well, it turns out i will have access to internet today, half of tomorrow (im getting my teeth whitened :beam:) and some of sunday. ui am currently at my fathers side grandparents house. then i am off to my other grandparents (mothers side) on monday, where there is no computer.

anyhow, grand time here. if you are ever on Coney Island Ave, look for a place called Mendy's. it is a FANTASTIC restaurant, one of the best kosher ones i have eveer been to. and ive been to a lot. even if you dont keep kosher, id consider going. sure, youd be out of place, but their Deluxe Burgers are AMAZING.

i also learned 2 things about travelling with toddlers:
1)they are a pain to go with through airport security
2) they are awesome to have with you when boarding the plane. we got on first!

cheers!
passover starts tomorrow night, so i can still feast on pizza and burgers until then.

oh, speaking of the devil!
i was reading those "true facts" in the snapple bottles and my fact was "texas is the only state where you can cast absentee balots from space."
cool, isnt it?

and as for those numbers, ill only give when you convert. weve been over this.

well, another report from the front lines:

i went to sleep last night at 12:30 after watching the "weight loss" episode of The Office. so funny!
i had to wake up at 5:45 am for prayer. today is a special day, besides the day before passover.
according to judaism, once in every 28 years the sun is in the position that it was during creation. today is that day.
so i woke up at 5:45, got to services at 6:10, prayed until 6:50 (observant jews pray 3 times a day: the morning, afternoon and evening). then we all went outside afterwards, to a place where we could all see the sun clearly. then we said a prayer and that was it. wait- 28 years for that?
we got home, ate breakfast, watched some TV, and now here i am. 7 hours until passover starts.

Wow, really? I wish it wasn't cloudy out where I am.

Hooahguy

yeah, cool, isnt it- provided you believe in creation.
the event according to judaism is called "Birkat HaChamah" (blessing [Birkat] on the sun [hachamah]). sound like idol worship, right? well dont hold your breath. its not. one a month we also bles the new moon in somethnig called "Kiddush Levanah" (sanctifying [kiddish] the moon [levahnah]).
see? you just learned 4 new hebrew words!

well, today was eventful. we went to see the newly renovated USS Intrepid. it was about a 45 minute walk from times square to the ship. but when we got there, we found out that the line was too long, and we would miss the play. plus it was cold and very windy. so we walked back to times square, looked around, had lunch in the park near the square, then looked around the shops.
we saw a bunch of funny bumper stickers. my fav was "im a drunk, not an alchoholic. alcoholics go to meetings." :laugh4:

anyhow, after we looked around, we went to see the play "the lion king."
it was really good, i recommend it.
then i got home and now i am wathcing Brige over the river Kwai."
