An anti-Syrian coalition, known as "March 14," defeated the "March 8" alliance composed of Hezbollah and its allies in Lebanon's parliamentary election on Sunday, politicians on both sides said.
So, is this a signal of waning Iranian influence? Will it be rendered for naught in a coup? Or has nothing really changed?

There are no winners and losers in this election, the only winner is democracy and the biggest winner is Lebanon.

Nothings really changed apart from the Christian vote swinging back to the fascists and LF

I'm happy with the result, but now the question remains wether the new government will be stupid enough to try to disarm Hezbollah again.

Isn't that question answered by the cabinet resolution stating that hezballah is a legitimate resistance organisation who can keep their arms until Israel complies with the UN resolutions.
