Pahlava and Bactria

I see that at the starting date of the EB campaign, Pahlava and Bactria are allies. From reading "Thundering Zeus" (I'm actually at the beginning of the book), It is said that Arsaces was driven out of Bactria by Diodotus and then attacked semi-independent satrap of Seleucid Parthia, where he was more successful. Only Diodotus II made peace with Pahlava and even allied with them against Seleucids.

So, what to believe?

They should indeed be at war with each other, had the mod started right in the 250 BCE. This is a correct observation, given its historicity and its outcome which was pivotal in chaning the course of the Arsacid influence westwards.

However because the mod starts at 272 BCE, and there is no Bactrian kingdom yet, per se, the concessions that have been made were primarily addressing gameplay issues, preventing the two minor powers from being totally consumed by the Seleucids.

My that does give the player much more perspective! I've also thought that starting a lot of historical events about 20-40 years earlier justifies people, when or if they play with Rome, to get several decades of playing with the Augustan Reform (among numerous other perks and happy compromises between historical accuracy and gameplay for just about every faction).
