HELP EB dows not start

Hi together.
At first: I am german, so i excuse mayself for any mistakes.

To my Problem: I installed EB1.2 to RTW 1.5 but it does not load. At the first loadingscreen the game does nothing. It gives do windows no answer. Normally this meens that it crashed in any way, but than a messege would appear to tell me what happened but here,..., nothing.

I do not know what information i should give you so when you need something to help, please ask. Dxdiag or so i do not know.

I hope you can help me^^.

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is but your English is better than my German so I can't complain. I'll go through what might be the problems.

Did you install EB 1.1 before EB 1.2? Because EB 1.2 is a patch, not the entire game. You need to install EB 1.1 and then EB 1.2 on top of it.

Did you install all the fixes (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=109936)?

Are you just getting stuck on the EB loading screen and it's taking ages? Because it's meant to; the game is huge, and takes a long time to load up, much longer than any Vanilla game.

So your EB just sits on the title screen? But it doesn't crash?

If it doesn't crash, then it is working (even if windows tells you it isn't). Just wait a few minutes.

So i read a lot about the problem, that EB needs a lot of time to load an so.
But when i start the Task Manager of Windows, you know were you can check you running progs an so on, the on the main site the manager tells you that the game "does not answer" (from german to english) Normally this meens for me that the game crahsed in any way.

So i will test wether its a problem with the game, that i installed something wrong or it needs some time to load,.....

i hope its the way to load

Nope, as long as it doesn't actually crash back to desktop, it is still working.

Try to start it up when you go out from the house some time. If it's still not up when you get back, there's a problem. It should usually get up in somewhere between 2-30 minutes, depending on your system and whether it's the first time starting it.

You see its the problem with the time. This mornning i went out and started the game, when i came back it was at the main menu. so i tryed it a second time and after 15 minutes it runs ok.
Why it is so slow. I know of different mods for RTW and BI whre the loading time is the same as for RTW?? Its confusing, but the game is great and makes the long time not so bad ^^.

Because EB pushes the engine to its absolute limit. Its huge, and requires a large loading time. The less RAM and stuff you have the longer it will take
