how to control another faction?

I'm allied with epeiros but every couple of turns 1 of their settlements rebels to me so I want to take control of the AI for 1 turn and fix their economy/unrest issues so they don't rebel to me.

I did a forumsearch and found some stuff but still not sure how to do it though.

I have to add "console_command control thrace" to the genericScript.txt and that's it?

Do I have to activate the EB script when I load my game?

"That's it" is not precise. It's not very much more though, and yes, it's the activation we're talking about. You can see the step-by-step instructions in the frequent issues.
