OK so heres the deal, The Octisquids have invaded and millions are dead. In there squidy benevolence they say they will let us live provided Texas is sunk. The Texans appalled by the prospect, fight hard but are eventually overrun by yankees, hippies, people from the midwest and dumb southerners. Texas is sunk.

Now I need a place to live.

Or I plan to stay a while somewhere far away, you decide which is more probable.

Places I love:

France

Ok everyone knows I am a francophile. I simply love the place. The sheer ego on the people is enough to endear me. I love everything about France because it is Texas on the international stage. A relatively small place demanding that it be given the respect it deserves all the while kicking and screaming that it has to speak english and drink beer. A Texan can identify. Not to mention the food, women, and culture are simply amazing.

The one drawback is the lack of beer and the fact I don't speak French. I figure I can make weekend raids into Belgium and beat the hell out of any Frenchman who gives me lip or find a native girl. Problem solved.

UK

I hold a special place in my heart for Blighty . It's history is second to none. I could spend months in London alone. I enjoy a good ale and I could communicate fairly easily as the English speak a close cousin to English.

The drawbacks are I figure it will be to close America and I don't wanna be reminded of home after the accident.

Italy

Italy is wonderful place full of history great food and amazing women. I also think I will be the tallest man in Italy. The culture rivals Frances as do the women. The food is second to none I could eat pasta everyday

Drawbacks are I don't speak Italian and The wine culture is even more entrenched. I figure I can make weekend raids into Belgium and beat the hell out of any Italian who gives me lip or find a native girl. Problem solved.

Any other suggestions?

The Netherlands of course what other place. Women; France: not so much, it is very good at being second to the Netherlands though. The UK: there is a reason they get drunk. Italy: Already dead or dying. The Netherlands on the other hand is a pocket universe wrapped into a country, hot women, bursting with activity always something going on, beautiful to look at, the absolute cultural centre of Europe in each and every way, there couldn't possibly be a place that is cooler. Maybe Texas.

Holland is an interesting place to me. Amsterdam would be on top of my list but what do you have to offer? I mean France and Italy have amazing women and food while the UK would be familiar enough yet different enough. Give me some upsides!

Italy doesn't have any women, the place is dead everybody is 50+. France has loads of them though, but couldn't even hope to compete with us, comes down to this, like hot blonds ->netherlands, like hot brunettes -> france. Like something else, the rest. I am with you in the Francophile department I am in love with the place, but two weeks of the year max then I am back home. Amsterdam is a bit of a freestate by the way, we used to be the united provinces, bit like the united states, we are a very weird country with a very weird history when the rest of Europe was centralising governments we were still a lose alliance of provinces. That's also a plus no?

Or you can simply live under the sea.

How about moving to the Octosquid planet?

Judging by their aggressive trigger-happy invasion-prone nature, a Texan should feel right at home

Lern Italian. I mean it doesn't take that long as you jump into cold waters and simply start to live there.

Deadly spiders, venomous snakes, killer jellyfish, an interesting and varied wildlife!

The answer is sooooo obvious: stay in Texas. Despite being overrun by yankees, hippies, people from the midwest and dumb southerners AND being sunk, it is still the best place in the world. :7cowboy:

(sing to "Home on the Range")

Oh give me a home
Where the deep currents flow
Where the weird and the yankees all came
And when worst comes to worst
They'll learn why Texas is first
And the octosquid kingdom is lame.

Women in the UK are not that bad, though admittedly you have to know how to navigate the social strata (i.e. find the daughter of the proffesional middle class), in many places the Texan accent might be a drawback though. Having said that, I did know a girl who gets all flustered around big butch Americans and Canadians.

I hear the IHOP in San Antonio is offering free pancakes to native born Texans. :quiet: It's a front for the 2nd Texas Revolution. Squish the fish.

Is the class system still in place? If so that's extra points for you.

A drawback? I mean I really don't have much of an accent but a drawback?

I'm very far from being Butch.

Oz is a strong contender but I really don't think it could compete in the culture or history dept.

I'm pretty sure the answer to that will be somewhere in Scandanavia (or Germany). Maybe not rugby, but outdoorsy, athlethic types.

You might not appreciate the affection these types of women are prone to giving.
