Title pretty much says it all. I've had a Logitech wireless notebook mouse for my laptop for the last year or so, with no problems whatsoever. Today, it just quit on me. Won't work. Put a new battery in, still didn't do anything. Figuring the mouse had just quit, I went to radioshack and picked up a new one. Plugged it in, stuck the battery in, and the one has decided not to work either. Is somethin' screwy with my laptop? :inquisitive:

Have you tried a different USB port?

Ya, none of them are working for the mouse. And as a note, my headphones are working from the USB ports just fine.

Is your laptop on a steel-frame desk? I had problems with that, I just went corded, less to go wrong.

You'll need to try Logitech's support website: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/support_downloads/

Just follow the links and select what your mouse is to bring up the knowledge base and start reading and following recommended procedures.

Here's the listing for the G7 laser mouse, in case that's what you have: http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=1TVp2TAj&p_lva=&p_li=&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_page=1&p_cv=&p_pv=3.821&p_prods=2765%2C2781%2C821&p_cats=&p_hidden_prods=&prod_lvl1=2765&prod_lvl2=2781&prod_lvl3=821&p_search_text=&srch_btn_submit=%C2%A0%C2%A0%C2%A0Search%C2%A0%C2%A0%C2%A0&p_new_search=1

why do you need a cordless anyway? the signal can be easily messed up; its much easier with a long corded one.

hell, you could get an extendable cord mouse at best buy for $17!!

Well, I haven't been able to figure out why the USB thing isn't working for the mice. Picked up an el cheapo wired mouse.

You're better off, those wireless things always fail on you when there's a not a single battery in your house.
