View Full Version : Is it possible to not be asked to kill ourselves by the Senate?
I know that when we reach a threshold of provinces, we'll fall out of favour with the Senate and they'll start asking things to prevent punishments instead of rewards, until they demand we kill our Faction Leader, or we're outlawed, which obviously is ridiculous and leads to the Civil War. Since I wanted to play as a strict Republican without having to face such a stupid request in due time, is it possible to edit out from the game that Senate request?

I think that this is hard coded into the game mechanics.
I'll move you on to the modding forums though, they may be able to do something for you.

This is my favorite tactic. I love sending him out in a BLAZE of glory with the flaming pigs.:campfire:
On a serious note, I have somehow managed to get rid of the senate missions altogether for the Julii in my mod. Unfortunately, I don't know how I did this, but as soon as I figure it out I'll let you know as this sounds like it is exactly what you are looking to do.

Okay by accident I figured out what it is you must do to remove the senate missions. You must go to RTW/data/desc_sm_factions. In that file you must take whatever roman faction that you do not want to have missions and move it below the roman sentate. For instance, to remove the missions from Julii you could simply move the Julii to the Macedon spot, and place the Macedonians in the Julii's former spot.
Be warned though that once you do this the roman faction that no longer gets senate missions will be lowly regarded by both the senate and the public.
