playing ronin

Hi all:

I just tried playing ronin using the .conan. cheat http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif However, the game crashes everytime there is a Ikko-ikki rebel (and I click on it).

Is there anyway to solve this problem? thanks a lot. ? http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

After a rebelion (you gaining troops) don't ask info on the new unit or anything.. leave it like if it is not there (giving it attention crashes the game http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif )

Yah, don't click on it til the next season. Also, there's a bug that causes a crash (occasionally) if you use the Daimyo to assault a castle. Think it's if you don't use the auto-combat feature.

start a game as imagawa, 1st turn, invade owari and kill lord oda, ALL oda's land then goes ronin, then type .conan. and marvel at the amount of land u have, it is easy to complete the game this way,
but if i rememebr, on expert this is near impossible

Thanks for the tip. While I played I also drew all of my Ise army to attack Owari, and killed Oda. And all Oda land becomes mine! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif (but I will lose the troop producing facility in Ise).

Ronins seems receive far less in the harvest. I finished expert at year 1542 A.D. Since I don't have to worry about revolt at all, I just attack and attack. As long as I killed their daimyo my power boost again.

Thanks for the tip too,evilc,although I had to wait 'til the second turn to kill Oda.Killed Imagawa the very next go, after turning Ronin, and the rest were easy meat without having time to tech up.Every time I killed a Daimyo he was heirless so I copped everything except for two Mori provinces which went to Shimazu.Stormed the last four Shimazu strongholds to put Nippon into total chaos in winter 1533.
As someone has said elsewhere on here-pity you don't get a statue.
