Has anything been done to fix the AI not signing peace treaties with itself? If not, here is a quick suggestion. Why not code in an automatic ceasefire if Country A and Country B do not engage in any kind of battle for a certain number of turns (say 10). This would prevent Spain being at war with Poland for the entire game or Prussia being at war with everyone from turn 10 on.

Good idea? Is it possible?

Sounds in principle like a good idea -especially for factions with no shared frontier or conflict area.

On the other hand, I think it's a good thing for Austria and Poland to be at war alot, although not neccessarily the whole game. I think it would be good to factor economic capacity in the equation, i.e. if the factions can't afford offensive war, then they sue for peace.

War might then be governed by ambition and enabled by economic capacity. Assuming the AI can keep up with that vain hope...

That is a good point, perhaps ceasefire if no conflict for ten turns and no shared border? But maybe we would want Austria and Poland to sometimes ceasefire, maybe after 15 or 20 turns of no conflict. Not every war needs to be a 100 years war

Today they claim it does make peace!

But that is a load of bull…someone had to change something or they have a version of the game that we know nothing about…

:laugh4:

Even if the AI will make peace with you, I am more concerned about the AI not making peace with the other AI factions...it is silly that Prussia is at war with every power for the entire game starting at 1702. How then can Prussia and GB form an alliance to defeat France? :book:
