I've seen when i played a long game, that Pontos and Macedonia have unique buildings. Pontos has those Pontic king shrines, that can become a Pontic royal Stoa, while Macedonia has the fortress garrison.... I've been wondering what other buildings are there for other factions? Buildings that are completly unique (unique upgrades) that don't include wonders? Probably the only way to find them would be to play campaigns long enough, so i'm asking you guys if you've seen any new upgrades while playing long games? I also noticed that Hayasdan has a few uniques if i'm not mistaken

"...\EB\documentation\JMRC Building Trees" should help you. There you can see all buildings, that a faction can build. Ceterum censeo Romam esse delendam.

The KH has "Heröon" shrines/monuments, dito for Arverni, Aedui and Casse ("Hero Tombs").
Swêboz have a Thengoz "building", which is really the most useful structure they have apart from their barracks. (build time: 1 turn; cost: 2000 mnai; effects: +10 law bonus :dizzy2:)
Baktria and Saka Rauka can construct Buddhist monasteries (takes a hell of a lot of time, though, especially if you want to upgrade them).
Hayasdan and Pahlava (maybe also Pontos) can construct Persian Gardens. :2thumbsup:
Pahlava can build royal outposts (Karawansarai) and Secret Police Headquarters.

I was never aware that Makedonia was the only one to have garrison fortresses.
Can I give Makedonia Secret Police Headquarters as well, or would it interfere with the building tree?

Saba has ritual hunts (1 turn, expensive, +5% happiness), banquet halls (8 turns iirc, +5% happiness)
and large royal banquet halls (not sure, 10 turns? +10% happiness?) as well as three levels of trade caravans with up to two increases in tradeable goods (the first level makes no difference but takes 8
turns and costs 1000 mnai; second 6 turns and 2400 mnai iirc, third 10 turns and 6400 mnai iirc).

Rome has Auguries
Just a note to all of you, lest you have not realised it yet: Auguries are equivalents of Taverns of other nations. They take up the Tavern slot and they cause one's own generals to all become drunken imbeciles. Very, very, very, bad building. I suggest only erecting it in cities that will not obtain governors. Exceedingly nasty the Drink trait is. It will progress even when the generals are outside of the "wet" city. I endorse prohibition for the cities of Romani players.
The trait "Occasional Drinker" give +1 Influence. Then it progresses to "Likes a Drink". After that it escalates to "Drunkard" with -1 Command and Management. 'Drunken Lout" gives Influence -1, Command -1, and Management -2. If this was not enough, it can become even worse, with the Sot and Paralytic level. I have had countless generals in my first Romani campaign get the first level, after which I ordered a mass destruction of Auguries, only to stare aghast as my generals' Drink traits progressed. They usually stop at "Drunkard" and sometimes even at "Drunken Lout" though. Then again, I have not gotten very far into time in that campaign. It was a blitz, so I won pretty early.
Hmm, follow the example of the great Burebista, then, and burn the vines in a national prohibition. :idea2:

Huh? What does Burebista have to do with this? Has he done the same as I?

LOL! The first campaign I played was Makedonia (pre 1.0), then Epirus (1.0) then Rome... (1.1) When I progressed with Epirus I thougth the Garrison fortress was taken out:sweatdrop:

Those buildings are both the same building tree, just with different descriptions. So, you can have only one.

 Secret Police would have been fitting my sinistre longings for evilness.

Rising chieftain over his nation, which was tired after so many wars, Burebista the Getian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burebista) brought it so high through physical exercises, the banning of wine and rule through obedience, that in a few years he built a mighty State. - Strabo (EB)
