As usual, Silence Hunter's screenie has the most vibrant colours due to his impeccable graphics card :P

Very good selection. Between 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11...
I'd have to choose 11. Though it pains me to see falx-wielding soldiers being cut down, it's the Getai doing the shooting. Fire arrows + effects = :2thumbsup:

Looks like I am banning elephants in the next competition... Well, I knew it would be between Silence Hunter and Fluvius. I said that, but then edited out the stuff, which I mentioned in the beginning. Neutrality, y'see.

Well my vote was for the 9 it was a realy épic screen, a chaos in a street, with phalanx and kats, and the golden sun of the East, it look like a fresk, only miss hear that eastern horn... beutifull although the one with the Elephant and the Prodomoi, or trakian prodomoi, is very good too.
Indeed, it was a close one for me between 9, 11 and 13. But in the end I went with 9.

I voted 7. It's a very nice shot that was made in just the right point of time and the elephant may aswell be a wall of spartans or Agyraspidai pointing their sticks at the poor fellow.
whereas i liked 8, 11 and 12 aswell.

Thanks, I got it. The reason all of those images are not showing up is because their URL leads to the .Org attachments thing, which is currently down, and therefore not a viable way of uploading&hosting images.

Except that Helvetic people are not at all Gauls, but of separate ethnicity, culture, and geographical position.

What makes you say that? Caesar, the main source on the Helvetii, describes them as part of Gaul.
Whilst they are thought to have originated in modern Germany, they were a celtic not a germanic people.

Arghh! You guys are driving me crazy with spam. No wonder most other competitions ended up getting locked by MAA. Looks like I will request the same.

So guys, I believe FYROM is rightfully named so. Who cares what happened 2,000+ years in the past? Jews used to own Palestine but that was 2,000 years ago. What right do they have to be there now? None, save for their power, determination, and hard work. Macedonians should keep their name. It is just a name. No reason why two bordering countries live in a cold war when trade and cooperation is so much profitable. Bollox. I say it is time for Greeks to shut their faces and accept Macedonians; time for them to stop acting like babies when the only thing that was "stolen" from them was a name, which has no value, not even commercial value.
