I get the frustration with the pro-villain group, and the boringness of the strategy, sure, but perhaps one of the main reasons I'd like to ensure you're not going to survive the endgame is because... well... I think others are putting forth more effort, and you haven't been fully cleared in my eyes. We have others demonstrating abilities that show up in the writeup, and your wind mage has zero abilities? When we might have a Link running around?

Funny thing is.....Only the Arbiter had a kill defense of 50%.....Star Wolf had a 30%.....rest of the guild???=dead weight:skull:

:bow: I apologise if my antics are a bit annoying, but that is the nature of mafia games. In most games where mafia are revealed when they are lynched, you get a lot of lies flying around. In Capo II it was literally dozens of mafia arguing and lying to the 5 remaining townies... it was very very stressful, but very funny when you look back to it :yes:

Starting the write-up now. Sorry, it won't be done on time because I didn't get enough actions until recently. Expect it in an hour or two.

Night 10

Sephiroth strode down the halls, hunched over, his hideously disfigured face hidden in the shadows. An unseen grin stretched across his face as he reached his destination.

With the flick of a finger, he blew the door off its hinges. Inside was the Psychic being, Mewtwo.

When Sephiroth revealed himself, Mewtwo looked about as pissed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RlpfDOe-eU) as a Pokemon can possibly look. He began shouting at Sephiroth, although not through words: Mewtwo had no mouth, and so only spoke telepathically.

“ARGH! Not AGAIN! Every single night I have to deal with some imbecile coming to bother me while I try to meditate!”

“However do you mean?”

“Well, you morons started coming to bother me a few nights ago. First it was this big, fat, STUPID penguin. With a hammer. He broke down my door and started rambling on about how I couldn’t go anywhere that night, as if I had actually had any intentions to go somewhere in the first place.”

“Sounds annoying. I would’ve killed him, personally.”

“Thankfully, the fat lard fell asleep about three minutes in, so I didn’t have to listen to his idiotic voice. Then he got killed by Kefka, and I thought my troubles were over. But no. Instead, I got this freaking space dragon sticking his head into my doorframe and screeching at me all night.”

“The whole night?”

“I couldn’t meditate at all in that racket. I was about to kill the beast by morning. Then, last night, it showed up again. You would think that whoever’s running the “Koopa Troop” would take a hint after bothering me for two nights, already, but NOOOOO. Meta-Ridley decided, using his pea-sized brain, that it would be a good idea to screech at me for another twelve hours.”

“Well, I don’t see him here tonight.”

“No, but YOU’RE here. I bet you’ve come to tell me that I’m not allowed to leave this room, as I would undoubtedly want to do. I must be the only Pokemon ever that could possibly be thought of as willingly evil, and here you morons are, once again, to stop me from killing other evil things. I don’t even have a :daisy:ing trainer!”

“No, actually, I’m here to kill you (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XcZQ6r2JEU).”

Sephiroth let out an evil laugh, and lunged at Mewtwo with his blade. Mewtwo, startled, just managed to Teleport out of the way before he was cleaved in two. He reappeared behind the warrior.

“Well, this’ll make things a bit more interesting, I suppose.”

In one three-fingered hand, Mewtwo began charging a Shadow Ball. Sephiroth tried to strike again before the attack was complete, however. Just before he swung, Mewtwo used Confusion with his other hand. A Psychic force flipped Sephiroth backwards, head over heels, and dropped him against the wall.

Mewtwo now unleashed his Shadow Ball. Sephiroth, though disoriented, was ready for the attack. He raised his blade and deflected the dark ball of energy with his sword, directly back at Mewtwo. The blow knocked Mewtwo backwards, stunning him. Sephiroth was once again lunging towards him.

But Mewtwo wouldn’t give up without a fight. He looked straight at Sephiroth with a piercing glare, using his Hypnosis technique. Sephiroth stopped in his tracks, a dazed look washing over his face. The evil Pokemon used his Psychic powers to lift Sephiroth into the air. He paused, preparing to swing him around like a rag doll.

Before he had the chance, however, he had a ten-foot long sword protruding from his chest. A smug grin graced Sephiroth’s face.

“Fooled you.”

Sephiroth dropped to the ground and haphazardly swung his blade, beheading Mewtwo. No blood spurted forth from his neck, because Pokemon is an E-rated game and Nintendo couldn’t possibly put blood into it.

Dissappointed at the lack of carnage, but no less satisfied with his kill otherwise, Sephiroth left the room and continued down the hallway.

The sad part is, we already investigated you, or so I was told. Even sadder is that everyone alive has been cleared somehow.

1. Pizzaguy- been lynched, vigilante'd, still indestructible because I'm Bowser, King of the Koopas.
2. Sasaki- Role PM was rather explicit that he wasn't a suspect and I was supposed to trust him. So why don't I?
3. Khazaar- seems to have the ability to investigate and was similarly cleared.
4. Shinseikhaan was investigated.
5. Beefy is defending people, and he was dead and would still be dead were it not for my suggestion that Fluffy revive him.
6. Yaropolk... "revived" by our proven innocent investigator, supposed to be able to block and vigilante and defend, but hasn't been in the writeups as doing so lately.
7. Ichigo- was investigated already, but otherwise claims to have no abilities, was sound asleep one night.


This leads me to believe several things:

1. Ichigo has voluntarily elected not to kill anyone, to avoid being detected. (most likely)
2. Yaropolk might have alignment shifted. his role claim is absurd. He isn't killing because he knows he would be a suspect if he did. (more likely)
3. Shinseikhaan is investigation-immune and a serial killer, not a vigilante (doubtful but possible)
4. Beefy alignment shifted due to Dracula turning him into the undead. (doubtful... he seems to be able to defend still.)
5. Khazaar builds the Weapon of Ambiguous Doom thingy and destroys us all now that the heroes and antiheroes are gone, thus fulfilling his lone survivor victory condition... (I'll be pretty ticked off... :laugh2::)
6. Sasaki survives a game for once as a mafioso, and well done because you're due for one. (And I will look at the host like this: :brood:)
7. I've gone completely out of my mind and/or the host forgot to tell me I've been recruited or something, which would have been a good move, you antiheroes. That would also explain why there's been no additional kills, and it would explain why I've been bonked on the head every night for the past several nights. (If this is the correct answer, then I win anyway because you can't kill me, so the game is unfair. And I will still go :brood:)

Allright, I investigated ATPG and to no surprise he´s a Villain. Chaotix writeup made it extremely clear and also informed me about his strenghs and weaknesses. They confirm the information I had before, so sorry about that, but everyone needs to get investigated at least once.

Again there has been only a single kill, so I´d say we need to stop killing and see what happens. We can still protect and block, if the hero attacks a defended target it will say so in the writeup. The last person that I would willingly support a lynch is Ichigo (sry about that).

This endgame bugs the heck out of me. Especially Eggman's relationship with Ridley. That made no sense. Why should we, without being asked if we wanted to do so, get Ridley revived and then also given extremely valuable abilities, and then Eggman doesn't investigate Ridley?

Technically, mister investigator who is building a weapon of AMBIGUOUS doom, telling me things I already know, wears a mustache, and keeps a dinosaur as a pet, YOU'RE the leader of this council of villains. And if what you're saying is true, that anyone could have been recruited, I don't think anyone is a leader anymore. You have cleared me, but that means no one else is cleared anymore. Not even trusty Sasaki.

If Yaropolk blocked Ichigo and there was no additional murder, but no writeup indicating that Yar blocked anyone... I don't trust either one of them. Seems to me the reason Shinseikhaan is still alive is because he got converted when he was hit in the face and it changed colors.

What mafioso would be so daft as to leave our vigilante alive when we had no intention of lynching him? Methinks a conversion explains the lack of additional kills.

Several brave villains, Sephiroth, Ganondorf, and Meta Ridley included, answered the challenge, charging at Kefka from all directions. Meta Ridley shot fireballs from his mouth, which were easily deflected by Kefka towards Sephiroth. The white-haired warrior wasted precious seconds as he blocked them with his sword.

Ganondorf, meanwhile, reared up for a huge punch. As his fist plunged towards Kefka, dark flames appeared around it. Kefka, however, grabbed the King of Evil’s fist with his left hand and flung him backwards over his head. Provided with time caused by the distraction, he turned just in time to meet Sephiroth’s assault.

The Masamune slashed downwards in a vertical strike. What it met, however, was not soft flesh, but rather the jester’s bare hands, holding the thin blade in place on either side. Stuck once again in a deadlock, Sephiroth noticed Kefka’s right shoulder, with two bloody puncture marks in it. The area around them was swollen and gray. Sephiroth pushed further to the right of Kefka, and struggling to withstand the pressure on his weakened side, he released the blade. It veered off, severing Kefka’s right arm from the elbow.

“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! HHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHA! That… hurt. You HURT me! I’ll burn that pretty little face of yours right off!”

With his remaining hand, he seized Sephiroth’s face and hair, and began covering it in flames. Sephiroth roared in agony. Ganondorf, reawakened by the cry, leapt to his feet. He ran to Kefka and unleashed a Warlock Punch into his face, sending him staggering backwards.

Sephiroth lunged towards the stunned Kefka, mercilessly tearing his limbs off with the Masamune. When only his torso and head remained, he shoved the point of the sword straight through Kefka’s laughing, screaming mouth. Turning it over, he wrenched it straight upwards, slicing the rest of Kefka’s face in two.

But Sephiroth did not look much better himself. His face was irreparably scarred by the insane demi-god. Covering his face were hideous third degree burn marks, and his once-clear skin was a sickly gray. His eyes were sunken in, and an unnatural yellowish color. The irises were red. And his hair had been scorched. The once-silver sheen had been reduced to a dull gray in the places where his locks still remained. The tips were tinged soot black.

This passage seems out of place. Not only is Sephiroth the only one still nightkilling, but the host took the time to really describe a "change" in Sephiroth's appearance. Perhaps Kefka drove him absolutely insane with his attack, which caused him traumatic pain.

Perhaps he was posessed by Kefka himself....

Night 8
“AARGHHH! Noone lays eyes on my face and lives to tell the tale! DIE!”

Zant rushed into a mad frenzy, striking at Sephiroth with magically charged fists. Sephiroth, deflecting blows, saw an opening and sidestepped out of the attack. He brought his blade down, severing both of Zant’s hands. The mad king screamed in pain.

“No… you are mistaken. No one who sees MY face will live.”

With that, he sliced Zant’s head off, his red eyes glistening.

The dark mist once again covered Sephiroth’s eyes, and in a moment he had returned to the laboratory. He left the room, his face hidden in the shadows.

Face, face, face face face. Eyes, eyes, head, face.

Come here, Sephiroth, if you don't like your new face I'll remove it for you. Gwar harr harr harr!!!






Night 9Dr. Eggman flew out into the night air through the gaping hole that was created when Dracula was blasted out of the building. From there, he hovered up to the roof.

The two warriors were already there when he arrived. Sephiroth and the Arbiter stared each other down. Each one had a bone to pick with the other; Sephiroth was feeling particularly nasty (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrdOLQvLmew) tonight.

“Hmph. How about you don’t run away tonight when I try to kill you, coward?”

“You know nothing. Why bother to try? You are on my side… and I had no reason to kill you last time, when I saw the chance.”

A wicked grin stretched across Sephiroth’s hideous face.

“Heh… just following orders.”

With that, he rushed without warning towards the Arbiter, drawing his blade. The Arbiter fired his Magnum Pistol twice at the charging swordsman, but he split the bullets with the edge of his sword. Before he could cleave the Elite in two, however, he was pistol-whipped on the forehead.

Taking a step backward, dizzy and growling, Sephiroth prepared again to attack the Arbiter. By now, however, the Arbiter had pulled out his Energy Sword, and was ready to duel.

The two warriors now crossed swords. They both struck at each other at blinding speeds, but no matter what neither could catch the other off guard. Sephiroth wouldn’t be pulled into another deadlock, though, and kept swinging. Finally, he took a wide, head-chopping swing. The Arbiter leapt back to dodge, but he was outranged by the blade’s massive length. He avoided the majority of the blow, but his right shoulder had a mean slice on it.

“And now… you DIE!”

Sephiroth thrust his free hand forward, unleashing a massive energy beam at the Arbiter. Eggman, viewing the fight from a distance, only barely managed to dodge the shot himself, as he was directly opposite Sephiroth at the time.

“Hehehehehe… that got him.”

“Not quite. I got lucky, I suppose.”

Interesting points:

1. Another reference to Dracula... it's like a running subplot. King Cobra was revived by Dracula, King Cobra kit Kefka, Kefka mutilated Sephiroth... and more references to changes in Sephiroth's change in appearance and demeanor.

2. Sephiroth was feeling particularly nasty that night. He also seemed to find it very amusing that he was "just following orders", as if it were all just a ploy that was succeeding.

3. He seems to attack in a more crazed, aggressive, and far less calculated manner than previously.

4. The "DIE" is of particular interest. Kefka almost invariably said "DIE" in all caps.

5. Instead of white, Sephiroth is in Gray.

I think you're right about King Cobra.

And I honestly have no clue how to proceed. My brain has turned to mush and no one is really cleared anymore if people are recruiting still. I would need to get some sleep anyway before I do any heavy thinking, which would probably only confuse me more.

Bottom line, just about any one of you are good lynch targets. I find evidence that Sephiroth has been tampered with, so to speak, by Kefka. I also find that Yaropolk's existence is very odd at this stage of the game. And I never heard of an investigator who can revive.

Well uh, yeah Cobra dude was Big Boss before, Big boss was known as "Snake", king cobra is a big hula-hoopin' snake.

No dracula did not revive me, that was headless knight, and yes Kefka did kill me.

Aside from the OOC PMs i've been talking with Chaotix through there's never been a mention of me being converted, or me being a color change, or anything other then what I was, in the write ups.

I know i'm dead, I want to stay dead, this is a crazy confusing game and I don't want to miff it up, but I don't want to stay dead out of some "oh noes I am teh mafia let me diez", i want to stay dead because I think you guys don't need me and/or are doing a good enough job.

The sad part is, we already investigated you, or so I was told. Even sadder is that everyone alive has been cleared somehow.

1. Pizzaguy- been lynched, vigilante'd, still indestructible because I'm Bowser, King of the Koopas.
2. Sasaki- Role PM was rather explicit that he wasn't a suspect and I was supposed to trust him. So why don't I?
3. Khazaar- seems to have the ability to investigate and was similarly cleared.
4. Shinseikhaan was investigated.
5. Beefy is defending people, and he was dead and would still be dead were it not for my suggestion that Fluffy revive him.
6. Yaropolk... "revived" by our proven innocent investigator, supposed to be able to block and vigilante and defend, but hasn't been in the writeups as doing so lately.
7. Ichigo- was investigated already, but otherwise claims to have no abilities, was sound asleep one night.


This leads me to believe several things:

1. Ichigo has voluntarily elected not to kill anyone, to avoid being detected. (most likely)
2. Yaropolk might have alignment shifted. his role claim is absurd. He isn't killing because he knows he would be a suspect if he did. (more likely)
3. Shinseikhaan is investigation-immune and a serial killer, not a vigilante (doubtful but possible)
4. Beefy alignment shifted due to Dracula turning him into the undead. (doubtful... he seems to be able to defend still.)
5. Khazaar builds the Weapon of Ambiguous Doom thingy and destroys us all now that the heroes and antiheroes are gone, thus fulfilling his lone survivor victory condition... (I'll be pretty ticked off... :laugh2::)
6. Sasaki survives a game for once as a mafioso, and well done because you're due for one. (And I will look at the host like this: :brood:)
7. I've gone completely out of my mind and/or the host forgot to tell me I've been recruited or something, which would have been a good move, you antiheroes. That would also explain why there's been no additional kills, and it would explain why I've been bonked on the head every night for the past several nights. (If this is the correct answer, then I win anyway because you can't kill me, so the game is unfair. And I will still go :brood:)
8. Chaotix must be lynched. :clown:



Sigh... waiting on Eggman's brilliant, infallible investigation result on Yaropolk, I believe it was.

Day 11

The remaining seven villains were surprised the next day to find that only Mewtwo had been killed- and Sephiroth claimed the kill for himself. What was going on, now? Was the final traitor hiding, waiting until there were few enough villains for him to take on by himself? Maybe the Council was just paranoid because of the Arbiter’s cryptic words? Or perhaps there was a more sinister answer…

At the end of the day, the villains had, for the most part, decided that Vaati, the Wind Sorcerer (https://youtube.com/watch?v=fr6azFscfuw), must be the final traitor.

Ganondorf, fueled by his dislike of the other dark forces vying for power in Hyrule, headed the prosecution.

“Heh… do you really think we’re stupid enough to suspect you without evidence? Meta-Ridley stopped you from going anywhere last night. Maybe he stopped you from killing a villain last night!”

“All that blasted space dragon did was interrupt my sleep. When he smashed down the door, I was SLEEPING.”

“Well, you ARE some kinda freaky wind mage, right? Maybe you can kill things in your sleep!”

At this point, Vaati brought his palm to his face.

“OR… perhaps you’re just jealous because I’m so much tougher and manlier than you, elf boy!”

“Gaaah! Don’t you insult my manliness! Just because your voice is about three octaves deeper and-”

“Nyah, nyah, I’ve got a Triforce, and you don’t!”

Vaati lunged at Ganondorf, and was surprisingly able to tackle him to the ground. They began rolling around on the floor, wrestling like two middle-schoolers. Ganondorf, being obviously much more physically powerful, managed to chuck the tenacious wind mage off of him and into the air.

Vaati conjured a small whirlwind and landed on top of it, in mid-air. He drew a small shortsword.

“And now… we duel!”

Ganondorf looked embarrassed now.

“Look, I already said… I forgot my sword, okay?”

“It’s of no consequence to me.”

Riding on the whirlwind, Vaati rushed towards Ganondorf, sword pointed outwards. As he approached, Ganondorf flicked the tiny sword away with his fingers, and grabbed Vaati by the neck with his other hand.

“Hahahaha! Sorry, elf-boy, but there’s only room for one villain in Hyrule!”

“Well, I obviously don’t take up a lot of space, perhaps I could-”

“Shut up.”

Ganondorf pulled back his fist, charging up for the Warlock Punch. As his fist, empowered with evil magic, smashed into Vaati’s face, his head exploded from the sheer force, and splattered blood and brains all over the Council Chamber.

The remaining villains all gave Ganondorf a resounding applause for his flashy finish.

Bowser's plan makes 3 people indestructible, the 1 who is already and 2 who are innocent. And we have an investigation going on my top suspect, I think, and two of the remainders should be busy defending. That just leaves Shinseikhaan, and he has a distinctive murder which doesn't involve a fake identity, so he cannot murder without us lynching him tomorrow.

Frankly, we can do this all day. I'll have myself lynched next round if the results come back inconclusive, which will end in a no lynch situation and the murderer can not murder again, and we can investigate again and again and not lynch over and over until we find you.

Yeah. I have a feeling Eggman turned on us at some point. It fits his character that he would summon us all here to destroy all the heroes and the anti-villains, and then destroy all the rest of us himself with his ambiguous Doom weapon so he could conquer all the universes and there would be no stopping him.

However, I think every last one of you who played this game would find me and lynch me in real life if I called for the head of our investigator who did find bad guys this game, and it turned out that he was on our side all along. And I have reason to believe it is either Shinseikhaan, or someone else who just shouldn't even be here.

You decide to investigate Beefy tonight, and take a small trip down to the control room in your Floating Egg to view the security cameras. You switch them to Beefy’s room, and find:

Beefy is in actuality the Black Knight! He wears a full suit of pitch-black armor, and never even removes his helmet. He’s as evil as can be, and you can certainly trust him. It appears he doesn’t sleep, either. With armor like that and his legendary blade, Alondite, he would be well-suited to defending other villains during the night. It’s odd that he’s not defending someone, actually. Perhaps he has nobody to defend just yet? Either way, observing him stand, motionless, in the middle of his room for three hours straight has made you quite bored, so you hop back in the Floating Egg and return to your own room for some sleep.

N2:

You followed Big Boss’s actions through your security cameras the whole night, but it seems it was those around him who you should be looking for. Unfortunately, you didn’t get a good look at the murderer of Meta-Knight as Big Boss passed by them in the hallway, either. It appears he was trying to do the same as you- investigate and find the traitors.

Additionally, you had the protection of the Black Knight to keep you from harm this night, whether you liked it or not. Fortunately, you weren’t attacked anyway.

N3:

You decide to investigate the room known for some reason as A Very Super Market.

Inside it is the master of Dimensions, Dimentio. However, he does not stay in there for very long. In fact, as you follow him through your cameras, you see him warp into King Dedede’s room. Dimentio then says a few words, and Dedede gets up, in a trance-like state much like the one Shadow the Hedgehog was seen to be in.

Dimentio must be taking control over other villains and using them to do his bidding! As he made Shadow kill himself, he can’t be using these powers to help the Council. He must have an even more evil purpose in mind…

It appears Dimentio is one of the traitors… you must get rid of him immediately.

N4:

You decided to investigate El Diablo this night, before you were rudely interrupted.

He is actually Dr. Wily. He seems to be as much of a whiz with machinery as you are. He's a definite villain, that's for sure, and should you meet an unfortunate end here, you feel confident that he could take over your work. He would make a fine replacement for you. Not that you plan on dying, though...

And also, there's another thing. You're going to see what you can do about Ridley... he would make a fine super android, don't you think? You won't be investigating next night phase, that's for sure... (Metaridley thingy)

N5:

Build Metaridley Khazaar: Will ridley become my super awesome power poketmonster?
Chaotix: That remains to be seen... Ridley is a special case, and with some mechanical retooling he could indeed be very powerful.

Tonight, you decide to use the surveillance cameras to investigate the room marked "Olavi".

Inside, you find Mewtwo. Mewtwo is definitely a villain, and definitely on your side. However, because of his powerful mind, he does believe he has a better grasp on the situation than most villains, and he can use it to influence a lynch in his favor if he wants. Mewtwo can use his confusion ability to mess with the other villains' minds, and manipulate what they perceive the tally of votes to be. So far, he has not seen the need to try it, but you may want to look out for any tricks. Of course, you may also be able to use it to your own advantage, if you speak to him about it.

N7:

Investigated LittleGrizzly, result in the Writeup...

Cameras destroyed, Chaotix info for me:
The power has been shorted out in the laboratory, but this does not mean you are done investigating. Rather, you can still do this, you must just take a different approach. Investigating villains in person will be just as effective as it is through surveillance- however, it puts an increasing threat on your life.

Now, if you are caught in a chain of actions with a killer while investigating, there is a risk to your life as well, even if you are not targeted. If you investigate someone who is also being attacked, you run the risk of being killed. If you manage to investigate the mafia, there is also a chance you will be killed.

N8:

Tonight, you had to find a different way of continuing your investigation, because all of the computers had been shut down. Luckily, the Floating Egg was still running, and you used it to float over to Bowser's room and save yourself from the exercise of walking. The Headless Knight also followed and protected you on your way.

Once inside, you found Bowser was out cold, knocked unconscious by Kefka's attack. But you already knew this, and that wasn't what you were here for. Instead, you look to the other bed, and find Bowser Jr.

It appears that he takes after his father. He's a genuine villain, and wishes only for the suffering of the mushroom kingdom. He'll make a fine, plumber-smashing, princess-kidnapping Koopa King some day. But right now, he's still pretty weak. He's usually under Bowser's protection, but on nights like this where Bowser is injured, he isn't assured safety any more. Bowser would certainly be angry if someone were to kill the little brat while he was unconscious...

Sephiroth seemed to be the same as he usually was was hunting his prey... he was a bit more malicious than usual, but perhaps this was only due to his scarred face, and the bitterness it had brought him. Either way, you can't get much more bitter and malicious than Sephiroth. He also failed to kill the Arbiter, now for the second time. Perhaps he's losing his touch? Or maybe it's the Arbiter, and not him...

Either way, tonight was an interesting night, to be sure- you're lucky you survived it, too. At this rate, you can probably predict a one out of four chance of being caught in the crossfire the next time this happens.

Night is over, because I already have all the night actions, but I don't have the write-up, or any will to do it late at night like this. I'll have the write-up done in the morning, and then we can get this game running again.

Night 11

The night was quiet… there was no movement in the halls, no violent noise, and nobody dead when morning came.

The six remaining villains were surprised at the apparent lack of a dead body. Either there was no traitor left at all, and the Arbiter had been bluffing… or he was simply hiding his true nature… waiting for a chance to strike.

These six villains (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fuYq_n2-1w) were probably the most powerful of all that were in the original Council. Perhaps there were a few toppled powerhouses… but all six of these were a force to be reckoned with, and would make a difficult enemy to overcome.

Bowser, the Koopa King, the kidnapper of princesses and the terror of the Mushroom Kingdom. He had become the major dominating force of the Council, and his word was met with nearly immediate obedience whenever he spoke. Could he have been controlling the villains this whole time for his own means?

Dr. Eggman, the great and mad scientist who brought the Council of Villains together with his magnificent machines. He is the inspiration behind the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom. Perhaps his intentions never were to work with the villains, but instead to destroy them and add their power to his own?

Ganondorf, the King of All Evil, and the great darkness that plagues Hyrule every century. He has been a staunch ally of Eggman and Bowser since the beginning, but on occasion they do not see eye to eye. Could Ganondorf be secretly plotting to kill the two, and take the dark power all for himself?

Sephiroth, the proud, extremely powerful warrior, who kills without a second thought. He was once beautiful as well, with pure skin, silvery white hair, and piercing eyes. Now, due to his presence in the Council, he has been irrevocably scarred. Might he want revenge on everyone who brought Kefka’s guilt into the light, and so caused his disfiguration?

Meta-Ridley, the fierce and cruel cyborg-pirate-space-dragon, who terrorizes the galaxy. He was once made only out of organic tissue, but after his death his body was retooled by Dr. Eggman, and he was brought back to life with a newfound power. Maybe his mechanical body has driven him to insanity?

The Headless Knight, an abomination of nature created by the fiendish Dracula. Once known as the Black Knight, and perhaps the weakest link of the six villains, he has lost his head, literally… and potentially mentally as well. Could it be that his revival as an undead has given him a certain hunger for brains?

The six villains stared at each other, each cautious of the others. The traitor could be any one of them… but they did not know who.

There are 4 people confirmed innocent. That would make Beefy and Yaropolk both guilty. And that means they could have both targeted their chosen defendee last night and it would have been 2 versus 2 with a mafia win. And if Sephiroth is investigation immune, that means he still could have targeted someone last night.

I recommend, if the results came back inconclusive on Yaropolk, we do a final investigation on Beefy and then we take our chances and lynch someone.

These are all sorts of clarifications that I sent to ATPG via pm when he asked. I think it would be unfair not to let everyone else playing the game know these- they could be working under false assumptions. Here they are: most of ATPG's words have been taken out as requested, only the parts that I directly answer are included for reference.


I'm going to say that, by the rules, it is possible for mafia to be revived, and for townies to change sides. The two events could coincide with each other. However, that is not at all necessarily the case.



1. Our investigator has been able to find heroes and serial killers, and the host confirmed we should be able to trust him. So Khazaar should be cleared.
4. Shinseikhaan was cleared via investigation by someone who was cleared by the host. Though you did day his investigation was weaker somehow, but still... infallible?
5. Beefy has been defending Khazaar in the writeups.
6. Meta-Ridley hasn't done what I asked, apparently, because it's NOT in the writeups.
7. Ichigo was investigated already. He wasn't doing anything that night but sleeping, apparently.


I have said that Eggman's investigations are infallible. They are, but I'm going to define "infallible" in the context that I use it. Everything I mention in his investigation results is true. However, that doesn't mean the way that one would interpret them is true. In other words, you cannot assume things are true based on the wording of the write-up. You can only take what is explicitly stated to be true.



WHY would our "investigator" revive anyone?

Do not think of it as "Eggman revived someone". Rather, you can think of Meta-Ridley's rebuilding as a "story event" that can take place only if the character(s) that would have the skills necessary to rebuild him are still alive.



Yaropolk's Meta-Ridley hasn't been in the writeups blocking or defending anyone for several nights.


Meta-Ridley isn't featured blocking, as he claims, and as is the case with all of my write-ups (I hope there aren't exceptions), because his claimed actions are not connected in the "chain of Night Actions" to a kill.

If Eggman is a hero
Then he would fake the investigation report and toss it up for the lynch.

Also, the fact that theres been no kill is just really strange. Clearly given enough time, Eggman can just investigate everysingle one of us.

So either the remaining hero doesn't know that they are a hero (Meta Ridley is cleared.. Which leaves me if there has been a allignment change), or one of the cleared innocent (Eggman, Ganondolf, Bowser) is guilty, as they can benefit from the wait.

That doesn't clear Shinseikhaan anyway. It's been confirmed that alignments can shift in this game, and that's precisely why I wanted to know for sure that Sasaki and Khazaar were absolutely unable to alignment shift. Same here. If Sephiroth cannot kill me and I can't be lynched or murdered, then I have to be on the town's side.

That leaves Khaan, who was clearly affected by being burnt to a crisp by the maniac Kefka. I think his alignment shifted then, and in a way that our investigator couldn't detect because he doesn't get guilty or innocent results, he gets descriptive results which can sometimes be vague.

Also iirc, Kirby had the ability to disguise at someone else and kill. Either that or Kefka was controlling Shadow the Hedgehogs corpses..So theres a good chance the Hedgehog killer is already dead.

You are Dr. Eggman, the arch-enemy of Sonic the Hedgehog, and the main villain of his series.

In your great genius, you have called together villains from all the different universes, using your Dimensional Scrambler. Bowser and Ganondorf have joined you as leaders of the Council. You know that you can trust both of them completely; there is no chance that they are traitors to the Council.
With their help, you will create the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom, and be able to destroy Sonic and create the ultimate Eggman Empire! You must defeat the saboteurs who are meddling with your plans.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

Your special ability is this: All of the villains are now living in the quarters of your massive laboratory and robot factory. Thus, they are subject to the security systems in place there. Every night, you may investigate the actions of one villain and figure out his objective. Should you find one of the saboteurs, it will be up to you to convince the other villains of his guiltiness.

The intruders must not be allowed to foil your plans. Sonic must be defeated!

Also, to gain more information, can you all please post your nightactions since N1 and the result you got from Chaotix. This will help us verify with the information available.

If the enemy from the three main villains (Ganondolf, Eggman and Bowser) exists then that means Link, Sonic and Mario. Since none of them are in the game (Except Luigi instead of Mario) I highly doubt Sonic.

Meta-Ridley's PM seems odd to me, yet it seems right too... Obviously I can't repost my revive PM because I deleted it, and it's against the rules.

Mine went pretty simmilarly, but said nothing about my allignment or a "Vendetta", and I died pretty messed up too, BOTH times...

Indeed. It said he was more malicious than usual, and it keeps making references to his scarred, burnt face.

It's a running theme. When he was originally attacked by Kefka, he was scarred and burnt and his face turned several colors... yellow, red, gray... and those are ALL Kefka's colors. His attitude and demeanor changed. His investigation result didn't say specifically that he was a loyal villain. Several others have done so.

In every writeup involving Sephiroth, the host continues to reference his face and his attitude. These are subtle clues, but they are consistent. And with a psychotic God like Kefka, you can bet just being touched by that maniac will mess up your brain forever, if not allow him to possess your body.

The only other person who must be checked is Beefy who Yaropolk can block.

Sephiroth seemed to be the same as he usually was was hunting his prey... he was a bit more malicious than usual, but perhaps this was only due to his scarred face, and the bitterness it had brought him. Either way, you can't get much more bitter and malicious than Sephiroth. He also failed to kill the Arbiter, now for the second time. Perhaps he's losing his touch? Or maybe it's the Arbiter, and not him...

I agree, with the game plan of blocking and investigating Beefy, this way you should have 3 players in the write up - Beefy, Khazaar, Yaropolk. I also think that the rules say that you can't have a no lynch, and with the changes in Khaan, I sorry my friend, it is time for you to go, to make sure that he wasn't changed by Kefka. I think the last time he was investigated it was before Kefka, but not sure.

If that doesn't end the game, then something is wrong with Khazaar, or Sasaki, and the Role PM's were wrong. Then we lynch Chaotix, because this will be more then just a twist in the game. :dizzy2:

Yes, but remember... the one who scarred you is dead. Or has he found a new shell to hide in? The thing is, Sephiroth, that you were one of the only villains I was willing to treat as an equal, because you were nearly as badass as me. And you killed countless foolish anti-heroes and other foolish weaklings... gwar harr harr... you made a Koopa King proud. A couple of slip ups, yes I could tolerate. And you were willing to follow orders, too... like any good Trooper should.

But I know you. You deserve more than to be someone's lackey. I know you must resent cooperating with the Koopa Troop. I know you value your independence and your looks... Bowser is a pretty handsome fellow himself. The thought of losing your looks... and answering to the will of the Koopa Troop and the orders of your Koopa Commander... being tormented by Kefka... I doubt that is a tolerable situation for you. The evil villain that is Sephiroth is gone; replaced by something far more twisted, malicious, and far more evil. Ordinarily I'd say that's a good thing, BWAHAHAHA... but I have a feeling that you now seek power all for yourself... and you seek vengeance upon your former allies for treating you the same... not acknowledging your truly superior battle skills, and your breathtaking beauty. Oh yes, the hate is swelling in you now. I can feel your anger; it gives you focus, makes you stronger.

I asked for Khaan to be investigated very shortly after the Kefka incident and I even came forward like a week or more ago with evidence he was messed up by Kefka, and I was pretty much alone on that one. So if I am right, it did not take me long to figure it out. Likewise, if I am wrong, I seriously gotta wonder what this whole side story about his face was about... Definitely a team game, for sure, but if it was Khaan, then I saw something in the investigation results that slipped by the investigator himself, and I put the clues together and presented a case.

Just give Bowser his due... and this ace up our sleeve nonsense? Goomba droppings! If there were two of them, then they could have won already. Sephiroth could have killed one of the defenders, and one of the defenders could have killed the person he was defending, or if it were one of the defendees, they could have killed their defenders, and it would have been 2 versus 2 and an auto-win for your side.

So... lying much? Oh Kefka... wasn't I the one who put the clues together against you, too? Oh, and by the hair on my shlinny shlin shlin... I think I fingered you as well. There's just an aura of death around me this game. Don't mess with Bowser. :devil: Though I must say Khaan's excellent vigilante kills took out like most of the anti-heroes in this game, and no single player did a better job than him in that regard. Yes. I am equal parts brilliant and stupid. I tell you, I'm right 50% of the time, and horribly, horribly wrong the other half of the time. That's why we have to have Sasaki, because Sasaki is right the other half of the time.

Yes, LG, I did put the clues together on Kefka. It wasn't hard, you're correct. Especially when your character is obsessed with burning people. When Khaan passed the investigation without a clear firm "guilty" result I still took the time to ask Khazaar to show it to me so I could read it, and picked out all the clues that flowed from your death to his transformation, etc, and that was actual detective work. So poop all over my efforts, but they weren't bad. :bow: Neither was the efforts from the rest of our team, because it takes a very strange mind to trust the pizzaguy.

PS- Sasaki you did declare war on me, despite the fact that we're masons. :tongue2:

The six villains continued to stare, in a six-way standoff. They knew that any one of them could have been the traitor, and they were all ready to respond should one suddenly attack another, in a chance to take a surprise advantage and wipe them all out.

Meanwhile (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uae554l3pE), in Bowser’s pea-sized brain, thoughts began stirring, amazingly. He began to reason, somehow, and this reasoning started to lead him, unbelievably, to conclusions. After forming the conclusions, he used his newfound ability to think to make sense of the conclusions. And finally, he believed he knew who the traitor was…

“GWAHAHAHAHAR!!! I know who the traitor is now! It’s Sephiroth! He’s the only one who was still killing! We thought he was our friend this whole time, but really, he’s just out for himself! Let’s tear him to shreds!”

Sephiroth, with a puzzled and annoyed look on his hideous face, responded to the Koopa’s sudden outburst.

“Hahahaha… interesting that you say that, Bowser. You know that I have assisted with the killing of every single traitor this Council has caught so far. I nearly wiped out the ‘Guild of Antiheroes’ before we even knew they existed. Did you forget? I suffered terrible injuries trying to destroy that mad fool Kefka for you. The only villains I killed at all were the ones YOU, specifically, told me to. And you believe I have betrayed the Villains?”

Dr. Eggman spoke up now.

“It’s over, Sephiroth. We know what you’ve been up to. You weren’t killing because we told you to, you were doing it because you wanted to. You’re a traitor in MY Council, and you were working right under my nose! Now you’ll find out what happens to disobedient subordinates: They are DESTROYED!”

“Ah, but that’s where you’re wrong, you poor fool. You idiots actually thought I was your subordinate? Someone you could order around to do your dirty work for you? Did you think I would stoop as low as to take orders from imbeciles such as you? I am vastly more powerful than every single one of you. I could have killed you all from the beginning, if I wished. But I didn’t. No, I let you live.

“And why do think that was? I thought, for the most part, that you showed promise, for a bunch of weaklings. I thought I might help you out with your idiotic little traitor problem, so that you could get on with your Super Weapon scheme, and all possibly become as powerful as me. Then I would have equals in this world at last.

“And I soon found, that there already were equals of mine, gathered here in this laboratory. First, it was Dimentio. His power was nowhere near as great as mine, but his scheme… his plot to destroy the world, and to create his on the ruins and rubble… it was brilliant. He had a mind to match my own. He knew how to lie, cheat, deceive, and manipulate his way to victory. It was a tragedy his game had to be cut short, by the sheer chance of an investigation.

“Next was Kefka. He was insane. An utter fool. He laughed while the laboratory burned. But his power… he was a god, there was no doubt. However he gained it, his godly strength made him so powerful I was unsure if even I could surpass him. But I did… I managed to defeat him, but only with the help of you idiots, and as a result, my face… my beautiful face… LOOK AT WHAT HE HAS DONE TO MY BEAUTIFUL FACE!!!”

Sephiroth was now visibly shaking with rage.

“And you infantile villains still realized nothing. You had seen fit to order me around like a common hired sword, and I went along with it, only amused at your childish senses of self-importance. Now, you continued to treat me like your personal killing machine. I have now seen the importance of Dimentio’s and Kefka’s words… however mad they were, they had a point. You are not true villains; you are all whining, nagging children who are dressed up as them! The real “villains” are the ones who kill everything in their path and never look back, who use their allies to gain power and then backstab them once they are strong enough. I am one of those real villains. I will kill you, all five of you, without a second thought. I will use your idiotic wishing machine to turn my body back to its rightful self, so that I may be all the more evil. I will be the single terror that rules the universe.

I… AM… SEPHIROTH!

Sephiroth, holding one hand out, fired an enormous energy beam at the wall of the Council Chambers, smashing a huge hole into it. The he dashed with great speed through it. The five remaining villains rushed after him, but they couldn’t keep up.

Several holes in the wall later, the villains came to the Main Chamber. In the center of the room was the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom, all but complete at this point. Sephiroth stood on the Receiver Platform. He had set the finished machine to “Empower”, and flipped the switches already. As the villains prepared to assault him, the energy ray fired. A blinding light obscured the villains’ vision.

When the villains could see again, they were greeted by an evil laugh.

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! AT LAST… I AM… PERFECT (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpkeAQG6kQw)!”

Sephiroth, using his new wings, sped over to the Headless Knight, shining Masamune in his hand. The two warriors crossed swords and began to fight, each striking blows that would shatter the opponent’s sword, if they weren’t both sacred and unbreakable.

Sephiroth was clearly the faster of the two, however, and the Headless Knight was only struggling to keep up. At one point Sephiroth caught the Knight in a deadlock.

“Come on… is that really the best you can do? You’re more pathetic than I thought.”

Sephiroth, swift as lightning, slid his blade out of the deadlock and under the Knight’s sword, easily slicing through both of his wrists. In a single circular motion, he removed all of the Knight’s limbs. He was now an Armless and Legless Knight, too.

“Hmph. Shall we call it a draw, then? No, I don’t think so. I prefer you dead, limbless freak.”

Sephiroth then swung his blade, cleaving the Knight in half, and leaving a perfectly symmetrical arrangement of body parts strewn in the bloody puddle. From behind, Sephiroth was given an unnecessary warning from the next challenger.

“SCCRRRRREEEEEEEEECCHHRRROOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRR!!”

Sephiroth grinned and backflipped, planting a devastating kick on Meta-Ridley’s face at the crux of his jump. Before he hit the ground, his wings launched him further into the air, and he began wrestling with the space dragon in an aerial battle.

The winged warrior zipped around the lumbering Meta-Ridley, deflecting fireball, talon, and razor-tail alike with only his bare hands. As soon as he gained an opening, Sephiroth seized the dragon by the neck, flinging him into one of the walls. As Meta-Ridley smashed into the wall, a small chunk of armor fell from his chest. He did not notice it, but this for some reason fragile piece of armor had been guarding his exposed heart.

The heart, beating and glowing like a target, quickly attracted Sephiroth’s eye. He held out both of his hands, and began charging an energy beam. Releasing it, it struck Meta-Ridley straight on the target. The huge blast tore through the cyborg-dragon’s heart, destroying the source of his life.

Lifeless, Meta-Ridley dropped ungracefully to the floor, smashing into a steaming heap of metal and bone.

Now Sephiroth turned his cruel eyes on Ganondorf.

“Heh heh heh… now it’s your turn, “King of All Evil”.”

“Hmph. Try as you might, but I have the Triforce on my side. My strength is much greater than those of the last two. You will regret ever betraying us.”

Dark power (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6doJ0ErfSHg) surged around Ganondorf, and he rose into the air as easily as Sephiroth had, despite his considerable bulk. His fists glowing with evil magic, he rushed towards Sephiroth.

The sheer force of Ganondorf’s charge plunged them both into a wall, smashing them through to the other side. From there, Ganondorf delivered a crushing blow and sent Sephiroth spiraling toward the ground.

Eggman and Bowser hurried through the hole on the floor level to continue watching the fight. Ganondorf dropped to the floor to continue dueling Sephiroth. Sephiroth drew his blade again, smiling.

“GRAAAAAW! That’s it, I’m tired of these swordfights that I can’t participate in!”

Ganondorf used his magic to create himself a sword out of pure evil. He now struck at Sephiroth, with surprising agility. The two fought it out for a few minutes, neither able to touch the other. Ganondorf seemed to have Sephiroth on the ropes more than a few times, when finally he managed to knock the blade out of his hands.

“A pity. And you had such potential, too. Poor fool, did you really think I was even trying through that whole fight?”

“Wh-What?”

“Your swordplay’s grown rusty without practice.”

Sephiroth grabbed Ganondorf’s makeshift blade by the edge, forcibly wrenching it out of his hands. The he flipped it, grabbed the handle, and plunged the blade downward through Ganondorf’s skull and out under his jaw. Ganondorf uttered a painful groan as he was transformed into stone through the act.

Sephiroth turned to look at the two surviving villains. He was about to say, “Who’s next?” but was cut off by Dr. Eggman (https://youtube.com/watch?v=ClP-QrRsRvo), already seated in his gigantic battle mech, the Egg Dragoon.

“Bring it on! Have a load of this!”

One arm of the mech, with a gatling gun attached, began firing a steady stream of energy blasts at Sephiroth. All Sephiroth could see, however, was the flashing blue spot on the front of the robot.

“… Do you make your robots this easy to destroy on purpose, or it it just that you’re too stupid to realize it?”

“Realize what?”

Sephiroth rushed up to the blue spot before Eggman could stop him with the drill-arm of his mech. He punched the machine in the supposed weak spot, and suddenly the whole thing exploded and fell to pieces. Eggman, popping out of the Dragoon in his Floating Egg, attempted to fly away. Sephiroth wasn’t about to let him.

“No wonder you always lose.”

With a backhanded slap, Sephiroth snapped Eggman’s neck. With no one driving the Floating Egg, it fell quickly to the ground with Eggman’s body in it. Sephiroth dropped to the ground as well.

Sephiroth glanced over at Bowser, standing in front of the Super Vague Weapon. This would be the final fight… the Final Fantasy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4__pHX_V6Y).

“RRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRR!”

Bowser exploded with rage.

“That’s it! You think you’re tough, pretty boy? You haven’t seen tough until you’ve faced 1500 pounds of pure plumber-crushing meanness. I eat Yoshis for breakfast and Toads for lunch! You think you can beat me? Huh? I’ll chew you up and spit you back out, char-broiled and looking worse than when Kefka burned your disgusting face off!”

Sephiroth was silent, but a wide grin crossed his face. He lunged towards the Koopa King, sword raised.

Sephiroth began swinging his blade, but Bowser managed to deflect it with his razor-sharp claws. Spitting fireballs all the time, Bowser was successfully keeping Sephiroth at bay. At some points Sephiroth managed to strike Bowser, but the blows would glance harmlessly off of his shell. It seemed that the white warrior may have finally met his match.

Sephiroth stopped fighting, hopped backwards, and held out one of his hands, ready to fire an energy beam. As soon as he released it, Bowser slid into his shell, attempting to deflect the attack.

“…Perfect.”

Sephiroth released the attack, blasting the shell and sending it spinning into the wall. When it was knocked back, the warrior readied himself… and then kicked the shell with all his might. It spun off, slowing down, and Bowser was thrown out of his own shell, dizzied.

The Koopa King quickly recovered, but was unable to slip back into his shell before Sephiroth closed in on him.

“And this, Bowser, makes five dead villains today, and one victorious Sephiroth. Goodbye.”

Sephiroth lunged with his sword, plunging it straight through Bowser’s soft underbelly. Kicking the King off his blade, he began to walk away.

Bowser dared not make a sound. He was in terrible pain, and the wound that Sephiroth had inflicted might kill him within the hour. For now, he still had time. Sephiroth was reveling in his own strength… if he could only…

He reached the control panel of the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom, crawling along the floor. Finding the mode switch, he changed it from “Empower” to "Destroy". Now, using the only means he could, he smashed his head on the fire button and hoped for the best.

Sephiroth barely had time to realize what was going on. He turned, hearing electrical whirring, only to see the so-called Super Weapon readying to fire again. It remained set to the same target it had last time. The energy cannon fired, this time a huge, searing laser beam instead of energizing radio-waves. Sephiroth was disintegrated, pretty face, wings, and all, before he could let out a scream.

“Now… make it heal ‘em… all of ‘em… bring them back to life…”

Bowser smashed his head on the control panel a few more times. Somehow, this miracle machine seemed to understand him, although it’s doubtful it enjoyed the head-bashing.

On the screen showed a question.

“SET SUPER VAGUE WEAPON TO ‘HEAL ALL VILLAINS’? Y/N”

After struggling to find the ‘Y’ key on the keyboard, Bowser agreed.

Just two days later (http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/135217), all of the villains (without Kefka, Dimentio, Sephiroth, and the Antiheroes, of course) were ready to fire up the machine for the final time. This would grant each and every one of them their greatest desire: to rule their worlds, to destroy their galaxies, even to drive the fastest high-speed racing cars. But each and every villain would get his wish, and be sent back to his own dimension.

Dr. Eggman, Ganondorf, and Bowser would stay in touch, of course- Eggman sent with each of them a powerful AI-based robot, to help set up an inter-dimensional communications post.

BOWSER was finally able to defeat the remaining Mario brother, and all of his stupid friends. He kidnapped Princess Peach, this time for good, and made himself King of the Mushroom Kingdom. He uses the Toads as his own personal footstools when he is not making mushroom sandwiches out of them for lunch. Still, there are rumors of Mario still living underground, in the pipe systems… every time he appears, he is promptly trounced.

DR. EGGMAN exacted his revenge on Sonic the Hedgehog, killing him and every one of his little animal friends. He has learned a valuable lesson in not placing glowing targets on his giant battle robots, and this has made him all the more powerful. He rules over the Earth of his dimension with an iron fist, and has created an Eggman Empire of robots and machinery.

GANONDORF killed that stupid Link kid and wiped out his hero lineage once and for all. He took the Triforce of Wisdom from Zelda as well, and killed her, having no use for her any longer. Now, with all three pieces of the Triforce, he literally rains terror over Hyrule. He has made his world a sadistic plaything, and all the people are his ants to step on.

META-RIDLEY continually terrorizes the galaxy again and again. His force of Space Pirates has toppled the Galactic Federation, and Samus Aran has nearly been killed by him on several occasions. While she just barely manages to survive, the winged terror will finish her off one of these days… and if he doesn’t, she’s bound to run out of oxygen someday, anyway.

THE BLACK KNIGHT finally regained the use of both his limbs and his head. His armor is now truly impenetrable to any sword, and he has used this strength to make himself the King of all of Tellius. He has defeated and killed Ike of the Greil Mercenaries, toppled the Begnion Empire, and even crushed the Dragons of Goldoa. He is truly an unstoppable force.

ALL OF THE OTHER VILLAINS achieved their greatest wishes as well, in their own dimensions. But they weren’t alive at the final lynch so the host says they don’t get a little victory message of their own, because he doesn’t have nearly enough time to do that.

We couldn't have done anything at all without those investigators and pro-town roles. Give Sasaki a lot of credit for being righter, and sooner, than I was on many of those. And I seriously believe without those investigators, defenders, revivers... we would have gotten clobbered. I may have been a valued player (finally... my shame is over...) but I would have been absolutely lost without this team. I get a piece of the pie, but that pie gets divided up between a LOT of good players. And I was wrong as often as I was right. :sweatdrop:

Anyone in your role, I predict, would have either stuck to the original mason group of Eggman, Bowser, Ganondorf and distrusted everyone else, or they would have not even used that group. You managed to perfect the townie group, given the right position.

The game would have been a little bit harder without Diana being invulnerable as long as I could help her, and it would have been harder without the main bad guys being masons together. Without those add-ons, I believe the game could have been fully balanced.

I kept on considering both of them as suspects, as you well know... I was almost convinced one of them had betrayed us.

Chaotix- Seriously nice game. I liked the writeups a lot, I liked having the pictures and complementary music. Lots of roles, to be handed out, you did a phenomonal job of coordinating all this. 2,000 plus posts gives a very nice indicator of a well enjoyed game. My only complaint: setting up an invulnerable bowser with essentially 3 other roles- Diana, Sasaki, and Khaazar- made it pretty darn hard in the end to convince people of potential guilt. Other than that, a wonderful game. :2thumbsup:

edit: And to be completely honest folks, I had never even heard of Sephiroth before this game. Never once played a single final fantasy game.

I totally agree! The ones that never showed up made it confusing for the rest of us. Having to replace them with new players, and players that had "died" it was hard to keep the characters straight.

What flak I and Yaropolk had to take for the revive that wasn´t even my decision. Khaan you nearly managed to break the Mason group but your accusation showed you as too aggressive, doesn´t matter becasue you got to kill plenty of people personally, that must have been great fun...

I think what tipped the balance in our favor is the organization of the nework. By sheer luck I managed to investigate myself a defender during N1, Beefy stood by me to the end, many thanks for that. :bow:

ATPG´s network gave me the ability to investigate in secret without having to worry about getting lynched by day. That is one of the reasons why I was never targetet for lynch and only once been targetet by the heroes. :bow:

I like themed Mafiagames. Although the whole thing got more bloody than our host had announced. :wink:

What does that evidence conclude? Bowser is green and tan, or orange depending on your view, and you were correct that he doesn't really have green skin except for half of his face. I believe at the time I was perfectly willing to be lynched, so I didn't really care if you did.

Given how unbalanced the game seemed at the time, (we didn't know about the antiheroes) and how powerful the pro-town clique was, I figured it was the only way you had to keep the game balanced. You are Bowser, the King of the Koopa, and the main villain from the Mario series.

You have joined Dr. Eggman and Ganondorf as the leaders of the Council of Villains, because creating the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom will allow you to finally defeat Mario, kidnap Princess Peach, and claim your rightful place as the King of the Mushroom Kingdom. You know that you can trust both of them completely; there is no chance that they are traitors to the Council.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

Your special ability is this: Due to your huge physique and tough, spine-covered shell, you can survive nearly any attack. This makes you Invulnerable to any attack, whether it be lynch, murder, or vigilante kill. However, such power comes at a price- the price of utter stupidity. In order to keep your invincibility, you must make it clear, through words, gestures, or exclamations, such as “RAWR” or “Gwahahar!” that you are Bowser in every single post you make. Should you fail to do this, your invincibility will be lost.

Good luck, Bowser, and smash all those who would oppose you to tiny bits.

Yes, Bowser was completely invincible as long as he remained in character. He was really the centerpiece of the pro-town group. ATPG handled the role masterfully, but here was what I had in mind- it could remain unknown that Eggman was the investigator for the whole game, because Bowser and Eggman knew each other to be innocent. Instead, Bowser could be used to give the results of investigations, particularly those that came with guilty results. ATPG turned the original three-person town group into one that comprised of every villain with an ability, which greatly magnified its effectiveness. I’m confident that, without ATPG in this role, the town would have had a much harder time winning. For that reason, it feels a little unfair because I offered the role specifically to him, unknowing how effectively he would use it.

Warman/Sasaki:


You are Ganondorf, the King of All Evil, and the main villain of the Legend of Zelda series.

You have joined Dr. Eggman and Bowser as the leaders of the Council of Villains, because creating the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom will allow you to finally conquer the newest incarnations of Link and Zelda. Only then will you control all 3 pieces of the Triforce, allowing you begin your reign of terror over Hyrule. You know that you can trust both Bowser and Eggman completely; there is no chance that they are traitors to the Council.

Your special ability is this: Your great, dark powers have made you known to some as the King of All Evil, and thus you have great influence over the other villains. Veiled threats to those who oppose have given each vote that you make the influence of two votes. This is not to say that you can vote for two different people, but only that your one vote will count as two in the tally, allowing you to decide lynches in some cases. Your allies will not be aware of your power at first, and may be suspicious of you at first. If you manage to be well informed, you could be a great asset to the Council.

Go, Ganondorf, and crush all who oppose the Council.

This role was actually meant to be a lot more useful than it turned out to be in the game, largely because of ATPG’s power-hold over the town. Ganondorf was the second of the pro-town group. His purpose was this: in the event that the detective results, once revealed, were not really believed, Ganondorf was there to make sure the traitors got lynched. All three of them voting for a guilty villain would bring it up to a 4-vote bloc that the mafia would somehow have to overcome. With the sheer popularity of ATPG’s lynch choices, this power wound up being largely overlooked.

Khazaar:


You are Dr. Eggman, the arch-enemy of Sonic the Hedgehog, and the main villain of his series.

In your great genius, you have called together villains from all the different universes, using your Dimensional Scrambler. Bowser and Ganondorf have joined you as leaders of the Council. You know that you can trust both of them completely; there is no chance that they are traitors to the Council.
With their help, you will create the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom, and be able to destroy Sonic and create the ultimate Eggman Empire! You must defeat the saboteurs who are meddling with your plans.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

Your special ability is this: All of the villains are now living in the quarters of your massive laboratory and robot factory. Thus, they are subject to the security systems in place there. Every night, you may investigate the actions of one villain and figure out his objective. Should you find one of the saboteurs, it will be up to you to convince the other villains of his guiltiness.

The intruders must not be allowed to foil your plans. Sonic must be defeated!

This role, Eggman, was the pinnacle of the pro-town group, as well as the Council of Villains itself. If the town were to lose Eggman (which they never did, surprisingly), they would lose their only fully trustable investigator- and the most useful one, too. Khazaar did a good job in finding the mafia with his investigations, although he didn’t catch on that he could just tell ATPG the results until after he detective revealed. Still, he managed to find the defender, Beefy, on the first night, which helped him immensely in staying alive. After the death of Kefka, I weakened him, but not his investigations. He was vulnerable to dying during an investigation, even if he was not targeted. He only had to be in the chain of actions with a traitor for the death chance to occur- so if he investigated a killing mafia, or the person being killed, he had a risk of death. For the investigation on ‘khaan, to give him a fair chance of winning, I did not explicitly state his innocence or guiltiness as I did with every other investigation.

BLECK! You are Count Bleck, the villain of the game Super Paper Mario.

In order to destroy the curiously 2-Dimensional world that you live in, and defeat Mario, you’ve realized that you’re going to need help from this Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom. Thus, you’re going to have to help find the traitors who are trying to kill you.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

In addition to helping the Council, you seem to have a speech impediment of sorts. Every post you make must contain the word “Bleck” in it, which is usually followed by an exclamation point. You also tend to refer to yourself in the third person.

Go now, and stamp out anyone who resists the might of Count Bleck!

Count Bleck was one of the standard villain roles, but had a forced roleplay element, to make the game more interesting/funny/annoying. I believe Lord Winter did say “Bleck” in just about every post he made, so he fulfilled the conditions well, and played a good game until he was killed off. I was well aware that there were some people who would be more into the game and less into roleplaying, so it was fine that LW wasn’t particularly enthusiastic; that’s what I had Ares and Fawful for. And speaking of Fawful…

Ares (or Thermal Mercury now):


YOU HAVE FURY! You are Fawful, the hilariously incompetent henchman from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and now also the main villain of third game in the series, as of yet not released in the West.

You have been sent by your mistress Cackletta to find a different way to conquer the Beanbean Kingdom, as the fink-rats Mario and that Green Guy foiled your plans. With your trusty headgear in tow, you have decided to help the idiots of foolishness that are the Council of Villains.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

Indeed, the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom will be the bread that makes the sandwich of your desires. But this is what will be the mustard on that sandwich: in all of your posts, you must roleplay as Fawful and speak using his mannerisms. If you haven’t played the game or would like to refresh yourself on his quotes, a simple Google search will show you all you need to know.

Now go, and show those fink-rat traitors your might, that shines like many angry sunbeams of rage!

Fawful was another role that I offered to a specific player; in this case, Ares. I was clear when I offered them the special roles that they weren’t going to be mafia- in fact, the reason for these was purely the roleplay potential I saw in players. As for Ares, I knew from the beginning that Fawful would be a perfect fit, and I was glad when he accepted. His insane ranting throughout the game until his death was hilarious, and really livened up the game. As with ATPG, Ares went above and beyond the call of duty in his roleplaying.


Reenk Roink:


BOO! You are King Boo, the spookiest ghost around and the villain of Luigi’s Mansion.

This Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom is the best thing that’s happened to you since you died! Now you can have revenge on the Mario brothers, especially the green one (along with around half of the other villains on the Council). You must do everything you can to ensure the saboteurs are caught and taken care of.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

Due to your… transparent properties, you can lend yourself as an excellent spy for the Council. Every other night, starting on the first night, you may sneak into a villain’s quarters and investigate their actions for the night. Be careful not to get caught, though!

Notice the subtle hint towards Luigi being in the game there? Yes, I put these hints in a few role PMs, notably those who had previous connections to the mafia in games. Unfortunately, Reenk was killed off early in the game, but to that end the purpose of his role was served. I didn’t want to give the only action investigator ability to a single player, so I decided to spread it between two, with each one investigating on opposite nights. Reenk was killed off early on by a still-vigilante Sephiroth, so he never reached his full potential. If there’s a positive side, it’s that I didn’t have to find a replacement for him once he left on vacation or whatever.

Diana Abnoba:


You are Bowser Jr., the son of Bowser and a recurring villain throughout the Mario series.

You were brought to strange laboratory along with your father, Bowser. If helping the fat old man with the funny-looking mustache will allow you do finally defeat Mario and rescue Mama Peach from his clutches, then you will do all you can to help out. Do your best to find those losers who oppose the Council of Villains.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

Oh, and don’t worry about being killed during the night. Your dad will protect you from any attack, so long as he lives. Although he may not be able to stop the Council from lynching you if they decide you are the traitor…

Go, Bowser Jr., and show those punks how tough you really are!

This role went to Diana Abnoba for two reasons. First, she PM’ed me to ask for a smaller role this time around, since she was thrust into a mafia role in Inishmore, which I presume was her first game. Second, ATPG warned me that he would know immediately if she was mafia by virtue of the two of them living in the same house. Given these two requests, I decided the easiest way to resolve the potential problem would be to give her a role where it wouldn’t really matter if ATPG found out about all the details- Bowser Jr. fit perfectly. Diana did a great job this time around, and succeeded in taking charge of the situation when Bowser was put out of commission by a mafia lynch.


Sazon123/Ichigo:


You are Vaati, a deadly wind sorcerer and the main villain of the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords subseries.

You were brought here by that blasted fool Eggman, but he does seem to have some sense in him. Ganondorf has joined up with him, and the two seem to be good friends now. Although you and Ganondorf are rivals for power in Hyrule, you both want to see Link dead, and you believe that this Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom can assist you in doing this. For that reason, until this machine has been completed and all of the traitors wiped out, you will work together with the other villains.

Your alignment is Villain. (Town)

You are encouraged to post in-character with Vaati’s personality, as an arrogant, overconfident sorcerer, as it will add to the game experience, though it is not strictly necessary for your role.

Go then, Vaati, and crush the fools so you can get back to taking over the world.

Vaati was another standard villain role. This led Ichigo into trouble towards the end of the game, when he was pretty much the only player left without an ability, and was lynched largely because of it. I am glad, however, that I did not give every player an ability, because then the game would have been even more unbalanced than it turned out to be in the town’s favor.

Bl4ckReaper/AggonyDuck:


You are Lord Zant, the Usurper King who has forced Zelda from the throne and plunged Hyrule into an eternal twilight.

Before being brought to this strange world, you were busy groveling under the great deity Ganondorf. He has given you all the power you have now, and he could take it away at any time he wishes, so you had best follow his wishes and assist the Council in destroying the traitorous villains. Besides, once that Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom is finished, Ganondorf will be pleased, and no one will be able to challenge your claim for the throne of Hyrule. You are the master of the Twilight Realm, after all.

You are encouraged to roleplay in Zant’s character. Be calm, collected, and ominous one moment, and a raving lunatic the next, especially when put under pressure. Have fun playing your character, it will add to the game experience.

Another standard townie role. I was looking forward to some raving lunatic roleplaying, but it never really fell into the right hands- there was plenty of hilarity, anyway. AggonyDuck’s lack of an ability, as with Ichigo, led him to a lynch towards the end of the game.
