View Full Version : Destructible buildings
I already got the farms to be destructible (thanks to Aradan), but I was wondering if it is possible to do the government buildings and walls too?
Goverment buildings are hardcoded to be indestructible, and I think walls don't work right if made destructible, so you better leave those as they are.

Is there a way to reduce/remove the culture penalty for the Imperial Palace/Epic Stone wall then? Even if I raze the enemy city (destroy all other buildings), I am still getting a culture penalty from those two right?

there's nothing directly you can do about the culture penalty via modding (can't remember if it eventually disappears if you build a lot more of your buildings as player...?)
you could add a happiness bonus to the top level buildings you can't get rid of to counteract the culture effect.... if you combined that with a hidden resource and faction requirement you could make it so the faction only got a bonus from those buildings if it had taken cities outside its starting area - that would be regardless of who actually built the building though :thumbsdown:
