Hi all, i'm playing a good Roman campaign but i've some "problems" with my FMs.

They grew very high in influence and often menagement, but almost any of them has more than 1 command star. Just a couple have 1 star.

Why? I've a decent military infrastructure (i've just triggered the Polybian reform) and i've fought many great battles, 2-3 of my generals have the trait "vanquisher" and one of them is "vanquisher of carthage" or something like that.

I believe this is closely related with the fact that many traits in EB cause minus Command points. Check your dudes' traits. I'm pretty sure they have enough Command boosting ones, as well as negative. I didn't like this as well, so I installed the "Command Stars and Corsus Honorum" minimod located at the Unofficial Modding Projects Section.

Don't worry to much about the command stars, the important things are your traits where the real command factors are.
In my opinion morale being the most important as this affects a whole army.
The command stars are there for the AI to auto-calc battles in EB. Also you will usually start to get lots more stars as your FM's fight battles, in fact the only time stars really count is the two a Marian reform character needs.
Be careful about using auto-calc in a battle against an opponent with a lot of command stars!

Those can be tricky, crushing defeats from inferior armies.

Anyway, yeah, don't worry about them, the traits are the most important.

Are u sure u fight outnumbered? In my recent Saka campaign, my campaigning FM's usually reap a lot of command stars... (btw I don't reach the same level when I play KH Epeiros, or other non-HA factions)... don't worry...

Ah ok, altough i see my FM's are more likely to get negative traits... i never autocalc battles ;-)

I'll take a look to the "cursus honorum mod"!

Don't forget the one star needed to become Consul.

Comman stars don't particularly bother me in my Romani campaign, Sure it would be awesome to see you'r FM standing with 10 stars but as said by many people the traits are more important. For me my current greatest general is Lucius Scipio, still in the early years(258 to be precise) he has 5 fix command stars when doing nothing and it becomes 10 when i attack and 7 when i deffend. Didnt take much for me to get him those stars i just constantly do battles that would to a "sane" man be reckless and seemingly impossible to win Lol. Then again having +8 to morale always helps a lot xD

Remember command bonuses apply to units in the command radius of a general, I don't know how this is measured though. Morale bonuses or penalties apply to the whole army.

Command bonnus attack suits all General's bodyguards....

9 chevron Sahiya hadabara with 10 star FM.... has a really devastating effect.... not to mention that That FM alone could take half Seleukid army all by himself and his bodyguards... (the rest of the army is merely... a diversion...)
