Following the example of a couple of previous other members posting their historical figures, I present to you Alkibiades (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alkibiades):

A shame he is in the wrong time. And place. Or the faction for that matter. Then again, he was always a rebel at heart. I just hope his Lesbos expedition does not turn out like his Sicilian one :laugh4:!! It is also a shame he only has 3 stars. So guys, should I do my best to bribe him, or should I see what he does to the Maks? That Makedonian fleet has a fullstack in it BTW.

Bribe him and try assigning him an ethnicity through the console. :2thumbsup:

Bribe him
Muahaha!!!!! Got him; he is mine, for 460,000 mnai (his army was all silver chevron, which I disbanded)! On a side note, why is there an Eleutheroi Iphikrates at Thermon? That bloke is long dead by 272 BC.

Ehm... That's cenrtainly not the Alkibiades of the Peloponnesian Wars, Aemilius. I think you got things a little mixed up...

I thought the point of this thread was to find EB characters that have names of real historical characters...maybe I was wrong and AP does think he's the real deal...:sweatdrop:

I think AP knows. See below.

That would suggest it is a different one. Names were not limited to one person, after all, and Iphikrates apparently was one of the more common Greek names.
Ha! That's nothing, in a ptolie campaign I actually found a captin called Antiochos Soter!:laugh4:
Crap it won't allow me to upload it, damnit!

Ah! I remember having a general, while playing as Aeduii, called Brennos, born in Cisalpine gaul. I trained him fighting against illyrians, rhaetians and germans, and then sent him through Italy facestomping romans
Oh, the memories...
I've had a couple of Caivs Ivlivs Caesar's...

Same here. Plus a captain called Leonidas. And he was of the KH.

Let me guess, He hired a bunch of Gaesatae Spartiatai and went about kicking, Pontus, Hayasdan, and Pahlava into giant holes? :laugh4:

I had a Macedonian Captain called Parmenion, and his bodyguard were Thessalians.
Beat that!

i just recently adopted a caius iulius caesar into my romani family :2thumbsup:
the year is about 258 BC but nevermind
I remember bribing that Alkibiades dude in my Epeiros campaign. He went on to govern Byzantion for at least 20 years before dying of old age. He was really boring, not at all like his historical namesake. I never could get him to marry and have kids though...:shame:
I once conquered Gaul with a Caivs Ivlivs Caesar :2thumbsup:
although it was over 100 years too early...

Get a nice victory with him so he becomes man of the hour and then develop him further!!:idea2:
I also had twice Caius Iulius Caesar with my Romani Campaign. I had three important families in my country, the Licinius Lucullus, the Papirius Carbo and the Iulius Caesar!
It actually was Quintus Iulius Caesar who conquered the most and became one of my best generals, I was glad to find out his son Caius took after his father and was Sharp,Ch.Vig. He led my elite uberarmy, sadly, I advanced so fast, when it finally reached the border (came all the way from Roma), I already won the campaign...:shame:
I actually had two Iulius Caesar families, but the other less known one was just a family to govern my cities...
Also I could adopt one, which sadly was already dead when I adopted him.

I've had a Diodorus Soter recently marry into the royal family as AS, hopefully he'll give me a few well named sons!
