I'm at 1786 with both Britain and the Martha Conf ahead of me in a Prestige campaign.
I've just taken out France who were in 3rd position.
Does anyone know where the Martha HQ province is on the map and what it's name is?

Just roll over all of India. It works for most blitz'ers.

I don't have the time (1786) or the inclination to blitz.
I just need their HQ province so I can "take them out" so to speak.

You can't take them out that way. As long as they have a region in India left they will be alive. Their HQ is the region above Mysore by the way.

Hmmm,
So if I land in England and take out London, GB will still be in the game? Likewise that is the same for the Martha Conf?
yes, but if u take out london scotland and ireland u wil knock GB out asuming they have no other provinces in europe, unfortunatly Marthras home theatre is india so u would have to take all their indian provinces to knock them out

jees,
So what is the best way to bleed prestige away from these two nations in the final 15 years of the Prestige Campaign?
I'm so close as Prussia.
I really recommend a Prestige campaign for everyone. It's quite a balanced concept. Although I'm not sure it counts Prestige correctly.
well realisticly GB shouldnt be too hard to take out, if u can muster 3 good armies just land them all in 1 turn and take everything ?
as for marthras i can only suggest taking out their bigger cities, and perhaps hunting their armies and navies down. im not sure how prestige works but i would think population and army and navy size would be large factors, u cant hurt the technology prestige. take a few big cities (ill post a few examples when i get home from work if u want) cos if u take a couple of 10-20 mill pop cities there overall pop will crash, and taking out their armies and navies should take that down a notch or 2. rather than blitz just lead tactical strikes against specific targets
oh block their trade routes so they lose trade prestige?

Tactical strikes is what I'm thinking about.
I'm going to have two veteran stacks and one nice big naval stack free to reek havoc in about 2 years. The plan is to send them to England and Martha Conf and blow the crap out of something.
The question is what should it be?
I've got a moral dilemma about doing anything to GB as they have been such a great trading partner for so many years...and I do trade with them also...a lot. The Martha Conf I have no contact with so that will be my main area of attack as it will not affect my trade. If I do anything to GB I'll lose about 2600 units of trade. For both of us. The idea I had was to reduce Martha while at the same time increasing my Prestige to pip the British in the final years.

my suggestion, block trade ports so both their econmies go down the drain, in my marthras camp, my cities with 5 build slots were, Bijapur, Mysore, Hyperbad, Hindustan and Bengal. But the biggest population wise in my camp were Bengal with 64 mil, Hindustan with 38mil and Amadnagar with 27 mil.
so theres a few targets if u wanna give em a try, im not sure why the pop is so low in Bijapur. also i would suggest taking out any fleets they mite have in the trade theaters as that will also cripple them.
hope that helps

Great. I'll unleash the Prussian Navy on them and see what happens.
I would recommend attacking them on land. You'll be able to reduce their prestige (AFAIK losing battles & regions reduces prestige) and gain more prestige yourself so you can pass GB.

ok I've passed GB in the year 1794, I'm now in Maratha taking provinces, but there are only 4 years left. It's 1796, and they are still in the 3000's while I'm only breaking 2000 now.
It's a double dip though. I'm taking points off them while gaining myself, but I think it's a lost cause.
Percussion shells...OH MY LORD, these things are beyond impressive. I've got 4 24lb howitzers and they singlehandedly took the Maratha army apart.
Unreal!! :2thumbsup:

Indian provinces require large garrisons once taken, thereby taking your army out of offensive action for quite a few turns. Since you have 8 turns left you can probably take and hold 1 new region per army you have in India right now. During the last turn, you can move out of the newly taken regions to try to take a few more before the end since rebellions take multiple turns to foment. That MAY get you the points you need but being 1000 down is a lot of points. You're done researching tech right?
Percussion shells should be a top research priority, that is the most effective shot type in the game by far (CA is going to nerf howitzers in the next patch). The only thing that comes remotely close is cannister-firing horse artillery but it has limited range and right now 1 volley of percussion shells will likely destroy any closing artillery (CA is going to make arty survivability higher so this might not be the case later).

So that's for the advise guy's.
in the end I couldn't make up the difference. I got to 2550 Prestige points to the Maratha Conf's 3300 odd.
I'm going to wait for the next patch before starting another Prestige Campaign. Although I have no idea who I will be. Having done GB and now Prussia I'm in a bit of a bind as to what to do.
I'll also increase from H/M to H/H for the next game.
