EB 3?

I been playing Europa Barbarorum a lot lately. Will there ever be a EB 3 released, if there hasn't already?

EB3 if there will be may be on empire but in empire there is no city battles (sieges sallies) that really kills the concept of EB, methinks but who knows if some manages to mod it but believe me it would be harder to mod empire than any other exes. the more variety the more torture for modders! :wall:

yes from iberia to even japan you can mod empire, and to think to fight as romans with Han Empire in china is breath taking..:dizzy2:

but there should be at least 100 modders to perform it it may take an alone modder more than 10 years! :wall:

We may as well use it to discuss post EB II projects. So, am I the only one who thinks EB III on Empire engine is not worth doing. I mean, I am the guy who is not looking forward to EB II, as Asia ton Barbaron or an IBDF equivalent would bring the much-needed freshness to EB. Making almost identical remakes is simply not as much fun. Sure, new features and factions are introduced, but many features disappear as each TW is farther from the Antiquity. M2TW has too many bugs.

I may be old-fashioned, but another RTW mod by the EB team would be splendid.

I think that while they have melee combat, it is too far from the fighting of antiquity to be relevent, are there any units in the game with shields? I haven't played any eastern factions so I don't know. There are certain things that an antiquity game needs and unless this game has no modding restrictions I don't see how it could be done.

I think the E:TW engine is perfect for a Han Dynasty Mod. Crossbow warfare aglore!

PREPARE FOR EBIII: BARTIX INVASION!

E:TW isn't really suited for classical warfare. Many of the old mechanics like fighting to the death, reenforcements and other things have been completely stripped away(Move Fire, Phalanx, etc). Honestly, I think that Kingdoms is probably the msot feature complete TW game.

That being said, ETW might work well for a WWI-Modern Warfare mod or a Warhamme 40K mod(cover, destructable cover, and other stuff is already there.)

It could be an infinitely complex game...there could be all sorts of factions, too many to count...it could be chaos...
Still kind of pointless if you can't siege things.
