War of Succession?

Playing over the weekend on a Long Campaign as GB, a message came up saying the Prussians were disputing my right to the throne and I was now engaged in a war of succession. I know what that is, but what are the game implications for it? If any?

None. It is just another reason for the AI to DoW on you. It is messed up. Theoretically, only nations that have royal ties to you should be able to dispute your succession. As it currently stands, the royal family trees are disabled, even though actually exist in the game. There is at least one mod that enables it.

Hence, the republic USA disputed my (GB) succession the very turn it emerged in Virginia (rebelling against their Iriquois conquerors). Unfortunately for them, I had a nearly full stack right next door in the Carolinas...
