View Full Version : alex.exe and rtw.exe savegames

I just recently started a new campaign in rtw.exe, but I was thinking of switching to alex.exe sometime this week.

I know rtw.exe savegames are compatible with alex.exe, but my main reason for switching to alex.exe is the immortality trait that would improve my game significantly. And as far as I know, any EDCT changes do not reflect in a running campaign.

I hate it when my FMs die, so I am forced to reload. Eventually that becomes impossible due to the number of FMs dying, the number of times one is allowed to reload (after so many reloads of a single season change, no matter how many times you do the "End Turn", the result is always the same). Also, when fighting large battles in between turns, reloading is especially annoying as I would have to fight the battles again.

So, will I have to start a new campaign or will switching to alex.exe actually make my FMs immortal?

P.S. I would appreciate if someone answered this as soon as possible :smash:, because I am about to have my five hours of EB, something I get once a month. Yesterday and today were my first days of playing EB since the winter holidays of 2008!

Thanks in advance

I never got that, why is it so important for your family members to live forever? In my Romani campaign I have so many family members I don't know what to do with them...

I just cannot let go of generals I carefully cultivated for so long and led them to their victories and such...

Anyway, that is not of importance. Does anyone know if Immortality is compatible with an rtw.exe savegame on alex.exe?

Highly unlikely I would say - immortality does not work in RTW.

Only 5 hours a month? Why does a 15 yr old have so little free time?

Something's not right here :inquisitive:

Or something is exactly right  Nah, I guess he does other things as well instead of just burning his PC with hours of sitting behind a screen playing EB.
