The only explination to how baktria was reduced to mere rebel towns was that its huge faction had no heirs or family members rite? Iv never seen this happen be4.

I just started a sweboz campaign on v hard/ v hard and its the hardest iv tried so far. its weird on every campaign its almost a gamble into which factions will rise the fastest. ne way germany is doomed from the east the sarmation army is wiping everything out and sweboz dont stand a chance they r all dead by arrows be4 they can see any action. From the south and west romans and lustanna are wiping out my boarders aw well as fighting amoungst them selves. Sweboz simply dont have the man power, fortifications or skill to take on these armys at full strength.

So iv sent a ship with an elite army to the depth of spain to start new lol.

Has ne 1 got ne explination to why baktria had no family members when it had a empire of more than 10 provinces?

Ps how do u add ss's? thx

It happened to me once as well, albeit to Lusotannan and this was only a few turns into the game (at about 270bc).

What I think happened in my game was that the faction leader and heir were in the same army and they both died in battle (the leader has died, so the game makes the heir the new lea....there is no heir, faction destroyed!). Or, it could have been an aggressive rebel stack, for they left their capital practically undefended.

I'm guessing for your case, considering the size of the faction, it must have been the leader and heir being killed in the same battle.

All of the family members must have been in one battle and lost. When they all die, the faction's cities turn into rebels. Thats the best I can say.

In one of my campaigns Koinon Hellenon suddenly got wiped out. They were down to one family member after a couple of them died in battle. It was an old geezer (in his seventies), so he probably died before a new faction heir could be spawned.

I remember wiping out Aedui in my past romani campaign with assassins. They has two settlements chock-full of solid, experienced troops and I had my swarms of spies and assassins that follow all my armies. So one by one, I killed off all their FMs until I had just the Faction Leader left.

Just for the lulz, I tried my luck assassinating him, even though I had 1% chance with a 10-subterfuge assassin. Not surprisingly, I failed. Despite this , I reloaded, and once again, just for lulz, tried my luck again. Nd I got the dirty barbarian! Audeui were wiped out, and their armies significantly downscaled (in quantity and quality) into Eleutheroi versions or entirely disbanded.
