Mouse tooltip stays on

When I loaded a saved game the mouse tooltip stayed on displaying whatever was under it like the city or region or whatever. It does not go off whatever I click. I tried changing various mouse settings to no avail. Anybody got any ideas?

After some more testing I have found it is the game that is bugged not the saved game. I opened three other saved games from other campaigns with the same results. Could it be a Steam update?

Oh for deity's sake!

If the game is broken (I don't think it is, but it might be for you) then it is an error of the game. Steam doesn't do anything to your game by itself. If CA made a patch that may have screwed the game up, it is CA's error, not steam. You're shooting the messenger.

what I meant was an update via Steam. Sorry for the unclarity.

Oh. Then apologies for the outburst.

Some of the patches have caused difficulties for some. I imagine that an update may have caused the problem. However, I haven't heard of any reports similar to yours, so I know of fix.
