New to M2TW...couple questions not found...

Hey all!

I recently bought the Gold Edition (U.S.) and noticed there were a few different patches to download. I downloaded/installed the U.S. Gold Version Patch...

Am I current or is there another patch to install on top of this one? (i.e v1.3)
or
What is the current version number?


In MTW, as long as there were a port, a consecutive string of your ships and no enemy blockades, I could move an army all around the map very quickly. Is there a way to do this in M2TW? If not, how does the "rally point" or "way point" work for the ports? (Alt+right-click thing IIRC)

Welcome to the .org TeHpWNaG3 ~:wave:

1. 1.3 is the current version (MTW2 + Kingdoms)

2. Troops have to be loaded onto ships in your ports now or can be loaded when you have a ship on the coastline. Then manually point and click where you want the ship to go - take the troops off the ships in the same way you loaded them. Watch out for those pirates early on.

3. The "alt click" works by sending any new ships or troops spawned from the city/castle/port to the location you select, so for example as the English, once you've taken York you might want to set up Nottingham castle to autosend spearmen to garrison it.

Afaik 1.3 for M2TW, 1.5 or so for Kingdoms.

I am currently running v1.02, according to the options screen. Since I have the Gold Edition I can't be certain if anything other than the Gold Edition patch will work for me. :dizzy2:

Anyways, thanks for the tips! I am enjoying the game very much.
