How can I do a second EB installation on my computer ?

I am asking this to see which files should I rename temporarily ( or not ) so that I could have a second EB installation in my computer , as I understand there's the TrivialScript and some other features which come along the installation so I'm hestitant at the moment to just rename a clean installation of RTW 1.5 and proceed .

I would like to have a Vanilla ( as they call it nowadays ) 1.2 install , and another to experiment with the different submods , etc .

Now , how can I make sure that the installations won't be mixed up ? Also , how can I make a different name for my startup menu for the second installation ?

I am not particularly computer savvy ( rather , I 'd say I am a computer user evolutionary equivalent of homo erectus ) but I believe I am not that much off topic posting in this subforum ( also I made a quick search for the matter and nothing came up , so don't throw things at me ) and should be able to handle the task if given instructions .

You need to copy the whole RTW folder. Unfortunately, the trivial script will only work on one of your installations. You have to create your own shortcut for the second installation.

I tried the above mentioned ( new ) clean installation , installed EB from the start and created a new start up menu for the new installation , under a different name .

During the instalation I noticed that I installed again all extra features , so now I got two of everything . Is there a remote possibility that the features of every install will work seperately ?

Also , after the first couple of hours ( of frentic campaigning as the Saka ) I got my reforms as normal so everything seems to be working properly , also , I always run the game from the folder so I don't make any shortcuts to desktop . All extra features are installed in different folders . I got some CTD's but no more than usual , and mainly after battles .

Also , the other instalation operates under alex.exe if that counts ofr anything .

I haven't checked back with the other instalation , I hope it stll works .

Oh , one last thing , I understand that some of the things I wrote here make me look as if I almost know nothing of what I'm talking about/don't understand s*** about computers , well , that's the case so don't point and say na na nana na . I opperate computers on instinct . Thank you for your understanding .

I think the Trivial Script on your first installation will no longer work. Then again, as you are using the Alex exe, I suppose you're not using the Trivial Script there, so you should be good.
