Ladies and gentlemen,

You are all misguided!

Forget world crisis, recession or depression, forget Iran and North Korea working on nuclear weapons, forget about Somalian pirates.

Those are not the things that matter in life!

The Flemish Parliament has made an important decision and proudly presents to you the solution of all problems:

Beer! (http://thebulletin.typepad.com/onlyinbelgium/2009/02/cheers-mister-speaker.html)

Cheers mister speaker

The Flemish Parliament celebrated the launch of their very own beer last week. Called the Halfrond, meaning hemicycle, the 7.5 percent frothy beer brewed by Van Steenberge in Ertvelde replaces the Champagne otherwise served at the Parliament and can also be bought in the Parliament shop.

At least, we have a Parliament that does something useful!*

I think I'm going to visit the Flemish Parliament soon, to follow the interesting debates with a nice glas of "Halfrond" ~

* It also explains a lot... Meh, at least our MP's have an acceptable excuse when they screw up :laugh4:

No doubt it will be created by committee out of fermented camel.

That would be way too bitter.

That would be way too bitter.
It would also lead to budgets getting out of control and growing lager and lager. Still, as the economy hops along, we can ale the congressmen for getting their priorities right.

Still, a bitter pils to swallow.

Can we get that stuff (Halfrond) in a 6-pack? :)

I was hopping you would as you seem to have a good head on you. Unless it's all froth of course.
