So 'ive been playing the drums for a couple of years now.
Couple of weeks ago I found a very interesting video that could help me allot with my practice.
Unfortunately this site seems to go on and offline every once in a while.
So does anyone know a descent live stream downloader so I can keep this vid on my pc?
Preferably freeware since i'm only interested in only 1 video.

Have a gander at this (http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/) and let us know if it's helpful.

If you use firefox or IE, just download the newest RealPlayer (http://www.real.com) and it will install a plugin that allows you to download videos from youtube etc.
In Firefox it's very convenient and a button shows up above the video, in IE it seems you have to right-click the video.

RealPlayer? For reals? You must have had better experiences than I, 'cause I've had nothing but problems whenever I even touch that stuff.

He didn't specify the source of the video, so I linked to the most general-purpose tool. If it's a matter of just extracting a fully-loaded Flash video (as with YouTube) there are easier tools.

Well, I haven't used that plugin often but when I have it either worked or the stream was not allowed to be copied(like some sites where you can watch movies after paying, makes sense there)
I never had any big issues with Real Player though I don't use it often either, sometimes it can play DVDs just fine when other players cause problems. And since version 10 it also looks really nice and has a nice interface. ~;)

Ha yes realplayer.

Completely forgot about that one.
I used it couple of pc's ago.

I'm kind of an unorganized guy so to avoid this problem I normally keep downloading programs to a minimum.

Otherwise my desktop would be a shortcut dump in no time with a hard drive to match.

But this time an exception has been made.
Realplayer doesn’t look that bad indeed.

Also much thanks to you Husar.

I always remove all desktop items completely (there's an option when you right-click your desktop under view or so), that way I never get a shortcut mess and I can always see whatever nice wallpaper I happen to have.
The programs I use often I then put into the quickstart bar, the rest I access through the start menu.
Makes your computer look so much tidier. ~;)
