evaded attention and managed to secure a very smooth mafia win.

By the way Beefy in Family Guy Rythmic was the only teddy snatcher (mafia), Quintus was the potential mass-murdering SK and Khaan was the neutral aligned character who chose to followed the mafia path.

You can’t win:
Notable happenings: Good old West show, featuring a vast array of mafia and neutral characters at the start. With five out of thirteen characters to be anti-town, it looked like town was in big trouble. However due to the effort of the town super vigilante YLC who correctly murdered several prominent mafia members, who balance of power was gradually restored in seemingly town’s favour. With the action reaching the last day YLC was lynched due to good mafia play and a lack of coordinated town effort, ending in a mafia victory.

Whisper in the Night:

Mafia Kingpin: Reenk, Glyphz
Dead mafia recruits: aplenty
Would be serial killer: Sigurd

Result:Serial Killer victory

Notable happenings: Superb game, I feel this summery is better left for YLC to write, but I’d gladly do it if no one else would do it.

The abused potatoes:
Notable happenings: Andres’ fried mafia which ended in a relatively easy town victory. The town had a extremely swift start which ended with the death of a mafia member on Night 2, inactive Tratorix was WOGed due to inactivity and since then Shlin had to do it all alone. A combination of good intuitions from townies and sheer luck would ensure a comfortable victory for town in the mid-game period.

I was going to use the current names, however, ATPG suggested that its better to use the old name for easier reference when reading it through. The ones town lost, I have a couple of games where I named all the mafia and made a really dumb final decision not to go with my first choice. (Lunar Whale and Family Guy) so even in those I kinda stink. LOL

As a townie, you were one out of 24, and thus expected to contribute 1/24 of the winning effort.

Btw, your "townie failures anonymous" group lists the members for all to see :bounce:

I think we should seperate the synopsis by year as the list is quite long and its pretty hard to edit if it gets too long.

Also could someone gimme a quick heads up on what went on in the Settlement please? Bit of Inishmore would be good to.

Cheers :2thumbsup:

Inishmore:

Two mafia families, godfather at the head of each, mastermind to pick the godfathers. A few pro town roles that got upgraded later in the game.
English Mafia: GH(GF), Sasaki/Ituralde
IRA: Diana Abnoba(GF), ATPGuy/Andres
Mairead (Doctor): Polemists, changed to Reenk Roink when Polemists was WoG'd
Davey (Gossiper/rune carver): Gaelic Cowboy, changed to FactionHeir when GC was WoG'd
Donney (Detective): Seamus
Padraic (Serial Killer): A Very Super Market
Mastermind: Shinseikhaan
Townie who had control of Wee Thomas: taka

Someone else can give a proper summary

Reenk Roink
04-09-2009, 06:22
Here is Whispers of the Night:

(15) Whispers at Night (570)
Host: YLC
Demons (Mafia): glyphz, Reenk Roink
Little Boy: Quintus.JC
Big Sister/Avatar of Malice (Serial Killer): Sigurd
All Roles (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=2124099&postcount=529)

Notable happenings: A well written, story driven small game with the dynamic that dead players would become ghosts and gain collective powers, the game saw glyphz and Reenk coast through most of the game undetected despite being investigated, blocked, and otherwise foiled numerous times. Near the end, suspicion began to mount on glyphz who was lynched after a tie vote which allowed the newly emerged serial killers to outnumber the Mafia. A significant amount of out of thread communication took place.

Will try to get You Can't Win done sometime too.

It's a crime that Netherworld Mafia doesn't have a description, so I shall provide one.

I'm working on various statistics while I wait the results for the noble sons.

Meanwhile what say we post a analysis of each players playing style and records etc for those who recently joined us.

ATPG
Hosting: Always with a twist, and I love to leave clues and do fancy, violent murder writeups.

Townie: Generally good at picking mafia, fairly good record... but I screw up just a bit too often for my taste. I can't really claim much credit for any townie victories I was a part of, barring Godfather III as an exception to the rule, and yet not so much an exception... I still did really bad after my one good pick.

Mafia: 4 wins/5 games, destroyer of pro-town roles.

Beefy187

Hosting: Slightly dodgey with details, and descriptions are dodgey as English aren't his first languege. Fairly creative, and original in his game concepts. Prefers role playing game, rather then standerd

Townie: In big game, he either gets incredibly active and gets him self lynched in the earlier rounds, or lurks and joins every bandwagon opportunities he sees. Lacks the skill to make his own case on other players. Relies heavily on gut instincts and other players analysis. Proved him self to be naive as he tends to believe almost every player he gets contacted in private. His usually in the top 5 posters.

Mafia: Usually fairly good at mafia, as he acts pretty much the same as when he is townie. Gets him self lynched anyway. Won twice as a mafia (Walking Dinner and Flying Bananas) and came very close in God Father III. He used to be one of "always innocent" but in recent games, Random. Org favours him, giving him powerful roles more frequently.

Swords in the moon synopsys:

Takeda team: Sasaki (Takeda), CountArach (Takeda Bodydouble), Husar, Gobbledygook, glyphz (Bodyguards)

Factionless SK's: AVSM; RoadKill
Klingon Assassin: Beskar

Winner: Beskar

Mini Mafia Org; The Sequel

Mafia: Death is yonder (Playing as Sasaki who got hijacked by ATPG)

Abilities: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=2266334&postcount=144

Roles

Ser Clegane: Jolt
Andres: Greyblades
Banquo's Ghost: AVSM
Lemur: 'Khaan
TosaInu: Sasaki Kojiro
Tincow: Cultured Drizzt Fan

Hacker Victory.

Synopsis of Pizzaguy-related games.

Games I've hosted

Mini Simpsons Mafia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=106845)
Result: Serial Killer Victory. Winners: Craterus, Fenring.
The Twist: I allowed Fenring to fake an attempt on his life. Fortunately the town considered him a suspect anyway, and I put lots of clues in which indicated.... Burns. He was vigilante killed at the end, but they forgot to eliminate Smithers.

Futurama Drama Mafiama (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=107859)
Result: Total Mafia Victory. Winners: Fahad I (Gobbledygook) and Omanes Alexandrapolites.
The Twist: I created a false, extra set of win conditions so town would think that Professor Farnsworth was the key to either side's win or loss. However, when he was exposed in an early round and mafia did not kill him, that was the vital clue that was overlooked.

The Full Monty (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=108584)
Result: Actor Victory, Second Place Stonecutter Victory. Winner: Fenring.
The Twist: There was an Actor, who wins if he gets lynched. Also, there was a Mason group, the Stonecutters, who become mafia if all the serial killers and mafia are eliminated.

The Golden Rule (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=110184)
Result: Total Destruction. Host Victory. Winner: Askthepizzaguy. Honorable Mention: Yoyoma1910 for solving the mystery.
The Twist: Everyone was a serial killer, and their only win condition was to survive, not to murder anyone. The Host wins if everyone kills one another, which they did.

Psycho Mafia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=113845)
Result: Marginal Asylum Victory. Winners: Everyone who played, except the host.
The Twist: 3 detectives, all of them with some kind of handicap, and Detective Andy's split personality was the Psycho.

Murder Manor Mini Mafia I (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=113687)
Result: Town Victory. Winners: Beefy187, Taka, Captain Blackadder, Yoyoma1910, 777Ares777, shlin28.
The Twist: No night phase, no night kills, and every player was a room, and you could only vote for a room, not a player. Began tradition of MegaDeath writeups for awesome players who play my games.

Murder Manor Mini Mafia II (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=114095)
Result: Town Victory. Winners: Beefy187, TheFlax, Warman8, 777Ares777, CountArach
The Twist: Same as Murder Manor I, except two mafia who didn't know each other. Fake ending surprise, 3 MegaDeath Writeups.

Philosopher's Mini Mafia I (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=114819)
Result: Malevolent Victory. Winners: Taka and Beefy187
The Twist: Same as Murder Manor II, except there was no fake ending.

South Park Mafia I (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=233844) (TWC)
Result: Town victory. Mafia: Beefy187 and Double A
The Twist: Satan and Saddam Hussein took over Stan and Kyle and made them parade around as a militant wing of PETA... and Kenny died every round.

Neverwinter Mafia- A Joker's Curse (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=112350) (Co-hosted with 777Ares777)
Result: Joker Victory (White_Eyes)
The Twist: (Ares' twist) White_eyes was a Joker role, and he died... came back to life... and died twice for the victory.

Unknown Mafia (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=224318) (Took over hosting from Double A)
Result: Joker Victory (Thermal Mercury AKA 777Ares777)
The Twist: (Double A's twist) There were a couple mafia families, a serial killer, and a Joker role. Hilarious was the result of the Night One Bloodbath, as both families eliminated one another and half the town decided to give in to their own suicidal tendencies. 12 hours later (in game terms) the other half of the roster of players was destroyed in an EPIC explosion when town, once again, lynched a Joker. I basically hosted the entire game.

Treehouse of Horror I (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=115442) (summary thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=115963))
Result: Serial Killer Victory. Winners: Beaver. Also: Fixiwee and YLC.
The Twist: Sideshow Bob could only be nightkilled by the Capo de Tutti Capi. The Capo recruited a trusted Consigliere who also recruited 4 Godfathers, who in turn recruited henchmen. The town had an investigator who died early. Typical Pizzaguy clues everywhere, hard to detect and decipher at times. The Host was acting as a mafia contact so the mafioso could contact one another indirectly, thus protecting the bosses' identities from their underlings. The Capo wanted to be the last one standing; Sideshow Bob wanted to be the last one standing; the Black Hand wanted only one mafia family to survive to the end; the henchman wanted to murder the Capo or the Black Hand and retire filthy stinking rich; the host wanted everyone to eliminate one another so he could claim a Golden Rule style victory, being the evil man that he is. Didn't happen though.

Mini Mafia IV (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=116976)- (Murder Manor I and II, followed by Philosophers) Star Wars: A New Hope (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=116976)
Result: Sith Lord Victory. Winners: Diana Abnoba, Beskar, Splitpersonality, pevergreen, atheotes.
The Twist: Jedi Versus Sith... not really a town versus mafia style game. It was two factions, no nightkills, 2 Jedi versus 5 Sith with the stipulation that if the Jedi get down to 1 versus 1 with the Sith they win automatically, because the Jedi don't have to survive they simply need to destroy the Sith, and the Sith have to survive. Neither team knew who their partners were. TheFlax assisted in his partner Beefy's destruction on round one, and after that, paranoia went rampant, and even when the Sith outnumbered TheFlax AND he claimed to be Jedi, the Sith were wary of voting for him because they had no idea they had other Sith to back them up. I was frankly surprised that they did decide to vote him dead. Well done, Sith.

Mini Mafia V (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117157)- Star Trek: Cloak and Dagger (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117157)
Result: Klingon Assassin victory (Winner: Beskar)
The Twist: There were 2 serial killers, and a mafia faction. The only way people could kill at night is if the vote was tied.

Resident Evil: Omega (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117441)
Result: Umbrella Agent and Tyrant Victory (Winners: YLC and Tratorix
The Twist: This was a sequel, done with permission, based off of YLC's Resident Evil: Silent Night game. This game involved a zombie faction, a townie faction, a serial killer, a neutral agent, and a potential ally for the agent. The game involved finding weapons, holding off zombie attacks, lynching the axe murderer, and other neat goodies. I really enjoyed hosting this game.

Games I've played
Blue=Victory
Red=Failure

The Lunar Whale (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=107164)
Results: Town loss. My very first game, I attempted rather successfully a pro-town network strategy, and pegged both mafia before I died. Unfortunately, it was too late, and town did not lynch either one.

Resident Evil: Silent Night (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=108520)
Results: Zombie loss. I could have ended the game at any time by killing the Umbrella Agent, but it was much more fun being a plot device and being my evil, evil zombie self. My avatar changed and never went back to the realm of the living. I've been dead ever since.

MAFIA- The Prometheus (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=108954)
Results: Mafia victory. I played supertownie until I was lynched in round four... then after death, I managed to be quite useful in confusing the town, even though I was a known mafioso. Reenk and Seireikhaan were my partners in this epic game where Reenk had to go solo for several rounds after a dubious detective reveal, just a few rounds too long for comfort. Somehow, he survived. Well done.

The Fillet Royale (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=109832)
Results: Town victory. I was an early kill, and due to other games I was in, I stopped paying attention. Came back and questioned Quintus.JC (mafia) and backed up Reenk's reveal as being legitimate due to me being a mason and him detecting us as masons correctly. Otherwise didn't play an active part.

The Family Guy Mafia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=110036)
Results: Marginal town loss. I employed the pro-town network strategy again, got seireikhaan early and Quintus.JC.... pegged Rythmic (Psychonaut) as the final mafia but lost my nerve and went after White_Eyes instead. Such a shame... a near-repeat of Lunar Whale....
:wall:

The Chicago Soiree (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=111216)
Results: Epic town failure. Total mafia win. I really, really did poorly that game. Sorry folks.

MAFIA- You Can't Win (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=111209)
Results: Mafia victory. Started out as a neutral, just needed to survive. After some epic roleplaying by myself and Andres, I eventually decided to reveal as neutral and not stand in the way of either team's victory. However, SkyNet had been completed and I wanted to test it out. Pegged Andres as mafia and coerced a private confession.... then joined his team for the win. This is the first time I ever survived a game, I think.

Whispers in the Night (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=111515)
Results: Town loss. I was a simple townie and I had no idea what was going on in this crazy game. I got only one guess right; glyphz. I generally stink at complex games.

The Scourge of Ephesus (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=111134)
Results: Town loss. I had no idea what was going on... thankfully I dropped my attack on GeneralHankerchief. However, SkyNet failed me and needed to be refined. I stink at complex games.

The Capitalist Commie (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=113365)
Results: One turn townie victory. Amazing... the only thing I did right was remove my vote from Taka, and the entire team can claim credit for coming together and accidentally nailing Lord Winter. Mostly Yoyoma and White_Eyes, though, for their votes!

The Godfather, Part III (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=112065)
Results: Marginal townie victory. Most epic game I've ever been in. SkyNet claims credit for Tevash, after turn 6 I really dropped the ball. Still, 1 out of 3 and a forced one-murder per round for the mafia is pretty good work. Kudos to Beefy and White_eyes for really fooling me good.

MAFIA- Jubal's A Game of..... Mafia (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=207185) (TWC)
Results: Mafia victory. I attempted to lynch or WOG my absent mafia partner to make myself look innocent. After that, I was lynched, but I had a replacement partner. Due to some impressive WIFOM tactics, the town ended up lynching Thermal Mercury (777Ares777) who had been confirmed as innocent via investigation, instead of my partner, Rob_the_Celt.

MAFIA- Blackadder Mafia (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=217758) (TWC)
Results: Mafia victory. My two partners died and I had to face a vigilante and serial killer and a confirmed townie in the final round with 5 players left. Somehow.... some way... a coin flip allowed me to survive and kill everyone. I survive my second game, both times as mafia.

Medieval Mafia (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=221847) (TWC)
Results: Town loss. Once again, I employ the Pro-town network... this time, I employ the evil evil tactic of lying to my own townie friends to get them to reveal stuff. It works, and we have nailed down a very short suspect list with enormous amounts of time left on the clock. Hoping for a win. However, I died and the townies let Chaotix survive. However, I nailed Rob the Celt and also accused MuttonChops and led the protown effort until I died.

The Settlement Mafia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=113668)
Results: Townie Victory! Woot!

MAFIA- The Fight for Inishmore (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=113773)
Results: IRA (mafia) did not win. A good performance from us up until the last round...

Council of Villains (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=115505)
Results: Villain victory! Woot!
Finally a pro-town network succeeds, but to be honest we got a lot of help from our vigilante-turned-serial killer. Khaan had an awesome game, and it almost makes me sad that we had to destroy him. Bowser sheds a crocodile tear for his long lost handsome man.

Noble Sons II (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=115521)
Results: Game canceled.

Tainted Minds (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=116964)
Result: Town victory.
I died right away and didn't get to play.

Omerta (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=116725)
Result: Draw
I managed to survive to the end, and I thought atheotes would be a good final lynch. However, even I decided to just go with the flow and lynch the wrong guy. Fortunately we managed to kill all the traitors, at the cost of our leaders life.

Soviet Mini Mafia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117059)
Result: Commie Victory
I happened to be on the winning side, but I died.

MAFIA- TF Mini Mafia I- Mass Effect (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117345)
Result: Indoctrinated Victory (Askthepizzaguy and Cultured Drizzt Fan)
This is a performance I am especially proud of, which boosted my mafia win/participation ration to 5 wins out of 6 games.

Team Fortress (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117685)

This is one where I was a backup player, I played for a bit and died. The Senate won, and I'm proud of them, though I didn't do much.

Fillet Royale II (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=116967)
Result: Beef Mafia Victory
This is one where town could have won, but I was the last active townie remaining as the other went AWOL. We couldn't force the victory, but somehow I survived and I suppose I joined the Beef team. Yay? Rare survival for me. Also, I was in jail, so there were two of me.

(Another) Soviet Mini Mafia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117511&page=2)
Result: Soviet Win? Draw? who knows...
Caius never finished the game.

MAFIA- Dethy Mini Mafia! (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118258)
Result: Mafia/Joker win (Askthepizzaguy and Beskar)
I'm very pleased with my acting performance this time. The situation was too simple, and it was a little unfair on the town, but Beskar and I won the hard way and we convinced nearly everyone he was mafia and I was a townie. Result: KABOOM. I am the sole survivor. Brings my mafia record up to 6 wins out of 7 games.

Lift Escape Reverse Mafia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118639)
Result: Tratorix kills everyone (Serial Killer victory)
I made it out alive, but Tratorix also got out and killed everyone.

MAFIA- Dark Descent (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118358)
Result: Khaan and AVSM win, Pizzaguy and Chaotix get second place.
I loved this game. I played "Sorrow", a creature of unspeakable evil, converted my partner Khaan on the first night and we made a great team, until it was revealed he was his own team. lol

Asterix and the Gauls (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118117)
Result: none yet
Me died very early. Very sad.

Futurama Dramarama Mafiarama (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118486)
Result: Town victory
I died, but I got to roleplay as the Robot Devil, which was fun.

Ugg the Violent Caveman (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118262)
Result: none yet
Me died very early. Very sad.

MAFIA- Hitman's Gambit (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118881)
Results: Hitman victory (Askthepizzaguy)
This was the most bizarre victory ever.

MAFIA- Splintered Cells (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118790)
Result: Infection takes over Iskander
On this game, it turns out my theory about Beskar and TheFlax being on the infected team was absolutely right, and although my page-long diatribe about lynching Beskar was in vain, it was also completely on-target. Unfortunately I had zero chance of winning because the active people were the infected ones. However, I survived and became one of them... thus putting me in the winning column. I guess it pays to be active.

My commentary about myself

Hosting: Usually with a twist, and I love to leave clues and do fancy, violent murder writeups.
Townie: I am definitely getting better. When I am useless I tend to find ways to take a bullet for the team, which keeps the protown roles alive. When I have a useful role, I've been getting better at surviving.
Mafia: 9 wins out of 10 games as mafia. I make it a personal policy to NEVER lurk to victory.

The school is busier then I expected.

I can, if needed. However, maybe Sigurd/Sasaki/etc have other ideas, so probably best to forward it to them.

Actually, that is a great point. It would be best left to the moderators though they would hate me for suggesting that (more work-load).

(7+3) Lift Escape (Reverse Mafia) (158)
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118639)
Organised by Beskar
Mafia: Tratorix
Town: TheFlax
Askthepizzaguy
Greyblades
Death is Yonder
Beefy187
Lord Winter
SWAT: Iskander 3.1
atheotes
A Very Super Market

Notable Happenings:
Compared to conventional mini-mafia with lynchings, in this game, it is done by saving. As such, the town can lose on the first night by saving the Mafia. The three reserves were allowed to comment in and about the game (but no vote) as an effort to bring a lot more communication and discussion. While many players tried to save themselves, Tratorix saved others and very nearly not get saved, and only spared by Death is Yonder's and Beefy's arguments.

Result: Mafia Victory

(7) Hitman's Gambit
The thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=118881)
Organised by Beskar
Hitman 1: Beefy187
Hitman 2: AskthePizzaGuy
Invesitgator: Cultured Drizzt Fan
Town: Tratorix
Captain Blackadder (formerly atheotes)
A Very Super Market (formerly Iskander 3.1)
Khazaar

Result: Hitman 2 Victory

So I should be back in business in few days soon as I finish planning what to do in the next few months

I've added summaries for my games as well as any that I remember. Mostly Large games from the 2007/8 era as 2006 and 2009 are already well-covered for the most part.

The synopsis are now updated

However as you can see, half the games including the recent ones aren't summarized. I have nothing against you. I'm just an terrible skim reader and I have no confidence in writing English after over a year of living in a none English speaking country. So please help me out on improving those.

Also, I think the synopsis should get separated soon, as the list is getting quite gigantic, and its quite hard to reference or edit. Perhaps making a separate list for each year starting next year would be a good idea.

I would recommend dividing up large chunks of the list with multiple separate spoilers. Perhaps by year. That way you can skip to the latest games first by simply not clicking the first couple spoilers.

Awesome in the extreme. A generous cut of the finest, tenderest, juiciest mafia ever to have been played... by humans....

Soon the insectoids will erradicate your species. All hail the glorious Queen Znarglefrag.

Awesome job you're doing with this. Thanks! :2thumbsup:

Beefy, will you please add in the Battle Royale into your list? It wasn't mafia but it had a pretty good turnout.

If you so choose to do this for me, add whatever detail you would like.

Beefy187

@TB: I added a link like pever said. Perhaps you could do one for the Castle 2 even though it didn't finish.

@Zain: I added the result (Congratulations CDF :2thumbsup:) but I died too early to make a synopsis for it. perhaps someone else could write one.

EDIT: well... soon as the Org feels like saving what I updated..

If it is not updated, then its not my fault
I can edit it, but I cannot save or go into advance mode it seems.

I believe there is a limit to how large a single post can get.

I know this because I've reached that limit before. :laugh4:

1. The text that you have entered is too long (1368781 characters). Please shorten it to 500000 characters long.

If need be I can always split the post up, but I don't want to do that until we know for sure it's passed the character limit.

I've checked and its still only 14666 post. I don't know how the heck you can write that long :laugh4:

It normally takes about 10-15 second to update the thing after I click "save"
Since the internet here is slower, maybe it takes more.. But I don't have the patience of waiting.
