Which CD for Alex.exe?

Right I've done RTW.exe to the end and I fancy trying the Alex.exe.
I've tried to run EB with this in the past and never got the game to run, the CD of Alexander I have is the "Virgin White Label". Is this the problem?
If so which CD should I buy, best value appears to be the Gold version of Rome and Alex?

i dont think thats the problem, a cd is a cd. are you sure you did everythink as in the instructions?

Hes right its not the CD, If you go into the alex topic u will find that i had trouble installing EB with alex and u will c around page 50-51 Vartan gave me good easy instructions with a link to DL the propper files because to be honest u might not have installed the right files for it to work properly.

If it's not a CD issue then I'll have a good look at LZ3's mod pack for Alex.exe and try and do a clean install from scratch, though it will be the end of my saves for RTW.exe.

Chris, what's your question? The Gold version is RTW/BI while Alex is on its own. If you just want to run EB with Alex engine, page 50 onwards of Alex EB post (as well as front page) has important info regarding how to do this.

Vartan sorry for the confusion it's RTW Gold plus Alex on amazon, I think it was £5.00. I'm half tempted to buy it as a back up cd in the event of a disaster!

Well mate, I'm not sure, but I wouldn't count it out. Seems like a good idea to me. Five quid ain't too bad.
