I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas for a new name for the Koinen Hellenon. The faction is down to Krete and Rhodes, with only the sons of Chremonides living. I have called them the Attilid Dynasty but it doesn't seem right, any thoughts?

IMHO You should probably give them a name like the Rhodes and it's allies, or Rhodian empire, Rhodian alliance or such. In those times Rhodes was far more influental and powerful then anyone or anything in Crete, so it would be more plausible for the Rodhians to conquer Crete then any other scenario...

Hmm, that closely resembles "Attalids", the rulers of Pergamon.

I think he was pointing at the Attalids.

Attilid Dynasty? Certainly, it wouldn't be a Dynasty. Secondly, "Attilid" doesn't sound (grammatically) correct either. I would stick with Koinon Hellenon (after all, it means "League of the Hellenes") if I were you.

Haaa, Forget them all and listen a real warrior : You should give up any Hellene faction and turn to the dark side of the forest!

Only two faction are worthy to rule : Sweboz and hum... Sweboz!
and the adventage is that you don't have to crush your head to find other names! :smash:

I was hoping you would reply Maion, I didn't think Attilid Dynasty sounded right. League of Hellenes sounds like an alliance of equals, I plan to have these guys conquer territories and rule over them, rather than "liberating" Greek cities. It's for an AAR, which is why the distinction is important. Here's the AAR if anyones interested:http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=263040

Hegemonia Athenaion (ΗΓΕΜΟΝΙΑ ΑΘΗΝΑΙΩΝ in Greek) springs into mind, meaning "Hegemony of the Athenians".
